This place is great if you can get in. They do take walk ins but today was the first time I was ever successful in this because they are always so busy with appointments. FOR GOOD REASON! They are fantastic! I decided to treat myself to one of their deluxe pedicures with lavender. The water had rose petals in it and smelled amazing. The lady who did my pedicure was gentle when it came to getting off my calluses (this part always tickles!) and gave a great foot massage! My toes look so cute now! I wanted to love it! I was excited to see this salon when moving to Lakeview & have been been frequenting it the past few months. The staff is super nice & its 5 minutes from my house however they charge significantly more than other salons. I expected the higher prices being in Lakeview but unfortunately, I often leave the salon feeling like I'm just paying extra for the convenience and not quality. Today was probably my last appt with them. My nail tech was very nice but I'm so disappointed with my nails... I paid $69 (not including tip) for dip nails + manicure. I noticed my left thumb was sooo much longer than my right & looked bad so I asked her to file it down. She did some at the end but I still needed to file it down A LOT at home. I'm used to nail techs asking me if I'm happy with the shape/length when filing, which she didn't do so I didn't notice how much I didn't like them until the end. It normally isn't this bad but I've only walked out once truly feeling like I got a GREAT service. Speaking of options, they have a lot of pedicure choices ranging from $20 to more expensive ones that include paraffin wax and hot stone massages. All of the nail techs do amazing jobs, as well. Tutie is my go-to girl to get my waxes. She has my eyebrows "on fleek"! They also have a hair salon on the other side of the nail bar. She's quick, but she also applies everything precisely. She charges a reasonable price and her work always exceeds my expectations every single time. We had a thorough consultation. I mentioned to you several times you will need to purchase a violet shampoo & conditioner to maintain color care at home because grey/silver fades quickly. You decided not to purchase it. Before you left the salon with pure joy expressing your thoughts on how a true professional I am, I even wrote down my favorite brands for violet shampoo & conditioner stressing the fact that you need to purchase these else where if not from me. Not even 2 weeks later you messaged me about your color fading into a regular blonde. (Which I had warned you before many times that that will happen if proper care at home is not maintained). I offered to adjust the color free of charge. You came into the salon showing me your hair and I explained again. I believe that you were the one that did not want anymore chemicals in your hair. I offered the violet shampoo & conditioner to you again, and you denied. You asked me instead of adjusting your color if I could do your daughter's hair in exchange. I agreed to that & you will not be charged for my time to keep you happy. You agreed to just pay for your daughter's product usage which was $115. Your daughter texted me that you loved her hair! Not only did I Balayage your daughter's full hair, but I also had to color correct it from the previous stylist who did her hair. I did not charge you for color correction service. You were only charged for product usage of $115. I think receiving 2 hair coloring services + color correction on 2 separate individuals for the price of one is quite inexpensive. Most balayage prices in the NO metro area starts at $250+ for one individual. It is not a comparison for you to compare my price to your friend's salon on St. Charles. Went here because my friend had a gift certificate and she wanted to use it. Sat down quickly, place Appears nice, but Not very clean if you really look. Ground was pretty dirty, chairs stained. Also, they don't do a good job for $58 +tip mani/pedi. I've given this place quite a few chances. That was the last one. Paint job has been repeatedly sloppy and filing of nails are uneven. Not worth it when there are so many around the area. I should post a picture of paint job which is one of the most unprofessional and sloppiest I've seen in a while. Went here for my daughters bday. She wanted a mani pedi and I got a pedi. My pedi took longer than her mani pedi and I still got charged full price. Her manicure looks terrible. She got gel but the woman doing her nails was rushing her so now only a day later her gel is already chipping. When my daughter asked for a design the woman said there wasn't time. How is that possible when she finished so quickly? I also made an appointment for us a few days in advance. After coming here for over 5 years, I felt like I was treated well- until today. For background, I have always been an easy customer, and having been in the service industry, I have never tipped less than 20%. I had a 1:00 appointment time, and settled into the foot bath by 1:05. And then I waited. And waited. After half an hour, no one had come by. No one said, "I'll be with you in just a few more minutes." I was completely ignored. And I was completely ignored as I dried off my feet and walked out. It's sad, because I have enjoyed coming here for years. I had an appointment as well- I was not walking in to be "squeezed". The Lakeview crowd will probably love this place. It's posh, sparkling, and full of well-groomed attendants. It has flashy, beautiful new pedi-spas set up, as well as modern grooming stations that are set up around the perimeter of the room. It certainly has the look of a well-appointed nail salon. I'm not impressed by the pedicure service I experienced today. I waited for almost an hour while empty chairs and idle staff just sat there. I was impressed with the array of pedicures at first, but upon closer inspection, they were the same pedicure with different scented oils. Once I got to the chair, I waited another 20 minutes for someone to come around to me. The women who were seated next to me waited through my entire pedicure for service. My pedicurist commented on my skin ("Woah! You've sure got some dry feet!) and exclaimed about my toes ("Hahaha! How long HAS it been since you got a pedicure!? A loooooooooong time!). I felt ridiculed and annoyed. And at the end I paid $60.00 for a lackluster pedicure including tip. read more

I have had my share of gel manicures and NEVER have I had it chip off TWO days later. Unfortunately, the gel mani I received at I'land Pedispa was NOT shiny and like I said started chipping on day two; by day four I removed it at home and polished my nails myself!! Love this place! I'm a frequent, every 2 weeks sort of gal for pedicures and this place hits the spot! I love their different Spa Pedicure Options to help relieve the hectic work week. It's clean, awesome customer service, and there's never really a long wait. They always address & fix my ingrown nail issue (the only reason why I come back every 2 weeks). This helps me during my work days when I have to wear closed toe shoes. My only complaint is that there isn't much consistency in matching Gel Nail polishes and polishes for the toes. Some of the other salons I've been to while living in other States always had matching Gel Polishes so it's nice to have exactly matching fingers and toes. But Overall..I always come back. Before going to Vy I had very brown brassy colored highlights/lowlights and I'm now platinum after a couple of sessions with Vy. I discovered this place about a month ago and I love it! Very clean and modern style. Makes me feel comfortable and relaxed. I went in September to get my eyebrows waxed because I'm a hairy mess. The woman did a great job! She listened to what I wanted, how I wanted them shaped, and she made it painless! I walked out looking like a queen. I went back yesterday to get a manicure with my friend. I was a little disappointed because the woman that did my nails seemed like she was in a rush and didn't take her time. Some of my nails aren't fully painted, some of them started chipping because they took my out of the nail dryer to early etc. On the other hand, my friends nails came out looking FRESH! From a 5 to a 0 My daughter and I have been coming for almost 4 years. My daughter is there every 2 weeks like clock work. Up until recently we have loved every experience from the pedi's to our nails. Just before Christmas my daughter had a very bad experience and let the salon in tears. During the visit she let the lady doing her nails that they were not correct and it was not what she wanted. And she was told that when they were done they would be what she asked for. Needless to say they were not. When she got up to wash her hands she informed the lady not to charge her card and she wanted to talk to Tudy. When she returned her card had been processed. The charge was voided and she was told to come back and they would correct them next time. So 2 weeks later she comes back and it takes more than 2 hours to soak off the bad nails. So long that there is only time to do gel and not the new set. So two weeks later we go back and her new set is done but she is charged even though she was told she would not be. But things have changed now she feels uncomfortable there and she feel like they don't want her there and they are rude. Today she goes back as it is two weeks later. After leaving she goes to the dog park and broke an nail so she goes back. Only this time it's like they can not be bothered with her. It's an hour and a half wait to get one nail filled when it is not busy. So she walks out and will not return. She left and found somewhere else to get it repaired. So now you've lost one customer in because I like to go with her when I get my nails done if now is a second customer because she will not return to your store. It's a shame as we have been coming for almost 4 years and the 1st time she is not satisfied she becomes worthless as a customer. What's sad as she let the lady know over and over that it was right starting with the second nail. And they lady argued with her. In 4 year maybe broke 3 nails this time 7!
