The Doctors at this Optometry are very good and caring. I didn't have any issues with my sight check or treatment. However, the prices at the Optometry are ridiculously high. I was charged $198 for a Ray-Ban frame (after a 30% discount since it was a second pair, it was $138.60). I found the same frame on the Ray-Ban website for $57.40. I called them the same day to cancel my order, but they said it was in production, and I would have to pay 50% of the original price for cancellation. Even the lenses are super priced. $290 for lenses with UV Protection and Anti Reflective Coating. I was getting the better premium lens for half the price. I am not going to purchase glasses here anymore, it feels like you are scammed if you look at actual prices. read more

I didn't want to write this review, but I need to warn everyone that chooses this facility for their needs. It took over six months just to get my glasses, which is already ridiculous. But what made it worse was the complete lack of management. Every time I called, I got the same vague responses like "they're still processing" or "we'll call you when they're ready " but no one ever did. I asked to speak to the manager multiple times, and every time I was told she was "busy." At this point, I genuinely started wondering if she even existed. (She does, but don't expect her to ever call you back.) Sure, she's nice when you see her up front, but as a manager? Terrible. Zero follow through, no accountability, and clearly no urgency to resolve anything. What's the point of having a manager if they refuse to actually manage? read more

So a year ago I came as a new patient to this company and all and all the appointments went well, but be aware they are super over prices. Just recently I brought my damaged classes back to them and I was told they could not be fixed. I asked can't you send them to the lab? These are $700 frames and they claimed it could not be done. Not only could it be done when I went back to Sites for Sore eyes not only did they fix my glasses free of charge. They also put my prescription into my new sunglasses from Maui Jims for $189 and Healthy Eyes quoted me after my insurance $800 my cost. Steer clear of this office, because if they can they will overcharge you immensely. read more

We are so grateful to Dr. Han! We just finished our exam and my kid's eye sight improved from 20/400 to 20/25 in 4 months. 2 stars for being a walk in and the receptionist was nice. I came because Kaiser optometry didn't have sports glasses for kids and this place did. Unfortunately out of pocket would cost me $400+ even with a 20% discount. So the optometrist suggested I check with Kaiser if they can put the lens in and I would purchase the frames from them. So I did, but Kaiser wanted to know the brand and model first. When I called the office back, the optometrist said she wouldn't give me the information if I'm not buying from them! Excuse me! I'm doing exactly what you suggested by checking with Kaiser! I told this to the secretary who was totally nice and told the optometrist this. The optometrist gave me the brand name and said "theyre all the same." Which is not true. She gave my son multiple styles of the same brand to try on. I didn't expect this kind of treatment. The best optometrist and staff! My whole family have been coming to this clinic and seeing Dr. Han for almost 10 years and always get provided with excellent service. Dr. Han and his staff has been so amazing, most specially Fatima. They always try to work around our busy schedule and provide us different options. The selection is great and the service is even better! Both my kids wear ortho-K lenses while my wife and I wear daily disposable contact lenses. My daughter and I started going to Dr. Han in 2007. When I moved to New Zealand, I still kept Dr. Han and would see him on my visits back to the states. Now we live in Citrus Heights but I wouldn't dream of going to someone closer. My 92-year old mother-in-law is here from New Zealand. She had cataract surgery before she came here, and Dr. Han helped us with her followup and fitting her for bifocals. If you needed your eyes to be checked, or feel that something is not right, Dr. Han will help you. He will go thru the process of examination your eyes, explaining to you along the way so you'll be aware of what he's doing. From contacts, frames to lasik, he's knowledgeable in all, do don't be afraid to ask questions if you have any concern. If you need help with financing, he will also refer you to a few places with affordable insurance. He will guide you, and will not abandon treatment if you're eyes are in need of extreme care. He's very patient, understand and friendly. I would recommend everyone to come to him to have your eyes examined. He has a great variety in frames, sunglasses, lens, etc. He'll help you what is best suited for you and if you're on a budget, he'll guide you to the ones that are reasonably priced. First, let me say that I'll definitely go back to Dr.Han's office and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a friendly office and a great selection of contemporary frame styles. I visited Dr. Han for the first time last week for an eye exam. Dr. Han and his staff were very friendly and helpful. While I was there I ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses. I ordered them mainly because they had the same style of Oakley frames that I currently wear. The whole process was easy - no complaints. However, there was a mix up with Oakley and it turned out that the frames I ordered were discontinued. Long story short, Dr.Han and his staff went out of their way to fix it and I ended up walking out with prescription sunglasses a week later. They never once seemed annoyed or put off while helping me. That kind of service is rare these days. read more

I went to Dr. Han to get my eyes checked and order a new pair of frames. Dr. Has was very patient and thorough during the exam. Using his eye model, Dr. Han took the time to answer my questions regarding my eyes and explained the changes that were occurring in my eyes. I had also asked Dr. Han about contacts and he took the time to explain how they would be beneficial and let me try on a pair to determine if I wanted to come back for a contact fitting. Dr. Han tried numerous times to put the contacts in my eyes. It was quite difficult since I have smaller eyes and couldn't stop blinking. Not once did Dr. Han get frustrated or impatient during the process. He kept reassuring me that this was normal for first time users. OK... PART II - Delivery and Fitting A couple days late adding this update. Received a call, email, and text message that my new specs were ready to be picked up. I managed to jet there on my lunch break and had plenty of time to chit-chat a bit before (she) was ready to assist with the fitting and any necessary adjustments. So, I was a tad nervous that what I had ordered was not going to be in the case. (remember, I didn't receive any documentation of my prescription or eyeglass order on my first visit). I was pleased that what I tried on was exactly what had been ordered. Shame on me for doubting. After the fitting, (she) provided me with copies of the warranty, a card with my specific prescription, and a copy of the exam data and purchase information. Nice. I read a recently posted review about some unfortunate bad experience(s) with returns or incorrect orders. I had no issues but also have not had any reason to return for adjustment or otherwise. I do suggest that when making a purchase, read the warranty/disclosure that they ask you to sign. Happy. Now I need time to adjust to the slightly different progressives. read more

I made the trek for the annual eye exam and to no surprise my prescription needed to be a tad bit stronger. The exam by the Dr. was awesome, the office support staff was superb in their treatment. My prescription for the new glasses was on time and upon putting the new glasses on I could see the difference from the old prescription. That in itself is an awesome story these days. But my new frames started slipping on my face noticeably over the next week or two. I made an appointment and went back into the office to see if they could adjust something so the glasses would site and stay where they are supposed to. That is when I met Rachel (I hope I spelled it right) as the person who helped me. In roughly fifteen minutes she determined the frames were faulty, she offered to let me pick any frame I liked and was going to get lenses put in to the new frames in less than a week. She said if you truly like these frames I have another pair and I can put these same lenses in the frame and have them ready in a couple days. I was leaving for a short trip out of town 2 days later so I offered to pick them up upon my return. She called me the next day and said my glasses were ready for pickup! I was shocked, I am used to being promised one thing and having it be a little short, or a day or two late. But to have it done earlier than promised was unheard of. So, I drove back and found the exact same frames with my lenses perfectly cleaned and fitting just as they should. If you can tell I am not used to getting this type of service these days so I am her to share that I will be a long term client of Healthy Eyes Optometry and in large part due to Rachel! read more

I recently had to visit a new optometrist in the El Dorado Hills area when my local office of over twenty year's closed suddenly. Naturally hesitant I went to the local EDH office of Healthy Eyes Optometry and was immediately impressed with the front-office team and staff! They made me feel welcome and comfortable; not easy after having spent the last two decades visiting my old office. The routine eye appointment resulted in a new Rx for vision and glassware. This was all handled professionally and expeditiously which was really impressive because normally I don't like having to pick out new eye frames! Dr. Jing Han's medical knowledge and patience in explaining the results of the eye exam left me with a positive end-cap to an overall score of 10 on a 1 to 10 scale (10 = knocked out of the park). My wife had a broken contact lens stuck in her eye. She met with a few other doctors the last few days who were not able to find the lens.. we could not get a ophthalmologist apptt and called healthy eyes as a last resort. Dr. Han came in sooner than his scheduled time to see my wife, spent the required time, searched diligently in the eye, and was ultimately able to get the broken lens out. I absolutely love their personable staff! They are are very friendly and appreciative that you walked through the door. I have worked in an Opthalmic office and I can tell you that some of the offices can seem like they are just there for a paycheck but Healthy Eyes staff never make you feel that way. My only problem is with CooperVision Contact Lens. They are very inconsistent in size, having tears in them already when you open a fresh pack (dailies), and even inconsistent in how the lens works for your RX. I wish Healthy Eyes didn't promote them because I am paying for it every other week with the DAILIES contacts. I cannot speak on their other products. read more

Came in 25 minutes before close ready with prescription in hand from my wye test earlier in the day, knew exactly what I wanted and was ready to pay. The woman helping me was very rude and didn't want to help me because it takes too long and they didn't want to run past close. It literally took 10 minutes for her to go through everything, and she said it was over $230 but I knew my insurance covered lenses and $125 to frames, there's no way it was $230 more than that and so I said what's all included in that and she said based on your previous purchase history I saw you wanted product/treatment XYZ. I said I'd never purchased glasses here. She was upset and took off the options and it was still $90. I'm in sales and these are shitty sales tactics that lost you a customer. I've been going to Dr. Hahn's office for over 5 years and always have a positive experience with only one exception with a bad frame selection suggested by a staff member -- and that issue was corrected graciously as soon as I asked for help with it. Dr. Hahn is not only super personable, he's got an upbeat vibe, works fast, and spends enough time to take care of everything concerning you. Additionally, he is willing to take pre-health students as interns or entry-level employees so they can learn about the field. I went to another OD (closer to home) for an eye exam and RX glasses. Unfortunately, they could get the frame I wanted--not their fault as the manufacturer said they don't make that model anymore. I decided to go elsewhere and see if I could find the frame. I ended up here, at Healthy Eyes Optometry because they are an authorized Oakley dealer. I decided to get both regular Rx glasses and Rx sunglasses. Kaeli was extremely helpful and assisted me in picking out my Nike Flexon frames. When she didn't know about my particular Oakley sunglasses frame, she was able to get Oakley on the phone, verify the model/part number, and get the correct thing ordered for me quickly. I had been going to an opthomologist for several years and was very satisfied with him, but it became increasingly difficult to get in for an appointment over the years. Healthy Eyes is a sponsor for our cylcing club so I thought I would give them a shot. I had bought some Oakley sport sun glasses from Healthy Eyes in the past, but had not yet used Dr. Han for my eye exam. First of all, they were able to see me within a day or two. The exam was thorough and they used what I thought was the right combo of hi tech equipment combined with great, old school utilitarian equipment. I only know that because I asked a lot of questions during my exam out of curiosity. Dr. Han did a great job telling me about the various pieces and why each piece that he upgraded created value for his patients, and why other old school equipment provided the best ROI for Healthy Eyes and value for patience. It all made perfect sense. I'm going to sound like a kid here, but he answered a lot of questions and showed me what he was seeing throughout the exam, and what he was looking for and why. Not sure why I was so interested; that's not typical for me. But Dr. Han did a great job explaining things. Pretty cool. I felt like I walked away a little smarter and with a better understanding of my eyes. Now, let's talk about Lien (I later found out Lien is Dr. han's wife). She knows her stuff. I was purchasing a pair of progressive lenses for road cycling. This requires an awareness that I had not experienced elsewhere. First of all, she really sold me on Rudy Project. I'm an Oakly guy, big time. But the features she was showing me on the Rudy Project frames were dead on for cycling. I acquiesced and purchased thr Rudy Project frames. Next, Lien worked to ensure that the positioning of the lens progression was correct for a cyclist's head position while in the saddle, riding (near and far sight). I kind-of questioned her approach during the process, but she seemed quite confident, so I rolled with it and took her recommendation. Sure enough, those lenses are dead on. I love them (I've had bad luck with progressive lenses in the past). These are great for distance and perfect for reading my Garmin computer while riding. So here's the kicker... While ordering my cycling glasses, I walked up to the wall and found another perfect pair of regular glasses. I've got a monster-size head, so that NEVER happens. I was reluctant to spend the additional money, but damn, they looked good! Next up, she was dialing in my progressive lenses for the second pair. Once again, I worried whether I'd feel comfortable wearing them as Lien dotted my lenses for positioning (Lien, too, explained how her partially manual method of dotting the lenses is just one step in a 3-step cross-check process that they use to dial-in the placement of the progressive lense gradation. It was interesting because I learned that Healthy Eye's approach, while apearing to be more manual and rudimentary than some of the new-fangled digital eye scanners out there, is actually more thorough and accurate due to a series of cross-checks (eye purchased glasses using both methods). Like Dr. Han, Lien also happily showed me what it looked like to look through the tool she used as part of tthe 2nd step in that process. And once again, with the regular lenses, Lien nailed it. I love 'em and can comfortably wear them for a long time. So I really had no reason to fall in love with Healthy Eyes. My previous doctor was great. Neverthless, my experience at Healthy Eyes locked me in. They have my solid recommendation. read more

I highly recommend Dr Han and his staff! Dr Han is both knowledgeable and personable and good with kids. Dr Han put my 14 yr old son's new lenses in easily and then Kaelie worked patiently with him. She spent over an hour with him, giving him good tips and suggestions. She never made us feel rushed. It was great to see him have success with his new lenses, especially since we had been to another eye doctor who could not help him get them in!
