Ok..... I don't know how to say this but. I didn't get what I asked for. I let my hair grow for months! More than 8 months. And everything went to sh*t in a couple minutes. I came to this wonderful place cause I saw SO MANY GOOD REVIEWS and you know what? It's very good. Dave was amazing, very kind and with a great service but guys.... Please! FADES are NOT the only cuts in the world! I came asking for a MULLET and he did a fade... a haircut very much the same that he did to the previous guy before me. In many occasions I told him I DON'T LIKE SHORT HAIR! I said this many times! And even tho mullet its short on the edges I was ok with that but Dave did a fade on the back of my head which I specifically said I DON'T LIKE SHORT HAIR! Come on guys! WHY !!!!!! Like FR! TLDR: - Great Service - Friendly atmosphere - Nice ambiance - Super knowledgeable staff - Comparable pricing The details: I'd been to the other location in Tustin and had a similar experience, but here's the deal, the barbers know their stuff and are incredibly patient, flexible, and cater your experience to whatever you want it to be. The barber I had was Dave and I was late! I had mixed up my times and called 5 minutes before my cut to see if we could push back the appointment by 30 minutes and he was very understanding and agreed. I originally ordered set my appointment for a hair cut + Beard combo, but because I got my times confused I had to adjust it when I arrived and again, Dave was accommodating. Dave was quick, accommodated my schedule, knowledgeable about what products I could use for my hair, for my beard, and even some skincare tips. But here's the the best part: while I was getting my cut, there were two new clients on either side of me and each of them were met with the same kind of experience I had with Dave but with their barbers. One of the clients, you could tell didn't really want to have a conversation so the barber limited the conversations to just a few questions about the hair style. The guy on my right was chatting up a storm and the barber was matching his energy. Everyone seemed welcoming and really eager to create the best barber experience. Sure, they are at work and doing their job, but there's something to be said about the quality and care each barber had for each of their clients. The shop itself is super clean and has a sleek aesthetic that looks super cool (love the VW in the back)! I took my boyfriend to get a haircut here, and going into it, we were both nervous for him. My boyfriend has gone to several places to get his hair cut before, and no one seemed to do him right. It could be because his hair is too thick or curly in an uncommon way, but nonetheless, he hadn't found a place where he could rely on getting a good haircut from. So we tried Headzup. My boyfriend scheduled a scissors cut, and he had Mike do it for him. At the end of the appointment, he and I walked out of the shop feeling really skeptic about how his hair looked. However, after showering and letting his hair dry, we saw that Mike did indeed do him right!
