My husband and I have friends in Watsonville we've never met in person. We love the people at Head N' Home (especially Ori). And if we find ourselves in CA, be sure we'll go there so we can deliver big bear hugs to them! My husband loves to wear their hats and looks great in them. I wanted to have that experience too. I wasn't a hat person until I got one of their hats. Soon after - actually the following week after the first purchase and a week after that - I ordered more! I ordered my first hat to protect my head from the sun while letting the wind blow through. I used to buy the one-size-fits-all big box store hats for gardening until it dawned on me that I should have a good hat, in my size, to wear proudly. So we shopped online and each ordered a hat. They shipped within days. When our cameras alerted us to the delivery, we actually returned home from shopping so we could open the box and wear the hats! I was really excited when I tried on the hat. It felt so comfortable - I wondered if the hat would feel like a prop but it didn't - it felt like a part of me right away. I was excited at how well it fit and looked. I wore it while we ran errands and went to dinner. I loved that I could feel the breeze and that my head stayed cool. I loved the dark color of the underside of the hat brim. I ordered a hat band that complimented the darker color and really brought the look together. That first day of wearing my hat, people gushed. It was really funny - the guy at the post office told us that his wife wants him to retire baseball caps and get "a real hat"! The car wash manager fell in love with the Steampunk hats we showed her on our phones. And the clerk at a sporting goods store recognized the hat quality immediately and said she wanted one too. All three of them jotted down the website and a sale code that we received. Even though I wear a smaller size hat, I started trying on my husband's hats to get a sense of what I liked. I fell in LOVE with the Bromley hat and ordered it. And the mesh sun hat. And I wanted another crushable Half Moon hat in leather (a special order). I like the smaller brimmed hats because they shade my eyes while giving me a tailored look. And crushable hats mean they're easy to pack, stuff in a bag, etc. These hats are meant to be used and stand up to sun, rain (except for suede), etc. The people who work here are really nice - they emailed me and were available for telephonic inquiry about a custom hat. They care about our experience and are excited that we're excited. I went from never wearing hats to wearing a hat whenever I go out. I love how I feel in the hats and how the world receives me. I honestly didn't realize I'd have a remarkable experience - just by wearing their hats! read more

I have been a customer of heading home hats for a number of years. I've never had a problem with their repair policy until recently. I bought a purse there a number of years ago and it became started to unstitch and I just called them to see if I could send it back to be stitched. They wanted me to jump through all these hoops and it would cost me more to send it back to them and then return it to me and I'd have to pay for everything that I just. I live in Reno NV. First weekend of August we have Hot August Nights. Its a classic car show that is popular enough to draw cars from all over the country. Talking to people in their 50s and younger, one of their favorite parts about the event is how unique cars were. They all had attitude and style. None looked the same. They stood out. That is about the best analogy I can think of when it comes to these hats. American made, and the highest of quality. The even offer a lifetime warranty on the products. Of course I have never had to use the warranty all of my hats from them still look nearly new. I say hats because I have over 30. I wear one of their hats every time I go out. And without fail I get at least one compliment or request of where to get one. These hats will make you stand out. If you are consistently wearing the same costume for Halloween, wanting something fun for Burning Man, looking for the perfect Steampunk Hat, or some other event one of these hats will make your outfit shine from the rest. Keep in mind some of the stock rotates quickly, and it isnt always broadcast when they are going to discontinue a hat. Its something I love and hate. Its great having a "Limited Edition" hat (whether intentional or not). But sometimes you see a hat that someone bought from them and you wish it was still available. Whether you want function, fashion, or both they will have something that suits your tastes and needs. From traditional to over the top artistic hats this is the place. The journey to Head N' Home started in a hat shop in Carmel, Ca where I saw a great Indiana Jones style hat. The clerk said that hat came from a local company in Watsonville near the airport. Being one to follow bunny trails the adventure was on. Heading north down highway 1 to Watsonville to find where these great over the top hats are made and having the attention span of one dog in the movie "Up" (Squirrel!). I decided to make a U-turn in the parking lot of Head N' Home to look at helicopters in the airport across the street from the company show room. Luckily for me the voice in the passenger seat reminded me of the adventure we were on before I ran down a different bunny trail. The show room would have made the Mad Hatter of Alice in Wonderland jealous with envy. A top hat with glasses and a clock on the side, I could hear the White Rabbit yelling "I'm late, I'm late for a very important date", wearing the hat with Alice is chasing him. I picked up the hat and stared at it, thinking to myself. I can I build a wardrobe around this hat? My first thought was yes. Yes I can. My next thought was, Burning Man, this hat would be great for burning man. My Super-Ego took over yelling as loud as possible, do you really need this top hat with a clock and glasses on it?! My ID was screaming YES! I think my ego checkout for a moment, must have been chasing the White Rabbit down the bunny trail. Someplace between Burning Man and Alice in Wonderland I found myself with a Crusher hat, which looked closest to the Indiana Jones hat that started this entire journey. I think I bought my first Head N Home in around 1994, at a Capitola Art and Wine Festival stand. I'd never been a big hat wearer, and certainly not a baseball cap wearer, but I sure did wear the heck out of this one. It was called a "Deer Hat." A flat brim. A lot like what I recall Clint Eastwood wearing in his early films. Fast forward. Over many years I've bought many more hats from them. Mostly Western/Aussie styles. The latest is an Aussie-style "Bison." (Bison is often tanned in a way to preserve its pebbly nature. I have a fantastic Orville coat in bison, circa the ear; 2000s, and some nice LL Bean bison shoes and belts.) I think this Aussie-style "Bison" hat will be my regular. I live about 5 miles from the main factory/store, so I bopped in today to see the new "Bison." A few hiccups in delivery of some hatband materials, so I'll stop in a few weeks from now to get the hat bad put in.
