I went to Healdsburg Optometry to buy sunglasses. I entered the boutique and the woman working behind the register desk never once stood up to help me. The place was empty. Nobody was there. I brought in two pairs of sunglasses to see if she could repair them. She looked at each for less than ten seconds and told me they were both irreparable. I looked at the Maui Jim glasses and was desperate for a pair. Out of necessity I bought a pair of Maui Jim glasses there. Afterwards I drove to Santa Rosa to the Sunglass Hut where the two women could have not been more helpful. Not only did they repair my Ray-bans, but they found a jeweler who could repair my other pair of glasses. I regretted buying the glasses from the unfriendly and unhelpful woman at Healdsburg Optometry, and wish I would have bought the glasses at the Sunglass Hut where the price was $30.00 cheaper. read more

Never been so uncomfortable in my life. I ran out in the middle of his questioning (the paperwork you fill out usually before the appointment, he this during.) He had a comment on every answer I gave him. Extremely unprofessional. read more

The absolute worst experience I have ever had...."complete" eye exam not even 10 minutes, outrageously expensive glasses (was told "lucky you have insurance" and then charged $1200.00 for TWO pair of glasses). Additionally, no attempts to fit glasses, extra charges that were not explained...now why, you say, would I pay the $1200??? No other reason than utter shock at everything that had happened. On top of ALL this, the glasses are the wrong prescription as I cannot even use them. Avoid this place and practice!!!! Going to Costco where I should have gone in the first place. read more

If I could give less stars, I would. Since the new doctor took over, quality has gone down. I have never been fat shamed like he did to me, and if there was a way to sue the doctor, I would, I just don't have the means to do it. He is an eye doctor, and he needs to focus on my eyes. Not ask me what I eat everyday, and tell me that I need to drink Odwalla drinks everyday. If you want more details, just ask. I've been going to Healdsburg Optometry now for about 4 or 5 years. Even if I get my eyes checked elsewhere for a new prescription, I won't go anywhere else for frames. Sara had better never leave or I seriously may have to hunt her down!!! She is the only person that has EVER been able to help me choose frames that look decent on me. So many places just won't give you their opinions on how they look on you, and with so many frames to choose from, it can be overwhelming. The pair I got a year ago or so... I had bazillions of compliments on them. And they are nothing that I likely would have ever even picked up on my own. And I went to Dr. Soria just before he left and have now been to see Dr. Smith. I was happy with both. No fat shaming here as one reviewer mentioned. Just kindness (and a few laughs to boot). Although I'm a prime candidate for it. I also love the new automated equipment they have! P.S. They will take your old glasses and give them to charity. read more

My mom's eye glasses have been sitting wrong and cutting into her nose. I bought her in and the receptionist could not have been nicer. She reshaped the glasses, put on new nose pads and cleaned them. She was so kind and sweet to my mom that I almost started to cry. Mom has cancer and all I want to do is make her happy. Healdsburg optometry took my exam 3 weeks ago and I've called 3 times to see if my lenses have arrived which i am in need of really badly and the only answer is that they have no idea when my lenses will be in that they have no control over the manufacturer and if i need to get another optometrist go ahead. I've had many doctors and optometrists through the years but none less professional than Healdsburg optometry. don't waste your time or money there read more

Friday afternoon I scratched my cornea on a bath towel. After trying to deal with the pain for hours, I finally gave in and realized I needed professional help. But it was 4:15 on a Friday evening and I live in Cloverdale! I called up Healdsburg Optometry, explained my situation, and the receptionist told me to just get there as soon as I could. When I arrived, she was extremely sympathetic and helpful. Without an appointment, I only had to wait for about 2 minutes until Dr. Soria was able to see me. He worked so quickly and efficiently I never once doubted I was in good hands. The whole visit was over in less than ten minutes and only cost me $30. This wonderful office helped me out of a jam while in Healdsburg for a destination wedding. Airline misplaced all our bags, which of course included all my contacts. Called the office from Google and they provided me with my pescription lenses, enough for my stay, and free of charge. I was thrilled with their kindness and assistance.
