I went to get my hair done with a bunch of girls for my sisters wedding. The ladies here are super sweet and let you bring in your own food and wine which is awesome. There was five of us getting our hair done and although mine did not come out the way I wanted the lady at the front desk was more than happy to find someoen else to fix it. Everyone loved their hair at the end and Julie who did my sister's hair was absolutely phenominal! I believe the girl who fixed my hair was holly? not quite sure but she was fantastic. We had our make up done by Shannon who really knows her stuff! Their prices I found were a tad pricey but for the service you are getting it truly is worth it. We were asked serval times if we wanted water or coffee. They were super accomidating. I would deffinately recomend people for this salon. I loved it! read more

Been going to Headlines for several years and ever since not a week goes by without someone asking, "Where do you get your hair done?" The prices are on par with the area (and lower than on Martha's Vineyard, where I used to go). I'm always offered a drink of water or coffee (and always more than once) and one time, when my appointment was particularly long (cut + highlights + manicure) the staff got me lunch! I have been a client of Audra's at Headlines for 2 years and love going to see her so much, I have commuted from Warwick, RI just to have her touch up my hair. Audra is talented, warm & friendly, professional, and always is concerned about providing excellent service to her clients. I specifically requested that she do my hair for my wedding in October 2010. It was absolutely beautiful, was exactly what I wanted (a beautiful, classic french twist that lasted all night and was perfect for what I wanted) and received multiple compliments; my bridesmaids were equally happy with their hair which was also done at Headlines. Audra goes above and beyond expectations as well- the last time I saw her I mentioned that I needed a simple DIY updo and asked her if she could tell me how to do an easy one. Instead of just telling me, she showed me with my own hair and let me have the tools (bobbypins and hair ties) to do it with. Audra really shows that she cares about her clients, it shows in her demeanor, her work, and her customer loyalty. I highly recommend visiting Headlines and seeing Audra!! After hearing great reviews about Headlines from other shops in downtown falmouth, I decided to take a chance and try this salon for my wedding day. With about 10 people in my wedding/wedding party having their hair styled for my big day, it got a little chaotic. But they handled the situation beautifully and were even able to accomodate friends and family who didn't have appointments. I highly recommend Gloria or Audra for your updo. At last! A salon where an unstylish, little make-up, average woman can go, feel welcomed, chit chat with not only my stylist but other well-dressed, funny, stylish people. Excellent experience. I went to Headlines on my wedding day in September 2017 and had hair and makeup done for myself and my 3 bridesmaids. We all absolutely loved the results. Shannon, my makeup artist, is a sorcerer - she is amazing at enhancing your natural looks so that it seems like you're not wearing much makeup, but you look flawless and glowing. Audra was fantastic - I did a trial hair appointment earlier in the week (which I highly recommend, no matter where you go). She was amenable to all the styles I showed her for both me and my girls. I was hesitant to bring in this beaded hair accessory that I really liked because I didn't want to be high-maintenance, but she was happy to play around with it and did an incredible job incorporating it into my final hairstyle. It wasn't super cheap, but I thought it was worth every penny. Audra and the staff let us bring our lunch in and hang out in our own section, which made for a fun and relaxed afternoon. We had a 5:00 pm ceremony, and were at the salon from 12:00-2:30 (we all did updo's and makeup, if you want to do wash and blow drys for downdo's, plan on needing more time). Today I finally got up the nerve to cut my hair short. I have had long hair all my life. I was sweating when I called and spoke with John at the front desk. I had picked Michelle from their website based on her profile of years of experience and keeping up with current trends, razor cuts etc. And may I add all the stylist on the site looked like they had great hair, which always helps! Today--oh no!-Michelle's day off!! I knew I would not go through with it if I didn't get it done today! I considered an appointment next Saturday, but felt like I really wouldn't go. John called Michelle and she actually came in on her day off to do my hair! Now I was locked in--no turning back, no wimping out!!! Driving in I was sweating, heart pounding, but knew I really wanted to do it! Well, my decision to use Michelle was perfect. I could tell from the moment I met her she would do a great job. She was so understanding about how I was feeling. They donated my hair to locks of love, which really put my feeling into perspective and made me feel great about making a change! Wow, what a wonderful way to let go of long locks and share them with a beautiful young girl who has lost her hair due to cancer! My haircut--FREE! Headlines gives back to the community. I love that! I was so impressed. I got a haircut I love and I know I wll return again to see Michelle!!!! Not to mention they offered me lunch too! I've been coming to Headlines for years and I've never had a problem with them. However, when I went for my wedding hair style, it was probably the most traumatizing hair experience I've ever had. One of their hair stylists went out of her way to come over and look at my head piece to tell me how "stupid" it was - that she'd ordered the same one and it was the most stupid headpiece ever. Perhaps she thought she was being helpful, but that's not really what you want to hear three hours before your actual wedding. Perhaps if someone had stepped in to stop her (she went on and on about it for about 10 minutes), I would feel comfortable continuing to use this salon. It's a lovely place, everyone else is super friendly, it's very clean, and it's in the perfect location. But after having someone who wasn't even my stylist tell me that my wedding hair style stupid was not just extremely upsetting, but also inappropriate for such a professional business, especially since nothing was done about the situation, even after we told the manager. read more

Several years ago, I packed up my belongings and moved to the Cape for the entire summer. As a Boston city girl, I was worried about my "upkeep" deteriorating without the myriad of hair, nail, and facial salons I attend. Luckily, I became acquainted with some very well coiffed locals at the gym, and they all seem to gather at Headlines for all of these services. "One place that does everything?" I asked. "Impossible."Well I am writing this to prove that theory wrong. Since I became a summer Falmouth resident, I have spent every week at Headlines for one service or another, including the time that the owner made may hair the perfect shade of caramel blonde. The service at Headlines is better than most Boston salons and the expertise of the staff unparalleled. Now that I am back in Boston, I sorely miss the one-stop shopping for my facials, manicures, hair color, waxing and blow-drys. I had contacted Headlines last year as I was going to be getting married in the area. Being from out of state I had to rely on reviews and recommendations for salons. Headlines had been recommended by several businesses in the Falmouth area. They were wonderful to work with over the phone, very accommodating and comforting. My bridesmaid and I arrived early for our appointment the day of my wedding. Immediately I was nervous because they were running behind. I was told by one of the girls at the front desk that they had already done 6 wedding parties that day and mine was the last. I had a small wedding hence just the one bridesmaid. When we finally got to our seats, I felt relieved until the women that started doing my hair wasn't doing anything with it besides frizzing it! I had brought in 3 pictures and a hair piece and she couldn't accommodate me. Finally after tears, my bridesmaid asked if someone else could do my hair. Even the next women couldn't do a simple style. Literally, all I wanted was to have my hair curled in big curlers and pined up just a little. Since I was up against time I finally had to accept what she was doing to my hair which I never imagined having to do on my wedding day. Next came the make up lady who was just plain rude and rushed through my makeup. In the end my wedding was beautiful but the only bad thing that I will remember is the train wreck at Headlines.
