Well 3 days later 3 of my daughter's nails break off. She calls and they tell her to come in for a free repair. Well shee came back in and once of the nail ladies was in the middle of fat shaming a female customer, she told this lady she was too fat to sit in the recliner and recline. Subsequently the poor lady left and my daughter was left mortified. After they fixed my daughter's nails they ended up charging her for the repair. In my opinion I will not be back. Decided to try this place out and after 3 different occasions, my opinion remains the same..... this place sucks! The customer service is subpar. The execution I exhibited is sloppy and their attention to detail leaves much to be desired. I went for dip and gel pedicure all three times. For the most part my pedicure services were good. But each time I've gone for dip I've been disappointed. The shape, the thickness, the overall quality has been off. There's a guy there that seems pretty good but he's always booked. I talked to the guy before we started the cut and told him the last hairdresser cut my hair in a bob shorter than I wanted and she didn't take off weight so it was bottom heavy. I gave myself an undercut to fix this but the line for the undercut wasn't completely straight. So I wanted him to straighten the line since it's in the back of my head and feel free to take off some length to even things out --He didn't look too confident so I told him upfront if he can't do it that's totally okay I'll find another place no hard feelings. The guy kept telling me how he "understands" textured hair so he can dry cut and give me some layers to take off weight. He literally didn't section any hair and randomly went in chopped a few layers which did NOT blend in. My left side was way longer than my right and I had to point that out to him cuz he was ready for his next customer. I could've let all of that go BUT I specifically asked for the undercut to be straightened and he managed to not even deliver on that because he was in such a rush to get to the next customer, a lady whose nails he had messed up and she was back to fix it, he didn't show me the back of my head with mirror or I would've asked him to fix it. I came here last night to get gel tips because I'm going on vacation. Before I explain why I'm only giving Head 2 Toe three stars, I want to start off by saying the service is five stars and the prices are reasonable. The inside of this nail salon is quite spacious, too. With that said, my nails are extremely uneven (see photos). I'm leaving for vacation Saturday, and I work tomorrow, so I'm just going to leave them as is since I don't have time to get them fixed. I don't mean to sound like a priss since at the end of the day, there's much more devastating things going on in the world than a bad manicure, but I'm just bummed. I'll probably go back again since they're close to my apartment, they're prices are fair and the service was good. But I would request a different nail tech and just get a regular gel manicure next time. read more

So apparently someone new took ownership. A girl walked in for a previously scheduled hair appointment and the worker simply said "she's not here anymore," and had no explanation. I got dip nails and they the actual worst nails I've ever seen. Agreed to get the "manicure" which consisted only of removing my previous dip and trimming cuticles. After applying all the layers she did not sand them to be smooth so they are lumpy and crooked. When I asked if she was going to file it down she said no because they are smooth enough since she did "such a great job." I'm really not one to complain but for $50 I want presentable nails. They are all stuck to my fingers. Again for what I paid I shouldn't be having issues like this. I'm embarrassed to keep these on for as long as they'll last. I would advise against this place for sure. read more

This was my first visit at the salon and I was impressed. First to walk in on a Saturday before a holiday 2 hours before closing and be able to be taken within 15 minutes was great. I was greeted by Tiffany who had such a warm and bubbly personality..perfect for a receptionist. Now on to my services. I got a new full set with coffin shaped nails it was $30 (kinda expensive) but I didn't mind paying because it was a very nice salon. Music choices was a bit different for a salon I would like to mention that. My nail tech Ken (like Barbie and Ken ahaha) was great. He kept me involved in a conversation and he was a very funny guy. I absolutely loved my experience here! I went in at 9 am without an appointment, the staff greeted me and took me right away. They were very friendly, and showed me their large selection of gel/shellac colors. The location is extremely convenient since I live near Kawanee/Transcontinental and work at East Jefferson Hospital, and the facility was very clean and modern. Q was my nail tech and he was amazing! He worked quickly, efficiently, and clearly was a professional. I had an acrylic refill with a gel polish, as well as a toe polish change and the price was extremely reasonable! Better than most nail salons in the Metairie/New Orleans area. My nails look better than ever and I could not be more satisfied with my experience here! I think I have finally found my new nail home, and plan on getting my refill and pedicure next visit with Q, and maybe even a haircut with Gwen (she looks like she knows her stuff and her clients appear to love her work!). They seemed to get busier toward the afternoon, so I recommend going early or making an appointment to avoid waiting. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and BEYOND SATISFIED! I had my doubts, since I have really curly hair, and outside of New York, I have always had an issue. I received a wash promptly, blow out, followed by a trim. My stylist was great. I am sooo impressed. She was very sweet, and made conversation, made me feel comfortable. She did such an excellent job on my hair that I wish I could borrow her hands haha. Disappointing!!! This is the 2nd time I've gotten a pedicure at Head 2 Toe and the 1st time, the girl cut my skin by the cuticle, which took a week to heal. The 2nd time, I went late... big mistake! It was two of us and evidently only one of the employees knew how to do a pedicure. The one I had did not!! He cut my nails too short, after I told him I get ingrown nails. He did not get any of the dried skin off my heals or feet. The "massage" was horrible and it took him about 30 minutes to polish my nails. Three strokes to polish a nail... ha! ha! Try about 32 strokes of polish per nail! Don't waste your money!!! read more

I'd like to tell everyone who left Head 2 Toe because of poor service in the past, please try them again. I had a pleasurable experience. The owner and staff were very engaging and pleasant. Apparently under new management and it shows! I called to make my husband a hair appointment they said be here in 30 minutes! Once he was there within the 30 minutes he waited an additional 30 minutes and said he was next! I have a hard time making appts. My life just doesn't allow it. I opened Yelp today to find an appt to get my hair cut and I needed it done early because of work and other errands later. I sent a message to Head to Toe Hair asking if they had 10am appts. Q (The owner) answered in seconds and had an open spot. I got there on time and met with Jay for a consultant. Jay looked at the pics of haircuts I liked and really seemed like he knew what I wanted done. We headed for a wash, and back in the chair for the cut. They were super kind. The music playing was spot on. It was nice and relaxing and everyone was in good spirits. My hair cut is the perfect amount of sassy and cute!! Q tackled my eyebrows and tinted them too and I thought what the heck I will spoil myself with a gel mani. I have cute nails to match my cute hairdo and the hand and arm massage was an added bonus. I am so happy I found this place today. Besides the makeover, the attitude of the employees lifted my spirits. I will be back again and again! This used to be my favorite nail salon but after Gwen and her team left, every experience is terrible. The new male hair dresser/owner is incredibly rude and disruptive for a "salon" experience. He's constantly yelling across the salon and distracting the other employees from their clients. I've called in advance to make sure I wouldn't have to wait for an appointment and still proceed to wait at least 20 minutes. Tiffany is the bomb! She's one of the sweetest and nicest stylists I've ever dealt with. Overall, the salon itself is nice, and the workers are very sweet.
