I just loooove hanging out here! When I was a kid in SoCal, my parents used to take us to San Pedro fish market where we'd pack some rice, claim a picnic table, lay out some newspaper for a tablecloth, order up a shrimp tray & some fried fish (pride peeesh), and listen to the mariachi band. He'eia Pier reminds me those days, except it's waaaaay nicer scenery and plate lunch served up with aloha all day. Their loco moco gravy is GOLD. Beef stew ALWAYS sells out...I have yet to try it. Burger patties are handformed. They have music events! Last December, Kealoha Music performed a Christmas set...couldn't think of a better way to spend a December (or any month) evening...by the water, listening to great music, eating comfort food.

They aren't open everyday and you should follow their Instagram to see the menu for the day. They finish serving lunch at 12:30. I ordered the ahi sandwich combo. It was $2 more for fries and no tax! The seared ahi burger was deliciously seasoned and so were their fries! I ate every single fry. It was crunchy, salty, and paired perfect with the ahi burger. I definitely would come back for another ahi burger!!!

A place to hang out & enjoy the nice ocean breeze & check out the fishermen fishing on the pier. The general store has great customer service by the gal behind the register. Beer cold in the cooler. They serve plate lunches & their soft serve cones are great on a warm day. They have other goods they sell, original Heeia Pier T shirts & trinkets! Restrooms outside & steps away, a place to relax & get away from your everyday thoughts!

We went cycling up the Windward coast with our good friends and He'eia Pier General Store called out to us, so of course we made a stop there. Great food, great service, great location! Hoping to get back soon!

Stumbled up this little store and was surprised that they sell lunches too! I got the soft serve pineapple flavor $6. They also had watermelon or vanilla flavors. Definitely will come try their lunch plate next time!

Big appetites are satisfied here!!! You go into the store thinking of picking up something small like an ice cream or a musubi but once you see their menu, you wont be wanting just a snack. they got some of the most delicious and comforting plate lunches you'll ever eat!!! I got the roast pork plate lunch that comes smothered in gravy on a bed of cabbage. Most plates come with your standard scoop of rice and mac salad. Also save some space for a cup of dole whip (they got different flavors!!!) or the crispy hurricane fries!

By the water. Everything I've had here is tasty and on point. Consistent and hits the taste buds hard. My kind of place. Big aloha

Our Sunday cruise led us to Kaneohe and we were starving but wanted to try something different. Yelp led us to the He'eia Pier General Store! The sweetest worker took our order and we chatted about our day as we waited. The shop offers candies, chips, drinks, as well as bentos, burgers, and plate lunches. I had a cheese burger and hurricane fries and my husband got a hamburger steak plate. The kids chose hot dogs and fries. For the price and view, it's definitely an amazing deal and delicious food! The hurricane fries were the best! Definitely a good spice to it! Will definitely be back when we're in the area! :)

Comfort food in Kaneohe, Oahu, Hawaii... Established in August 2020 and opened in October 2020... In the midst of a pandemic... Is that bravery or what? Today, my neighbor texted me and said she was hungry and bored. She asked me if I was home and if I had any lunch plans. Me: Yes; no; and how about He'eia Pier General Store & Deli? We both googled it and watched the April 2021 KHON2 newsclip online where Chris' daughter was interviewed about this reopened business at the He'eia Kea Small Boat Harbor at Kaneohe Bay. Knowing that they'd close at 2pm, my neighbor said she'd pick me up in five minutes. Shoots! Chris, one of the two owners, was quite friendly when I started asking questions about the new He'eia Pier General Store & Deli. He and his partner recently signed the lease for this popular spot and took a gamble - which turned out to be successful! The fare at the Deli is bentos and plate lunches - which are served at memorial services and drive-by graduation events - how appropriate and convenient! He'eia Pier General Store has been turned over several times. This time, the renovation looks very organized, clean, and well stocked! There were flip flops, sunglasses, fishing poles, lures, scoop nets, snacks, refrigerated beverages, face masks, snorkel equipment, etc. My neighbor and I just wanted some good food. I couldn't decide on what to order, so Chris suggested a Combination plate - yay! I got the beef luau, hamburger steak, and mochiko chicken. Wow! I was pleasantly surprised by the mochiko chicken. I usually don't like chicken. This one was good because it had a slightly crisp char on the skin, was flavored well, and was BONELESS!!! I also recommend the hamburger steak - the patty was high quality (no gristle), homemade, tender, and tasty! Oh - and I had a side of fresh poke. I think I detected a tad bit of sesame seed oil... Mmm... And some shoyu and sweet onions - classic! And the Mac salad had some tuna in it... Yummy! Next time, instead of taking my meal home, I might just enjoy my comfort food along the pier while breathing the cool air, watching the kayakers, and listening to the waves on the shore... ahhh!!! Lucky we live Hawaii! Good luck to this new business! Wishing you continued success and prosperity!

It's in the food court adjacent to Target. I got the two combo plate with rice $20.30. You can pick two entrees from: laulau, beef luau, chicken long rice, kalo luau, kalua pig or squid luau. I got the laulau and squid luau. The plate also comes with lomi salmon and haupia. For dessert I also got the single scoop of Sweet Lady of Waiahole $8.40. It's warm kulolo with haupia ice cream. The Hawaiian food from this place is delicious. It's to be expected, since the original location has been around since 2009. I loved everything on my plate except the squid luau. Usually, squid luau is my favorite. However, they don't make their squid luau sweet. I like mine sweet. I just took it home and added brown sugar. It was perfect after that. Their Sweet Lady of Waiahole is a must try. The warm kulolo is so good with the haupia ice cream. Get this!!!!!

I was craving me some Legit Hawaiian Food because on Maui, there is no…read morerestaurant anymore that offers it because the only one we had (Shout out to Poi By The Pound) closed during Covid. My Kaneohe friends brought me to Windward Mall to try Waiahole Poi Factory and IT...HIT...THE...SPOT (so much that I wrote that in all CAPS for emphasis lol). I got a refreshing Sweetened Mamaki Tea and a Combo Plate which included 2 entree's so I got Laulau (perfect amount of luau leaves to fatty pork) and comforting Chicken Long Rice. You have the choice of Poi or Rice but I got both because I'm a local girl lol. My friends told me at the OG location, the poi is fresh but what we got still tasted super good to me even though it may have been refrigerated. I got to try the Squid Luau too from my friends and it was DELICIOUS. I mean perfect amount of coconut milk to taro leaves with tender squid! If I lived here, I'd be getting Hawaiian food at least once a month lol! To end this onolicious foodie trip, my friends suggested the Sweet Lady of Waiahole (which they got) but I'm not a huge fan of Kulolo so I got the Tahitian Sweet Lady because I love Banana and it was the perfect way to melt and linger in my palate. It was Warm Banana Bread with the BEST Haupia Ice Cream. Yum yum! I'm getting withdrawals just writing this review. ***NOTE TO VISITORS: Stop eating American food you can get at home and please go get yourself some legit Hawaiian food to try when you visit so you can fully say you experienced what Hawai'i has to offer! I also would say that the price for food is a little pricier for my liking for the taste. The food isn't exotic, but it did taste good and their bread and guava butter were my favorite part of my restaurant experience! If it wasn't for the service, I would've given the restaurant a 3/5. Despite the long line/wait, the staff was actually really interactive and proactive with the parties they were serving, which we really appreciated! I didn't feel like we were waited long to get our food, eat, and get our check at the end, which was so perfect. It was a great first time at Haleiwa Joe's, but I'm not sure if it'll be a repeat for me! If you're in and want an amazing view for dinner though, this is great!
