    Dessert!

The service was standout, I feel bad that I do not remember her name as she went above and beyond in her service. We went for dinner after Kualoa Ranch, on our way back to Honolulu. They do have a large parking lot. They don't do reservations. But this is less of a problem here then other places. We were not lucky with the weather, if it was good, the ground are beautiful gardens. They do have one of the best waiting areas I've ever seen, as well as a bar area, to wait in, so you are not hovering over others as they eat. You can also order drinks and apps in the area. Their mango margarita was standout, "it tastes just like a mango!" The restaurant appears to be arranged so that most tables have some of a view of their open patio. Even with the rain, it was lovely, and they lit touches as it grew dark. The menu is the right size, I think a more focused menu lends to better food. We had difficulty deciding as everything sounded great. We started with their poke, very good, and nicely presented. I had the grilled fish, which was great, and my friends had two very different steaks. One got the prime rib, and it was on theme for our dinosaur tour at the ranch. It arrived as big as her head, all three of us could have enjoyed it. Great experience and I hope to return without the side of rain.

Dessert: Nice way to complete the evening & meal!

Update: Love going to eat & visit at Haleiwa Joe's. Service is always great & the views are beautiful& the food is so delicious. This Sunday evening we got in line @ 3:15 pm & made the first seating, parking was easy. Mike our server was on his game, so professional& pleasant. Prime rib was huge & so delicious, dessert was a great closer. A wonderful dinner. Can't wait to go again!

This restaurant is 100% EVERYTHING it is hyped up to be. The exquisite views, delicious food, amazing craft cocktails and superb service. We arrived approximately one hour prior to opening as they do not take reservations. We were first in line, many followed within 30 minutes. Come hungry, it's a significant amount of food. ~ what we ordered: ** Prime Rib- almost 3lbs of meat. Juicy and delicious. **Grilled fish of the day- today was a striped marlin....bursting with flavor! ** Crispy Brussel Sprouts- best I have ever had! Must order! ** Escargot in pesto with a Parmesan crust, served with warm fresh bread. From the amazing views (come early to get a balcony seat) to the flavorful food, and superb service.... This is it! This is all the feels of the Hawaiian Island.

    Ambiance

Service was great! Our server was professional in memorizing the menu, punctual in refilling our water and all around happy to be serving us. This is NOT my first time, but it was mh first time in a while and the Prime Rib was definitely just as good as I remember if not better! Even their Brussels sprouts appetizer was really good! Their mocktails are okay... it's simple and tastes exactly how you'd expect it to taste. Which could be good and bad. Good because you got what you asked for, but bad because it's not exciting! One and done for any mock tails I'd say! Finally, for dessert we had a lilikoi crème brûlée and it was delicious! Not too sweet, it was the perfect choice to end the night. A nice cool dessert on a hot day! The view is beautiful as usual and everyone in matching prints always adds a nice touch to the ambiance of the restaurant. Would recommend to those coming to Hawaii and even those that live here that haven't tried it! We'll be back for sure!

I had a wonderful experience here! I came here with my work colleagues for dinner. This was my first time here and the scenery was breathe taking. Since it is graduation time and this place is always hopping, we had a little bit if a wait giving us the opportunity to explore the grounds. When our table was ready, the staff was friendly and boy what a view we had! I have some unique food allergies and our server, Collin went over and beyond to ensure that I was able to eat with my party and keeping my safety as the top priority. He and the kitchen staff did a wonderful job. I ended up with the Spinach salad with chicken breast for dinner. It was delicious! I highly recommend you come here to eat when in the area.

I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who finds themselves in Haleiwa on the island of Oaho. Be forewarned, they do not take reservations. The view is unmatched. The food is fantastic, as is the service. The drink prices are reasonable and the cocktails are creatively crafted. The food menu selections are excellent and as with the drinks, reasonably priced. It is not easy to get to from Waikiki, but well worth the trip.

(If I could give 10 stars -- I would!!!) This place has one of the most breathtaking restaurant views we've ever experienced in our lives! From the moment you arrive, the scenery absolutely wows you -- it's picturesque in every direction and perfect for a special meal in Oahu. We loved that you can be seated with a sweeping view of the lush valley, and there's even a lovely walk down the hill while you wait. You can explore the garden paths, check out the koi pond, and enjoy the relaxing botanical garden atmosphere -- such an unexpected and beautiful bonus to the dining experience. The food was delicious! We ordered: * The prime rib -- juicy, flavorful, and cooked beautifully. * A poke-style salad -- fresh and satisfying. * Ube cheesecake for dessert -- rich, creamy, and unforgettable. Everything was amazing, and we seriously can't wait to come back! The portions were generous and hit that perfect balance between casual and special -- it feels like a treat without being pretentious. Based on general reviews and menus, most entrees and main dishes are in the $25-$40 range per person, with items like prime rib and seafood plates around that price point. Hours: The restaurant generally opens in the late afternoon to evening, with typical hours around 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM daily (times can vary by season). Price Range: Expect about $30-$50 per person for dinner after drinks and appetizers. Tips: * Arrive early if you want a prime table with the best views -- this spot fills up fast! * They don't take reservations, but the wait area and garden trails make the time fly by. Whether it's a romantic dinner, special trip meal, or just a truly unforgettable place to eat in Oahu, this is a must-visit. We'll 100% be back!

    Steak Fries, Prime Rib

Haleiwa Joe's has the best prime rib on the island! I ordered prime rib, steak fries, paradise pie, burnt caramel macadamia, house salad, spinach salad, and edamame. Ratings: -Prime Rib: 15/10 -Steak Fries: 9/10 -Paradise Pie: 20/10 -Burnt Caramel Macadamia: 10/10 -House Salad: 7/10 -Edamame: 7.5/10 The service is always great here. Our drinks were constantly refilled and topped off, and we were consistently checked on throughout the night. Although the wait was long, I love that we were able to go to the pupu area and order some things while we waited. The view is also so great, specifically at this location of haleiwa joes. The haiku garden is so pretty, and the sights like the mountains and the gazebo in the water are breathtaking. There's a lot to look at while you wait. As for the food, everything is consistently ono, but especially the prime rib! The prime rib is cooked to perfection every time, and the au jus compliments it so well. The mashed potatoes are also great, and have good seasoning. the steak fries were nice and crispy and went well with the prime rib. the appetizers were overall good. However, I docked a couple points because there was nothing really special about them. The flavor of the salad dressing was good, and same for the edamame, but nothing with a wow factor. The vibe of this place was calming and very laid back. eating with a view was very nice! I highly recommend visiting Haleiwa Joe's, but especially this location!

Great food, was not too expensive either. The entrees are a little more but they are also well portioned. Awesome view, and right next to a nice town and great beaches. I got the half ceaser salad and garlic aoili potato wedges, so delicious. The coconut fried shrimp appetizer was pretty good as well.

What a gem! We had the best dinner I've had in a very long time here. Everything from the service to the ambiance was top notch. I highly recommend you visit if you're planning on going to the temple nearby. This place is a tropical treat with delicious entrees to choose from. I loved the passion fruit crème brûlée! It was the highlight of my meal... perfectly sweet and tart. Note: they don't take reservations so, you need to arrive 30 minutes before they open to get a table. The area can definitely be humid so keep that in mind.

Haleiwa Joe's came highly recommended for their prime rib and they didn't disappoint. The prime rib was really expensive ($74.95), but it could've fed four people! I shared it with my dinner companion and we have enough for at least two more meals. It was very tender; in fact, for part of it, my friend cut it with her fork! We were sharing, but the area from which I took my piece wasn't quite as tender... I had to use my knife. There was a large hunk of fat attached to our prime rib, but I just cut the lean part away from it. It was served with green beans and mashed potatoes. I wish there were more green beans and the potatoes were creamier, but both were still good. I think they used red potatoes and included some of the skin; it was on the drier, chunkier side and I prefer my mashed potatoes smooth and creamy. The meat was definitely the main focus on that plate! The waitress was really sweet and friendly. She packed up the left over prime rib along with two small containers of au jus and a container of horseradish. It'll be great for our meal at home. We got there at 3:50 and the line was already about 20 to 25 deep, but we were able to get seated because we didn't require any special seats. It's a beautiful setting overlooking the plants and a pond and toward mountains. Definitely a place to which I'd return! My friend also ordered a bowl of their chowder. She liked it, but I tasted it and thought it was a bit on the salty side.

Honestly, the food was not good and I'm genuinely sad I spent the time and money here. I wouldn't recommend it. Service was okay! We did a walk-in and the wait was a little over an hour, which sucked, but it wasn't as bad since we sat in the lounge area, ordered apps, and our server there was super nice and attentive. Once we got seated, our server was kind, just a bit quiet/reserved. Only got talkative when he as trying to upsell the dessert. The food though... very mid. I asked for medium rare and got a steak that was clearly undercooked--cold in the center and no flavor at all. We had waited so long I figured I'd just take it back to my room and cook it more myself. I literally had to dip it into my husband's chicken plate sauce just to get some taste. For apps, we got the spicy poke, ceviche, and garlic bread. The "spicy" poke wasn't spicy, and the ceviche had basically no flavor. Garlic bread was okay, and the house bread was warm and soft, but everything else just felt really underwhelming. I didn't even wanna bother order dessert because I couldn't take being disappointed again. Nothing was nasty, just no flavor AT ALL and nothing stood out. You're mostly paying for the view. It's cute, but unless you make a reservation and go just for that, I'd save your time and money. Don't be like me and spend almost 200$ for food with no flavor.

Haleiwa Joe's At Haiku Prime rib and sizzling mushrooms were absolutely amazing. The prime rib was perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor, and the sizzling mushrooms were rich, buttery, and addictive. Even with cloudy weather, the atmosphere was beautiful and cozy--almost better with the misty, jungle-like vibe. We put our name on the waitlist, took a walk around, snapped some photos, and the waiting time flew by. The whole experience felt relaxed and fun. One tip: mosquitoes are real here, so definitely wear long pants and long sleeves. Great food, great ambiance, and totally worth the wait. Would 100% come back

Absolutely blown away…read more This place was recommended to my partner and I by multiple people so we put in the reservation. Upon arrival, we were asked for a password (which he could not find in his emails hot fortunately they gave us grace lol) then let in. The place was simply lit and each table had a literal gas lamp lighting the space. On the second floor there was a man playing the sax. It was SO gorgeous, Our waitress was great, we were easily influenced by all her suggestions and ended up getting a great meal. We started with drinks. My partner didn't hear her say that the bottom of the menu was "spirit forward" and ordered a VERY strong drink. It actually made for a very giggly and eventful dinner so it was a very happy mistake lol. I got the espresso martini. It was a little creamier than I expected but still tasted really good! I'd order again. Our first appetizer was the Wagyu carpaccio- topped with cilantro (the menu said dill but I saw/ tasted none), fried capers, and caviar. It was surprisingly light and refreshing, basically a meat salad. A beautiful start to our meal. Our second (yes, second) appetizer was the escargot and bone marrow. This was our personal star of the show. A complete 180 to the carpaccio. This was rich, heavy, and decadent. The tomato added a nice balance of acidity to counteract the fatty bone marrow. The escargot was cooked perfectly, no chew but soft and buttery. One of the best bites of my life. The salad it came with was just we needed with it. After this, there was quite a wait until our main entree. A fire dancer came, and danced on the bar counter. I'd say we waited a good 20 minutes until it came out. But we were only impatient because we had plans after dinner. Our main course, which we shared, was the King Arthur- beef Wellington with a side of crab legs. The crab did come out during our appetizers which I appreciated. I only ordered this because I never had beef Wellington before and really wanted to try it LOL, my partner said it was better than the one at hella kitchen! The waitress also talked us into ordering a side of Mac and cheese, and thank GOD she did. It came out piping hot and saucy. There was a slight note of truffle, but it wasn't overpowering, and a nice crust of cheese and breadcrumbs on top. Everything was delicious and generously portioned. You definitely get a bang for your buck. It's a hefty buck but it's so worth it.

It could have been a 5 stars experience if one of our servers didn't seem to rush things to clear up the tables.
