H Cabinet was by far the most competitive priced kitchen I could find after searching and calling around for over a month. It was literally almost half the price of most other bids. We got an entire kitchen and countertops installed for $8000. We did have a few small issues with paint chipping on a couple cabinet doors. I have bought kitchen materials from this business for many years at the Mira Mesa location and every time I go I swear it will be the last time but on January 13th 2020 was the last time that I will buy from this business. They have very rude employees specially the cashier which threw my invoice at me when I asked her a question about it. The guy in the warehouse is also extremely rude, rude and smokes while tending to you. The bathrooms are filthy with feces on them. I have brought the bathroom issue to them and they do not care to provide a clean bathroom environment. They don't care about customer service. Its always a problem when asking for a refund or a return because the cashier is so rude. I bought cabinets here for my kitchen. My sales person were pretty good about using their CAD program to help me design my kitchen cabinets. It was a bit amateur but helpful. The cabinets came in boxes to be assembled. Putting them together was fairly easy for me, even though there are no instructions. When I did have some questions, the company was absolutely no help. They could not refer me to anyone. They did not know much of anything themselves, or did not want to trouble themselves. There were some parts that were not labelled so I was not sure what they were for. Some of the cabinet pieces were scratched or marked up a bit. When I began to install them, I ran into some issues so I asked if their installers could complete the job. They said that they could only install from the beginning, or not at all. When I had them installed by someone else, I had a couple of cabinets (still in boxes) that I didn't use. I called them and they would not take them back. This was not a special order. Just some of their routine shipments. In general, they are somewhat rude and short. Not much customer service or personality. read more

I got a whole kitchen of cabinets, a 30" sink and faucet for around $2,000. It's a great deal as long as you're ready to assemble the cabinets yourself without instructions. A few of the router lines were off so I needed to use an oscillating multifunction tool to allow the pieces to fit together. This only affected two cabinets, but be prepared to do some custom work. It's a little daunting when you dump out a package of boards and hardware, and there are no instructions. But everything was there, there were even some pre-drilled or at least pre-marked screw locations. The basic procedure I used was as follows: Slot the side pieces into back piece and screw them together. There are predrilled holes in side pieces where they screw into the back, but make sure the routered slots on the back and side pieces line up. Next you'll slide the bottom plate in place and attach the front piece. The front piece has dowels to connect to the side pieces, and for wider cabinets (27" base, but not 18" wide or smaller) there is a dowel on the bottom plate as well. After you've made sure everything lines up, disassemble the front and bottom plate. You're gonna want to use wood glue where possible. I used Titebond III. So glue inside the slot for the bottom plate (on the back and sides of cabinet), and slide the bottom plate in. Next glue on the inside face of the cabinet front everywhere except where the dowels are. Carefully fit the front plate on, matching up the dowels and corresponding holes. A little glue might get on the cabinets, just use a damp towel to clean up. Have a mallet and clamps at least 24" at the ready. I found that every cabinet face was a little warped, so when you use the mallet to bang one dowel together, another one is popping out. But with the clamps that's not a problem. The only other thing that I could really have used advice on was the drawers. The first base cabinet I opened was the Waste Basket. So that one had two different types of tracks: one for the waste basket and one for the top drawer. There were all sorts of problems with the waste basket, and I ended up cutting out pieces and attaching in a custom way. The main point is that the tracks for the waste baskets attached to the sides of the cabinet (actually they attached to a 1 by piece of wood which in turn attached to the side of the cabinet). On the other hand, the rest of the drawer tracks didn't actually attach to the sides. Instead they have two clips that attach to two holes at the back of the cabinets, and then extend to attach to the face of the cabinet. So they kind of float through the cabinet about 2 inches from the sides. It seems secure enough, but it took me a while to switch set from thinking they would attach to the sides of the cabinet like the waste basket tracks. Oh and next time I'd skip the trim pieces, which were overpriced, and they have a way worse return policy than Home Depot in case you have extra or get the wrong thing. And, they recently switched suppliers from China to Malaysia (thanks a lot Covid-19), and so their stock is switching. I ended up getting some 42" and some 40" upper cabinets, and some had white inside and some had bare wood. For my purpose\/aesthetic it was not an issue, but I imagine that would be relevant to others. read more

Got the cabinets for a full "white" kitchen from these guys. Unhappy the cabinets quality, the exterior surface chips and scratches very easy, the interior on the cabinets exfoliates any time you want to change a shelf location. Unhappy with the customer service, one cab door came warped by a good 1.5" and one door came badly scratched. No matter how many times we asked, H Cabinets refused to replace anything under warranty (basically there is no warranty). The price is lower but the quality and service sucks. The kitchen looked great for one months. My advice is to spend a little more and get something that will last and from an outlet that cares about customers. read more

Bought 4 new sinks from them, one of them was clearly not new but rather refurbished, packaged back up and sold as new. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it until after the sink was already installed, I cleaned it once and the porcelain began chipping/rubbing off where they had tried to reglaze the sink to fill in cracks. The sink was an under mount so our countertop was cut to fit it and no one else carried the same size or type sink. As a result, I was forced to go back to get another sink from them. As per other reviews we have seen on Yelp, they blamed us for causing the cracks and said we should have looked at the sink before installing it. The problem is that the sink 'looked' new until after I installed it and cleaned it for the first time, which revealed their poor attempt to cover up a clearly defective sink. We will never go back to them again and would recommend others steer clear. They may be cheaper, but you get what you pay for! Not worth it because you will end up paying more in the long run. read more

I was so excited to get our kitchen remodeled. We found a great deal through a local company called H Cabinets of Scripps Ranch (located by SRHS). I wanted white sparkly quartz to match my white cabinets. I carefully selected the sample I wanted, showed Ryan when he came out to our house and after the install realized it was the wrong counter. It wasn't until they left and I had to spend the evening cleaning my whole house because of the dust and dirt everywhere and clean the counter that I realized it wasn't even close to what I wanted. Now I have an off-white, dull counter that doesn't match. All three slabs of it are different shades of ivory. To say this was a botched job is an understatement. However, what is most surprising is that the manager won't even discuss the issue with us. His name is Chen but we have never met him. He has his guy Ryan do all the talking and we have been told that there is nothing to discuss because the counter was installed already. We have asked them multiple times to make this right and give us the counter we wanted or our money back, no response. I've never experienced this before in my life! Please beware of this company, they will take your money and you'll never hear from them again! I feel like I got scammed. read more

I had this company install a house full of cabinets. One of my drawers fell off the slider. It wasn't broken but I could not get it to connect. I called and asked if someone could come look at it. First they insisted I give them an invoice number. I could not find it, second they asked for my phone number and told me they never did the work. Then I explained they did and sent out two guys to install the cabinets. They denied it and said they had other customers. I found the invoice, the drawing they made, and pictures I took. Went to the business showed them the proof and said I just need someone to come take a look. I was then told that the person who handled my order was not there and I would have to come back when they were there. BUT they did not k ow when the person was returning. I went to H Cabinet on a recommendation from a contractor, but I should have read the reviews here first. We are expanding our master bath to fit in a dual vanity. We came in and one of the "designers" used our measurements and their program to put together a cabinet configuration that fit our space. Great... then they point out the counter/sink combination that will fit what they designed. Based on that, we purchased cabinets, prefab counter with sink/faucet holes, and sinks for our project. As with most DIY home projects things are taking a little longer than expected, but now we're ready to put everything together. The cabinets aren't fabulous quality, but I understand you get what you pay for. They do go together fairly easily. We took the protective film off of the countertop to find that there was a fairly obvious chip on the front edge of the counter. That's disappointing, but at this point I just want it installed. Unfortunately, the sink holes in the prefab counter they sold us don't line up with our cabinet configuration at all. The countertop and sinks are useless to us because of a mistake in their design, but H Cabinet won't allow us to return them because of the chip that was probably already there to begin with (we wouldn't have known unless we'd have taken off the protective plastic film BEFORE taking the counter home with us). They won't even give us a credit to purchase a slab to start over. Their unacceptable recommendation is to do a hack job and cut away part of the top center drawer cabinet to allow the sinks to fit. I'm appalled at the lack of customer service in this situation that originated from their mistake. read more
