Our second day in town my husband surprised me with a prenatal massage at Bellezza, along with one of his own. Unfortunately we booked last minute and weren't able to do them simultaneously or in the same room, but nonetheless I'm glad they fit us in. Upon walking in, pop music was playing and were were met by an extremely kind receptionist who offered us water, tea, coffee. I accepted peppermint hot tea, that was given to me in a white mug and saucer, as we were taken to the waiting area that had a fireplace and cushioned couches/chairs. This waiting area was so comfy and cozy, it definitely started the whole relaxation experience. We both filled out a page worth of paperwork that asked details on our health and history, that the masseuses take before the massage. Now, for the massages themselves. I got a prenatal massage and the table was bent into a sort of V shape, where I laid on my back and my feet were highly elevated. I liked this, especially after all my traveling, I was dealing with quite a bit of swelling. She put on some relaxation sounds and started with my head and shoulders then moved to my feet and legs. She had a very firm pressure that I enjoyed, especially while working on my shoulders. It was clear I had several knots she was working out. When she got to my feet and legs, where she spent 40% of her time, I'm not going to lie but it felt so good I knocked out and started snoring lol (embarrassing). I woke myself up from a snore and apologized, she said it was completely fine and to just relax. After the feet and legs, she moved to my back. To get to my back, she had me lay on my side with a pillow between my legs. I will say that as a pregnant lady with a whole lot of belly, this position wasn't ideal and took some time to get comfortable in, but I did. This was evident from me falling asleep again haha When the massage concluded, I felt incredibly relaxed I just wanted to stay on that table and take a nap! Overall a very good massage. The massage was 50 minutes for $85 I believe, and I would say that it was worth it. I was completely relaxed and relieved of pressure. To make this a 5 Star experience, I only wish that we had been able to switch sides for the back portion towards the end and maybe have a table where they have the cut out that cups the belly. Regardless, it was well worth the time and money. Happy to have included Bellezza in our babymoon.

I never write reviews but with my experience here recently, I felt that I needed to reach out. I recently had my hair done with Alyssa and I showed her the exact picture of what I was looking for and told her that I wanted my hair to be much "brighter." After I left, I looked at my hair in regular lighting (it always looks different because they have the lights directly on your head to make it look brighter) and it looked exactly the same as before I had gotten it done. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and called back to say that I wasn't thrilled with how my hair came out and the woman at the front desk was very sweet and helpful in getting me a new appointment to fix it. I then went in for the re-do and I was told once that I got in the chair that she didn't have time to dry my hair ( I was not offered to have it dried by anyone else) so without any other option I said okay. I then explained that I had been looking to make my hair much brighter than before. I thought she had grasped it so she worked on it again and then had someone else wash it out. My hair does get very tangled when washed so I simply let the new girl know. She then started combing my wet hair down the back of my shirt (without a towel) and I soon I realized that my back was soaked. I was then handed the comb and told to "run through the rest of the hair." So I proceeded to comb my own hair in the middle of the salon while she grabbed her coat and ran out the door. I was told I could go and as I walked out with soaking wet hair (barely even towel dried), and a soaking wet back of my shirt (in the middle of winter), Alyssa asked if my hair looked okay. I was stunned because how does one know what their hair looks like when its drenched? When I got home, I dried it on my own- and my shirt- and noticed that she really didn't listen and only put two huge, bulky, bright blonde streaks - not to the root- in the front to frame my face (the rest of my blonde had been blended so it looked very off). I called to complain a second time, mostly about combing my own hair in the salon and walking out with a soaking wet head and back. The manager had spoken with the employees and then proceeded to tell me that she gets it because "the customer is always right." To me it seemed like she thought I was making up the whole scenario for her to say that. She did offer to have my hair re-done a third time but this time by the woman that had me brushing my own hair. I declined and asked if I could have her, the manager, re-do it instead. She said that she does not work the times that I was available (I work regular hours so I would have to come after work) and said that I could take time off of work to come in and get my hair done... A THIRD TIME. Honestly it felt like they valued their regular customers more than they wanted my new business. I could deal with my hair not looking right (even though I paid an arm and leg for it) but the service was really pretty bad. I think it's great that the manager wants her clients to leave loving their hair, but in my specific case I would have just loved to have been valued a little more as a customer- especially for the amount of money I paid. read more

Over my 20+ years of spa services I would have to say Headlines Salon and Day Spa in Falmouth Massachusetts is simply the BEST. Barbara the owner greets me with a warm and friendly hello that makes me feel like I'm one of the family. It's obvious that she carefully selects only the finest staff from the front desk to the assistants - it's an experience not to be missed. Michelle my stylist guru will always comes up with new colors/highlights and styles that keep my look fresh and upbeat! Michelle's sense of style and humor make my visits the best part of my day! I stated going to Headline 3 12/ years ago after my daughter and the entire bridal party had their hair done there. Audra did a superb job with the bride's hair, so much so, that her sister who got married this past June and had 10 attendants also had Audra do everyone's hair!! I go every 3 weeks for cut and color-Cheryl does my nails and waxing. Everyone in the salon is professional and friendly. I've gotten several good brow waxes here and I'm a big fan. I've gotten great service from the front desk, and they were vary accommodating the few times I've had to change an appoinment. And contrary to what another poster said, their brow waxes are actually less expensive than "across the street" - I paid $17 for an excellent wax and shaping at Headlines, while I see $18 listed at other Main Street locations. All in all a good deal and very nice service! Recommended. read more

Headlines is an amazing salon to go for any services you need. I have been going to the salon for 4 years and have received wonderful services every time. The staff is all very accommodating, friendly, and talented. I recently got married and was able to enjoy a relaxed beginning to my day with my bridesmaids getting hair and make up done, and the extra treat was being able to bring in champagne and breakfast and have some space to enjoy the beginning of my special day. read more

I have tried several Salons in the Falmouth and Mashpee area, but have found the best one at Headlines. Their services were outstanding and my stylist Michelle is great! She has a wonderful sense of style and really pays attention to detail with her clients and has a wonderful sense of humor. i would not step into any other salon in falmouth or the cape. headlines has the cutting-edge products like condition-culture feather's and sojourn products that cover everyones needs. i have sent several friends to have updo;s for weddings as well as mani's and pedi's that they have walked out the door looking like they should be on the red carpet. headlines is not a miss to make! read more

I also have to remark on how well the highlights that Genevieve game me grew out. It was so natural, that I have not done any lightening since I was at ROOTS. As my hair grew, the highlights softened and just faded so naturally, as if it was lightened by the summer sun. My hair is in amazing shape and stylish. I will say again; this salon is NOT for a person that wants a fast and boring $30.00 cut and dry. They take their time and give you a cut to meet your styling needs/requirements.
