I happened to notice Jun servicing my neighbor's pool and asked for his advice. He confidently said that a drainage was unnecessary and could make my pool swimable again without all the superfluous costs. He was upfront on what would be expected of me and what he would do weekly/yearly. I had no idea what a pool needed. He explained that the pump needs to be run at least 6 hours a day to circulate the water. He would come weekly to test the water, clean the pool and check the small filter (and probably other things I forgot about). Yearly, he puts conditioner in (he explained what it does but I can't remember). A couple months ago, my pool started to turn slightly green. He put some other chemicals in to help it. But it didn't work. So he checked my big filter and told me it needed a cleaning . He and another guy came that weekend and cleaned it. After he was done, he texted and explained everything he did to the filter and pool and what I needed to do to make sure the water clears up. By the next day, the pool started to clear up. Within a couple days, it was back to normal. He's very responsive and helpful. He comes when I'm at work so I usually text him if I need anything or have questions. He speaks English but is also fluent in Korean. Totally hire this guy/company if you need a pool guy!

Phosphates at 1339 TDS at 3600 I essentially asked CWS what i am paying them for 8/4/2026 in an effort to correct the water quality, CWS gave the pool a phosphate treatment using Orenda PR-10000 phosphate remover. We agreed that I would call when the pool is clear and they would clean the filters. 8/7/2026 I called CWS to schedule filter cleaning on 8/12/2026 8/11/2026 Regular weekly maintenance with Diego. 8/11/2026 CWS called after weekly maintenance visit to reschedule filter cleaning for later in the week. He "didnt know why" he was scheduled for a bigger job. 8/12/2026 I had the filters cleaned by a different company. I got lucky. This company said that CWS knew exactly what they were doing and that delaying the filter cleaning would have caused the filter to crack; damaging my property. And here is what a crack in the DE filter means: When a diatomaceous earth pool filter cracks from pressure, it either means an internal part (like plastic manifold) has split, causing DE powder to blow back into the pool or the external outer tank has ruptured, which creates an extreme safety hazard by spraying water or violently bursting. To CWS's credit as of Aug. 17, 2026: phosphates are 471 (1339 on July 31) TDS n/a (3600 on July 31) As of Aug 12, 2026, The water is circulating like a champ now compared to what it was PRIOR to the phosphate treatment! In hindsight I believe that Diego was using something he calls "soap" after he's cleaned the pool and this"soap" gets smaller particles in the middle easier to collect. This soap doesnt bubble, it is mystery soap that I never saw him use last summer. Soap also does a great job of clogging the grids in the filter. And, if the pH or alkalinity is off, that also helps to clog up the filter. These and I'm sure there are other factors I am unaware of, that have contributed to crappy water circulation. CWS seems to have had a plan to create an environment where the water wasnt circulating well, then reduce needed chemicals, creating the algae issue. After a month of copper algaecide treatment (because I bitched about it), they killed the bloom, though the dead bloom is still on the sides of the pool and looks like shit. From the algae bloom to the delay in cleaning the filter, that is 2nd attempt to 1) damage my property, 2) breach of contract, 3) negligence / shirking their professional responsibilities in about 45 days. I am still wondering why I allowed CWS to clean the filters in February when historically, CWS has always cleaned them late May / Early June. Something happened in having the filters cleaned in February that contributed to all of this. I had another pool company look at my pool, and the first thing they said was the pH is too high, and they were right because I had the water tested at Leslies. None of this is rocket science, CWS knew exactly what they were doing. They were purposefully shirking their professional responsibilities. This is my awesome experience from Feb - Aug of 2026 with CWS. All this for a whopping $250.00 a month! The kicker of it is, I have been with this company since mid 2024, so almost 2 years now with zero issues. Something has changed in their decision making and transparency over the last 7 months that has spoiled their 1) overall service, 2) my trust in their ability, 3) my confidence in them moving forward.
