I am saying this because since March I have tried to find local providers to assist me with my vision and dental needs and was vastly unsuccessful. It was not until today that I called and got Ms. Tameko that my faith in humanity has been restored. Ms. Tameko was not only professional, attentive, proactive and courteous, but she actually called several providers for me as I would call, and no one would answer for me. Ms. Tameko searched providers in my area and stayed on the phone with me if in the event the provider could not accept my insurance and or if they did not have availability. After providing all requested information, I was transferred to another agent who then asked me to repeat the same questions all over again. Overall, the experience felt inefficient, repetitive, and a poor use of time for what should have been a quick update.

They will give you a list of durable medical equipment vendors you can contact for a breast pump, but none of the vendors carry them because they only supply equipment such as walkers, wheelchairs, diabetic supplies, wound care, etc. And if a vendor does order a breast pump for you, MPH will not guarantee they will cover it if it is a brand they don't approve. But they also won't tell you which brands are covered. Every rep I spoke to had no idea how to provide me a breast pump through my plan. They do not allow reimbursement; they don't know which DME vendors carry them; they don't know if it will be covered until AFTER you order and pay for it. They even asked me to contact their DME network manager, Integra Partners IPA, so they wouldn't have to find a solution on their own. I am shocked that with so many members on MPH, the insurance company and its reps have no idea how to provide such a simple and common medical device.

I then spent hours calling customer service, being transferred repeatedly between departments, waiting on hold for supervisors, and still nobody could clearly answer a very basic question: which psychiatrists are actually in-network for this plan? At this point, every time I need to book any type of appointment, I lose hours trying to verify coverage because the directories and information provided are inaccurate or outdated. I am paying nearly $900/month for this insurance, yet I have spent an unbelievable amount of time trying to access basic care. The administrative burden has honestly become absurd. The issue is not just the network itself -- it is that customer support seems unable to provide reliable guidance, even for something as simple as outpatient psychiatry/medication management. If mental health coverage is heavily advertised, there should be accurate provider information and functioning support systems behind it.
