This was much appreciated after dealing with the headache of a recent car accident. Unlike many used car lots, H.D.'s had a laid back approach when interacting with us. Owen was helpful and informative but gave us space to check out the vehicle and come to a decision. My dad and I decided on a 2010 Mazda 3i Touring. I'm excited and happy for this car as I've wanted a Mazda 3 since high school. The car was priced below the CarFax suggestion and has only a few minor things to fix (key fob battery, possibly changing tires) which is to be expected when purchasing a used vehicle. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!!! If I could give them a negative star i would! I bought an suv from here 3 months ago, due to being in a car accident and my car being totaled. Test drove the car it ran fine. 3 days later my check engine light came on. I reached out to Owen and asked for a carfax, he asked if there was an issue with car. I told him my engine light was on. He sent the carfax and it showed regular maintenance and no accidents. Owen then stopped all communication with me. Took my car in and was told engine light had been cleared to sale the car. I ended having to pay over $250 for a part. Fast forward to 2.5 months and I need a new transmission! I reached out to Owen once again asking him to be a decent human and to stand by the cars he sales and rectify this situation. No response. The car has 80,000 miles on it no reason a transmission should have to be replaced. I now have to spend $7000 for a transmission on a car I've had for 3 months! This is such BS. HORRIBLE dealership! They are selling pos cars and not caring about how that effects the buyer. DO NOT BUY HERE. Don't even consider looking at a car here unless you want a junk car that will cost more in repairs than what it's worth. I wish I could give leave a glowing review because the staff was so amazing and accommodating but I just cannot. We purchased a 2014 Jeep and immediately we found old moldy air fresheners, moldy seatbelts and a broken drivers seat. Silicone was stuffed into the seat to prop it up right. No big deal and nothing a good cleaning couldn't solve so let it go... Now not even two months after purchasing, less than 1,000 miles driven, and the Jeep is broken down in the shop. My parents recently bought a truck from this dealership after their previous car was totalled in an accident. Considering the stress of the ordeal, it is with absolute gratitude that I write how wonderful this dealership has treated my father. He's had his new truck for a short time and today the permanent plates were reported as ready, so my dad came to pick them up. He arrived to find that the dealership had seen a math error and refunded my father about $70+. My parents were not aware of the error and this shows just how honest this dealership is. I bought a vehicle (aka project) that cost me a nice "5 digits" I was assured via email that the only thing wrong was a simple $40ish dollar part or a frayed wire. It was on in my opinion an option I could live without, no biggie. So I went to their lot to see I didn't get a good deal, just a reasonable one. I figured that to be ok since I finally found what I was looking for and it appeared to be cared for. It died 2 days later after bringing it home, had to buy a $125 battery. (Nope nothing was left on, it was just well past the battery's expiration I discovered.) I took the vehicle in to a shop 9 days later (due for a maintenance check) only to find it needed about $1,600 to be fixed just so it could be safely driven! WOW! That is not from a shop that makes stuff up, the vehicle was truly in desperate need. Luckily I did not end up stranded with broken suspension parts or entirely lost my brakes and hurt someone. There was no point in mentioning this new large issue, they will say it is my problem, I'm positive of that. Until I can come up with enough money I have a shiny lawn ornament, and an extra insurance payment because I have to keep my old car just to have something to get to work with. The salesman said they pick the best autos for their lot, must be on exterior looks alone. I prefer to support small businesses but this experience will send me to an actual dealership next time, they would be held more accountable for something this bad. HD's Auto Sales, Puyallup, WA Be forewarned; I recently purchase a used car from H.D.'s Auto Sales and I am not a happy customer. When I purchase the used car, the check engine light was not on. By the time I drove the car home, the Check Engine Light had come on. I was somewhat suspicious of the Check Engine Light coming on so soon, after purchasing the car, but the salesman seemed honest, so I wrote it off to coincidence. But not for long... I took the car to Auburn Volkswagen to have the oil changed and have the Check Engine Light checked out and that is when I learned that the used car I had purchased was not what it was represented to be. Auburn Volkswagen told me that there were 3 separate causes for the Check Engine Light being on; (1) a faulty engine temperature sensor; (2) a dirty throttle body; (3) a defective Catalytic Converter. Auburn Volkswagen told me that they found the Catalytic Converter to be completely hollow and empty inside and it was completely missing any and all of the original Catalyst. Based on this finding, they told me that there is no way that the Check Engine Light had just recently come on. With the Catalytic Converter being completely void of all active internal material, the Check Engine Light would have had to have been on for many many miles. So, where it is remotely possible that cause (1) and (2), may have just occurred (I doubt it), there is no way that cause (3) just occurred. I personally believe that the Check Engine Light was reset (turned off), in an attempt to hide the underlying problems and increase the apparent value of the car. You can draw your own conclusions. The Check Engine Light related repairs cost me approximately $2000, $1400+ just for the new Catalytic Converter. I highly recommend that no matter how honest the salesman may appear, be aware that Check Engine Lights can be reset, without actually fixing the problem and the light will stay off for a short period of time, possibly long enough to sell you the car and maybe a few days longer. You can be sure that I will not be buying any more cars from HD Auto Sales. read more

I recently purchased a 2008 Ford F350 from HD's Auto Sales. I was very hesitant to trade in my 2006 Dodge Ram, but they offered me a very generous amount for the trade in when I thought it was worth much less. As soon as we bought it, the next day I noticed it had a leak coming from the power steering pump hose. I took it back and the owner (Dan) immediately said he would get it repaired at no cost to us. He even gave me my old truck back as a loaner until it was fixed. I work long hours and would not have been able to pick it up after it was fixed until the weekend. Again, Dan went above and beyond to accommodate me and met me after hours so I could pick up my truck. I don't feel like I would have gotten this treatment elsewhere. I felt he really cared about us as customers and gave us a very good deal on a pretty awesome truck. ***I just wanted to give an update to all potential buyers. It has been 3 months since I bought my truck, and while the experience and the staff at HD's was fantastic, I am no longer believing that we got an awesome truck. While the price was DEFINITELY right, I have to wonder if it is because of all the problems this truck has given us. Almost immediately after I purchased it, several things have needed to be replaced, but the most upsetting and most costly is that the truck has a bad DPF. As soon as I tried to tow something with this truck, it immediately coded with reduced engine power and has yet to not code that any time it is driven. So unfortunately, it is now parked for the winter until I can afford this costly fix. I sometimes contemplate just trading it in on a brand new truck, but again, they gave me such an awesome deal on this truck so I am torn. Now I am not saying they knowingly sold me this truck with the transmission problem, but I am not saying they didn't either. Overall, just very disappointed in what has happened with the truck. ***Final update! It has now been 6 months since I bought the Ford F350 and it has turned out to be nothing but problem after problem after problem. I can't imagine that these guys didn't know about all the problems this truck had when they sold it to me. Finally threw in the towel yesterday and got a brand new truck. I had been out car shopping the last few days and had become exhausted from not finding a vehicle that was a good fit for me and I had grown tired of looking. I ended up swinging by H.D.'s Auto and I can say that the experience was nothing but the best. When I arrived, I assumed that I would get bombarded by an aggressive salesman that would try to sale me anything, but that was not the case. I was greeted by a nice, pleasant young man who welcomed me to the dealership. He told me to feel free to take a look and if I had any questions, that he would check on me after allowing some time and privacy to scout out the dealership. It was incredibly relieving to look around the lot without having a salesman at my side trying to sale me something. I had the freedom to take any vehicle I wanted for a test drive without the salesman going with me! I ended up buying a car that was the perfect fit for me and I have to say, that this was the most relaxed environment when it comes to buying a vehicle. Recently purchased a car from this dealership , a 2011 Nissan Versa . When I first walked in the staff was very nice and welcoming . As for the car everything seemed to be running smoothly when I got it but on that exact day , when I arrived to work to pick up my check as I was leaving the car did not want to start what so ever . The first thing I thought was it was my fault since it did look a bit low on gas. I managed to have my manager help me out and put gas in my car then immediately called Owen . He seemed surprised that the car was acting up . He told me if I could drop it off at the dealer and he would have one of his mechanics take a look at it . Turns out there was something wrong with the gas pump . He then offered to fix it at no charge, I was super grateful. About 4 days later I got my car back . It was working perfectly fine until 1 week later the engine light came on. I didn't really bother to pay attention to it I thought perhaps it was just a minor problem like an oil change , I couldn't imagine something already being wrong after I just got the car back & Owen said he fixed the issue.The next day after the engine light came on the car did not want to start at times , it didn't want to go faster then 30mph, I almost got into a car accident because of this. I called Owen once again and he said he can no longer do anything about it since he already invested "too much money into the car ". All I'm thinking is , he wouldn't have to if he made sure before hand that his cars were properly checked out & everything was running smoothly. And let me just put out there that I am 19 years old , working 2 sometimes 3 jobs to Pay for college and help my mom out with bills . Before the Nissan I invested into a 2006 mustang but it was just too much to pay . Coming into hds autos Owen told me the Nissan would save me a lot of money, it was great on saving gas and low on miles . All that car has done for me was give me tons of problems. I'm in debt now with a 10,000 dollar car that's seriously just sitting in my front yard since I can no longer drive it . I already invested about 300 dollars into it since it badly needed new spark plugs and oil change . I'm not going to keep putting money into this car . I'm beyond irritated at this point . If anything I would have saved more with my previous mustang . So as of right now , the check engine light is on, I cannot drive it in the freeway or anywhere where it's 40mph or more, then it'll start to smell like gas and just go 30mph , it turns off on me out of nowhere when I'm driving , the brakes make a horrific noise , the cars motor shakes like crazy when it's just on break , and the gas is leaking . I'm trying to get enough money to get an attorney so I can get out of this crisis at the moment . But never ever again will I get a car from hds autos. Seriously living hell. read more
