I just got done at Healing Ki not too long and wow...... I got the Craniosacral therapy massage. First of all I have never even heard of such a thing and have had many massages and visited many chiropractors due to my disability. I am a disabled combat veteran that suffers from back pain every day along with PTSD that makes sleeping and relaxing very difficult for me. I can only fall asleep on my right side because it is the least painful. However during this Craniosacral massage i could feel the immense warmth and energy transfer from Tiglat's hands a long with the slight soft movements that made me so relaxed and comfortable that I fell asleep flat on my back for the first time in years. Not to mention the relief of pain I felt afterwards. No words can describe this mans expertise and knowledge of the human body. If you decide not to pay him a visit you are making a huge mistake. For anyone looking for a truly therapuetic massage, I fully recommend a visit to Healing Ki. Tiglat is a skilled massage therapist. Tiglat asked many questions about problem areas in my body. I told him about the knots in my back, and showed him specific problem areas. Tiglat devoted a whole hour to my back. Not only did he focus on the knots I pointed out to him, but he was able to find and target many others that I was completely unaware of even having. He used heated bamboo rods which I had never had in a massage before. The massage was relaxing, and it did feel good, though he really emphasized the therapuetic part of the massage. He made sure that nothing was ever truly painful, but he didn't ignore tight knots and pressure points that needed a bit of pain in order to get better. Tiglat was friendly and attentive, but very professional. He did not speak throughout my massage, which I appreciated very much. If you are someone who likes to remain silent and completely zonk out, do not worry about having Tiglat chat you up throughout. After my massage, he asked me how I felt, if I felt satisfied with my massage, and told me to relax for the rest of the day, stay hydrated, and to do plenty of stretching (the stretching was very important). The day after my massage he called to follow up with me, to see how my back was doing. I really appreciated how thorough and thoughtful Tiglat was. Although I'm a frequent Yelp reviewer, this is actually my first review! My husband surprised me with an appointment with Tiglat while we were on vacation in Encinitas. I have a 10 month old baby, chronic tendonitis in my wrist, and a really crazy job - so yeah, I needed a good massage. I'm not kidding when I say that this was the best massage I've ever had in my entire life. I had so much pain and tension in my shoulder and arm as a result of trying to compensate for the limited use of my wrist, and after my massage it was all gone. Tiglat uses special stones and also heated bamboo rods to conduct the massage, something I had never really experienced before. I felt like I had gotten a deep tissue massage by the end, except without the pain and suffering. Tiglat is a really kind and warm person, and the whole experience was amazingly relaxing and peaceful. I think I'm going to have to move to Encinitas so I can go back here. I was in the area on vacation when I decided to book a massage to deal with the knots in my neck, upper back and IT band. This therapist, Tiglat, is very popular so usually you have to book in advance but a cancellation came through, lucky for me. What a find! First of all, the set-up was very comforting. The massage table had a heating pad which I loved because I'm always cold, and he incorporated hot stones into the massage which helped tremendously. Also, Tiglat used the aromatherapy of my choice and this coconut paste (instead of oil) which was nice and moisturizing and not a bit greasy. He asked about specific areas of concern and then went to work. Tiglat just seems very intuitive. He quickly identified and eliminated the knots so I wasn't sitting around thinking "you missed a spot."
