They didn't put the tile underneath the dishwasher and if you remove the kick plate you can clearly see they never even cleaned up underneath. Even though they had measurements of our over, there is an inch gap on one side between the countertop and the oven. Biggest issue is the countertops that we purchased through them. After 6 months, area around the kitchen sink area. We have been very careful about wiping down the area but yellowish water stains are definitely there.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after years of frustration with Prefab Granite Depot, I feel…read morecompelled to share my experience. I hired them to install a waterfall-style counter back in June 2021. Barely a year later, the waterfall cracked for no clear reason. They came out again in July 2022 to repair it, but the job was subpar. I noticed that between the waterfall backing and the side of the cabinet. It wasn't flush at all. Which I'm assuming that it allowed the water fall to slide inward more than 90 degrees, thus putting strain at the joint. But I am not a professional installer. It took them until August 22, 2022, to actually address this crack and I was assured the issue wouldn't happen again, however nothing was done to fill the gap with sub board to prevent inward movement of the granite. Unfortunately, it did again crack. A third crack appeared on April 22, 2023. I reached out multiple times via email and phone, only to be completely ignored. No callbacks, no emails, nothing from their receptionist or customer service team. Then, in May 2025 -- the worst-case scenario happened -- the waterfall slab literally fell off the counter. It nearly injured my child, grazing his arm as it collapsed. This wasn't just poor workmanship; it was dangerous. I've given them multiple chances over the years to make this right, but the lack of accountability and disregard for customer safety is unacceptable. I would never recommend this company to anyone if this is still their current practice and to avoid at all costs.

The job took a bit of time to complete because the installer only works half days, but I easily overlooked that because I cared more that the job was done right. After completion I realized the cabinet face frames were not covered in any laminate material. They were left bare leaving the wood exposed and prone to damage. When I finally got in contact with Lynn (first I messaged Tom and I believe Glen(?) with no response) she stated that face frames are considered a part of the interior cabinet which is not included in their refacing process and that the refacing only includes exterior surfaces. My question is, If this was not included in the process, then why remove the old face frame material, only to leave the wood bare. If refacing the frame was not included, then don't remove what is currently there, especially if the cabinets are being refaced the same color. Furthermore, the old face frames on those particular cabinets were still in good condition. This makes no sense to me and I simply cannot recommend this company with such lack of morality and care.

They are a nice family business, and they have seamless coordination between the designer, cabinet installer, and stone installer. You won't run into a situation where gaps are left between subcontractors. 2. There were no hidden fees or unreasonable change orders. The final price was exactly what was initially quoted. 3. We chose Dekton for the countertop, which is fabulous but also known to be harder to fabricate and install. Our countertop was so masterfully completed; the grain patterns all matched up and fit together perfectly. 4. Marlene, the cabinet designer, has vast knowledge of products on the market, which gives her the capability to create ideas for non-standard options. 5. Carlos and the cabinet installers, were so multi talented, they did custom carpentry work per customer's wish, and also electrical connections and drywall finish, all with good quality. 6. Celia, the schedule controller had clear communication for the timeline, no over promise, all realistic, no back and forth changes, which makes it easy for the customers to plan their schedule around the construction. Overall, I wanted to highly recommend SD Cabinets and Stone to potential customers.

We could tell he was highly knowledgeable and much more intent on making us happy rather than upselling us on unnecessary products. When instillation day came our installers, Miguel and Israel, were also very professional and highly knowledgeable and skilled. Rarely have I seen harder workers than these two! Their attention to detail--such as lining up the carpet pattern on the stairs and making sure the cut pattern on the risers were balanced--was impressive. He did just that. He even delivered a sample to my home so we could compare to the sample I had picked up elsewhere... and Floor Store and Design price was lower! What surprised me about working with Josh and Door Store and Design? I thought Josh was a salesman.. He was much more than that. He was hands on in working out details of installation. One example: I found a baseboard I liked at another place, and Josh was able to order that for me at same price as offerings at his store. He also made a personal visit at end of work to check details before I made the final payment. I also had new doors installed, and Josh coordinated work with the door contractor for smoothest completion of floors, doors and baseboards installation. It was important to me to work with a full service floor store to ensure best results. The installation team Josh sent was professional, efficient, and did a great job! Floor installer Jonathon and team were great ... always showing up on time, cleaning as they went, and were friendly and easy to have around. Most important.. they were perfectionists in their work. I learned that Jonathon had learned the trade from his father and is now working with/training his brothers. Josh's installers obviously take great pride in their work and Josh also takes great pride in managing Floor Store and Decor-Point Loma.

I reached these people from an ad on Facebook (which should've been my first clue) and was…read moresurprised they were willing to set up an appointment same day. They took my information (just name/address /phone) and said they would be here at 6:30p. They then sent a video using my name, date, and time on a white board (to show it was real, I guess? That made me highly suspicious of deep fakes, tho) to confirm my appt and let me know some details before they showed up. One of the details was the price. The lowest price mentioned was $12,000. Not to remodel the entire bathroom, but ONLY to replace the tub/surround. Also, the material they use is BP-Cor2, a composite polymer that contains 85% ABS plastic and 15% Acrylic. Google says this is actually a pretty safe, non-toxic material (so that's good), but the adhesive fumes are another story and it takes 24-48 hours for all that to be done. That sounded exorbitant. They do offer a lifetime warranty, but I may be selling my place within the year, so that really wasn't a factor in my decision. So I called to cancel, was put on hold, then hung up on twice. Not sure what that was about, so I texted back to the number that sent me the link and said to cancel my appointment, then I texted stop to unsubscribe. Got a call back almost immediately after that from the guy I originally talked to, who tried to change my mind. I would say it was a medium sell - not hard, but definitely he tried a few tactics before giving up. When he finally realized I was not going to relent, he said he canceled everything, which was great. About a week or two later, I received a call from them trying to sell me their service again. I pointed out that I had unsubscribed from everything and was not going to follow through with the appointment. They called yet again another week later, trying to sell me the same crap. At this point, there is no way they could've convinced me to change my mind. I do not work with people who do not listen when you cancel something. Beware of giving them your information.

This is why she's the first person you see when you come into the showroom. Yan helped us navigate the different types of countertops and worked within our budget. We were new to working without a project manager and she helped us understand countertops and basic design. Installation went just ok. Juan was late all the time. However, he was very reasonable when we pointed out some changes that needed to be made. If anything needed to be fixed, he fixed it. We did not like that they cut on the site (our house) and dust blew everywhere. The installation took more days than what we were told. Honestly, I think they're slammed with installing 2 jobs a day. The major dings to this review are cutting quartz (silica) on site and working with Liz Flores while Yan was out of the office. That experience was horrible. If anything, that was our one regret. I would've pushed the job out until Yan returned to the office. The rolling eyes, the cold personality, the texting and passing the phone while the customer is talking to the salesperson, it was all rude and unprofessional. I would emphasize and double check that they fabricate and make the cuts at the shop. They didn't know what to say when I said that the crew cut the quartz on site. Lesson learned. Work with a PM.

I had to look slab by slab, other companies were able to easily filter by this. I brought multiple different slab numbers to them to ask about and all of them were already reserved for other people. That was also time consuming versus them having a better way to identify products already on hold.
