Judging by how overdone her own face looks, I would strongly advise against going to an injector who seems completely out of touch with conservative, natural filler practices. This was the first injector I ever went to, and since then I've met with seven other nurses and medspas both to correct her work and for other services which only made it clearer how unethical and careless her approach is in comparison. I understand that everyone has different expectations when it comes to bedside manner, customer service, and how much explanation they want before making a decision. That's fair. But I also think it's important to separate someone being direct from someone being dishonest or trying to scam you. My experience has been the opposite. Yes, this is a smaller shop. But that does not take away from the quality of care they provide. If anything, I appreciate that they are more straightforward. Could something be explained for 20 minutes instead of 10 seconds? Sure. Some people may prefer that. But personally, I would rather have someone tell me directly what they see, what they recommend, and whether I want to move forward. In this industry, there is a lot of fluff. There are a lot of places that make everything sound amazing, sell you packages, push products, and promise results that do not always show up. None of that matters to me if the results are not there. I will take directness and real results over polished sales talk any day. At no point have I ever felt pushed into doing something I did not need. I never felt like they were trying to squeeze more money out of me. In fact, one of the things I appreciate most is that they seem much more focused on what actually makes sense for my skin than on trying to sell me everything possible, even when I inquired about a service that was more expensive. My results speak for themselves. I've had two subcision sessions and two microneedling session, and I've already seen real improvement. After years of trying Fraxel, microneedling, and other treatments elsewhere, that matters to me. So I understand that not everyone may like a no-nonsense style. At one point, my entire back was left uncovered for what felt like nearly 30 minutes while it was still wet from the wet towel and massage oil. I was freezing and incredibly uncomfortable. I originally requested medium pressure, but instead she repeatedly dug her elbow into my neck, moving it back and forth without any real technique or purpose. It was painful rather than therapeutic. I eventually asked her to switch to light pressure, but then the massage became so light that it barely felt like a massage at all. It was just rubbing with no technique or muscle work. I've honestly had better massages during a pedicure. I had been looking forward to relaxing and even falling asleep, but instead I couldn't relax because the massage was uncomfortable and ineffective. It honestly felt amateurish and lazy. The most frustrating part came when it was time to pay. When booking, they require a $40 deposit. Since I was unhappy with my massage, I told the receptionist I wanted to leave a $20 tip for my husband's massage therapist, who did a good job, and only $10 for mine. Instead of respecting my decision, they REPEATEDLY pressured me to leave a $40 tip since they already have my "deposit". I had to repeat myself THREE separate times: "$20 for my husband's therapist and $10 for mine." I don't mind tipping for good service, but I don't believe poor service should be rewarded.
