My mom needed new Rx lenses for her Silhouette frames. If you're familiar with these frames then you know that they have a variety of different shapes and sizes to complement the frames. My mom wanted larger sized lenses for her progressive Rx rather than the current smaller ones. Unfortunately not many places carry the Silhouette brand but they also will not make new lenses if you bring in the frames. I called around and luckily spoke to a very patient and helpful lady who explained the situation regarding the Silhouette brand AND they will make make new lenses for my mom's frames here! Eureka! For those who are wondering why she doesn't just get new frames...this frame is ultra light since it's titanium and super durable cuz my mom has had it for a few decades. It also is her favorite frame so she doesn't want to change them. You know how the 'wiser'/older people don't like change lol. Anywho...we drive up to Folsom from Elk Grove. As soon as we walk in we're greeted warmly and with a smile. I again explain our predicament regarding my mom's frames. Ashley kindly guides us to the section that displays what we need. She patiently gives us advice, answers questions and does a lot of measuring and consulting. Needless to say she spends quite a bit of time with mom carefully measuring for the new lenses. My mom commented that she's never had anyone take such care with her measurements before. Poor Ashley... she was done with my mom but then it was my turn. She took at least an hour or so combing the internet searching for some frames for me. It had to be within specific parameters since I'm extremely nearsighted with astigmatism, need nose pads, light weight frames (preferably titanium), full frame, certain shape and size, etc. She was brain storming with the other nice lady in the office trying to find some suitable frames. They were busy in there with patients coming and going but we never felt rushed or shorted on customer service. Kudos to these ladies who delved out superb customer service with patience, humor and smiles ! Parking was easy and plentiful. They had great 80s music playing softly in the background that I quietly jammed to while browsing through the vast variety of frames. I'll definitely whisk my mom back to this establishment from Elk Grove. She was treated with kindness and patience which speaks volumes. The customer service was so amazing that i didn't have any issues whatsoever with the service or product that i purchased. I am deaf and i had very nice dialogue with the employee who was working at front desk at the time and i didn't have any issues with communication as they was very polite and very patient with me. They got me very nice glasses and i dig my new looks and i can see very clearly and I would recommend people this business. I had such a good experience here! I have a very difficult time finding glasses that don't look bad on me. I've used Target, Kaiser, and Costco in the past and even though I always picked the best ones I could find, I was never happy with the glasses I ended up with. The selection here far surpasses the others. I couldn't believe how many options I had to choose from! The customer service was amazing and my glasses arrived in less than a week. I've been coming here for years. last year, I made an appointment. day of, they call to cancel. I work 3 jobs and took a day off specifically for this appointment. that was around December 2024. I rescheduled for the EDH location. it's now end of August. it happens to be my sons birthday so I took the day off and figured I could get my eye exam while he was in school. I signed up online, confirmed appointment. and they cancel AGAIN, the night before my appointment. unfortunately I won't be able to continue care with this office due to their complete lack of regard for people's time and schedules. read more

Dr. Bui is great and I have been coming here for almost 10 years but a recent experience won't have me coming back. I miss the old staff. I had made an appt. for a contacts exam. Someone called me and told me that my insurance said I was ineligible. I called back to clarify. When I called, she said I was ineligible for anything. If that was true, that's fine, but it's the way she continued the conversation. I said I hadn't been there since last year and she basically told me that I was mistaken and I probably went to another office. I said no, it was definitely last year and I only go to the one in Folsom. She continued to tell me I was wrong because they didn't have record of it. I pulled out my receipt and then of course she says, "Yea, I see you came last year." I said, "So you DO have record of it?" She said, "I thought you meant materials." Girl, YOU called ME about the exam. I was so annoyed by the end of it. I also found out they tried to charge me twice last year and the 2nd time, I wasn't even in town. read more

My old optician of choice sold out to a big chain, and they are no longer as accommodating as they once were. In truth, they took a turn for the downright obnoxious. Site for Sore Eyes was much closer to my home, so I thought I'd give them a try. They are simply amazing! Excellent service and selection ! My entire family ( Wife, Son, & Myself ) have used their services for multiple purchases. I think we're approaching about 6 pairs of "specs" as a family. Once, they even custom ordered in a pair I found from another "online" retailer, the pricing was, surprisingly, competitive. They accept all the major forms of insurance, including VSP Vision Care. Another plus is that they stand behind your purchases, making adjustments and lens improvements, as needed. They have even installed lenses from frames not purchased from them. My "hipster" son buys retro and vintage frames and they are able to install his prescription, without any hassle or trouble. This is the best place to get your eyeglasses prescription filled. The whole staff is helpful. I've worked with Ashley, and she is one of the best folks I've met when it comes to customer service. Similarly to a former reviewer, I created a Yelp log-in just to write this review... I was BLOWN AWAY by the amazing level of customer service provided by the entire staff at Site for Sore Eyes in Folsom! In an era of less personal/more computer-driven customer service (or "agents" that read/memorize standard generic customer service lines/responses), the wonderfully personable and helpful people here were a breath of fresh air! I got two pair of sunglasses, due to their coupon deal at the time (and since I was replacing an expensive pair of polarized Rx sunglasses that found their way into the river irretrievably)... I figured it better to have a back up pair should that happen again in future adventures. My order was a particularly challenging one, I think, due to issues with the frame I chose accommodating the polarized lenses I needed. This was accentuated by my very particular nature and me having an especially difficult time making a decision on the second pair. Not only were they EXTREMELY patient with my long decision process on one pair... but when there were issues with the frames of the other pair, they absolutely went above and beyond to make sure I got a very nice replacement frame & lens combo I was completely satisfied with... that fit my lifestyle/needs for that pair seamlessly. To top the cake, when I had issues with the lens color/look of the first pair after they arrived (due to no fault of theirs), they pushed the service bar even higher, doing additional custom color work and such until I was completely happy. Their patience and desire to make sure the customer is truly satisfied is absolutely amazing!! Issues with products do happen in any industry, customer service makes all the difference. Because of the complications causing multiple visits, I had occasion to be helped by the entire staff and, without exception, these wonderful people do EVERYTHING possible/reasonable to make sure their clients are comfortable and happy with the glasses and lenses they provide. Very pleasant and efficient staff. (Mostly) My frames had to be ordered but they said I could pick them up, get measured, and wait while they assembled them. I asked if Saturday was ok, they said yes. I went in for my glasses Saturday, got measured, and they said "We'll call you in a half hour to come pick them up" I wandered Target until I got a call one hour later "what time did she tell you? She hasn't started yet why don't you call back in an hour?" Since I didn't have another hour to waste, I asked them to send them to Roseville instead where it's more convenient to pick up. She said that's fine "it's too late to get them in today but I'll get them there Monday." Monday I went to Roseville, but no glasses had arrived. I called Folsom and they said they didn't say they'd be there Monday, but rather that they would put them in the mail Monday. (Not true but since she chose to dangle antecedents over introducing a new verb (mail), I thought the glasses would be "there" as in Roseville, not "there" as in mail. Because grammatically she clearly said that. The miscommunication was understandable, but her response was NOT. The woman interrupted me to continue talking about how I was wrong, and talked over me when I tried to respond. I have never in my life had to hang up on a business before. Still no glasses and the lack of respect for me and my time ensures I will never be back. read more

I came here after wearing glasses for 5 years. After doing the letter exam, that was all, mind you, she said I don't need glasses. I should probably see a doctor if I'm getting headaches. It's definitely not my eyes. But she had me pick glasses out anyway. We'll two years later, I broke them so I went to a different doctor. Not only did he run 6 different exams, he showed me the pescription she gave me compared to the actual one I need. I was blind with glasses!!!! She has no idea what she's doing here. I came here due to buying a Groupon. The ladies that help you at the counter are very nice and very helpful with choosing glasses. I picked out 2 pairs after I told her what style I was looking for. She was nice enough to choose a bunch of pairs for me to try on and was very patient while I was trying to decide. I got to my appointment way too early so I just kinda chilled and looked around. Picked out frames and filled out paperwork while waiting for the optometrist. The optometrist was really cool and decided to have me come back since I have diabetes and she said my eyesight is drastically different than my glasses I currently have. She wants to make sure my sight doesn't change again. So in 2 weeks I go back to get them checked again. Did a great job on some lenses for a set of designer glasses. They came out perfect and indistinguishable from the originals.

Don't waste your time or money at this place. They deal in fraudulent advertising practices. They advertise 1/2 half off frames, but that is only if one buys their lens. The price of the lens is where you are screwed. For progressive lens they will cost you $300 and you can get the same lens for $129 at Costco. Their ad in their window for 1/2 off frames does not say anything about having to buy their lens........shop somewhere else and at a store that does not do false and misleading advertising. read more

After calling around they offered me the lowest price which was exactly the same price as on 1800 contacts and I'm a firm believer in buying local whenever possible, so eff 1800 contacts, just go here.
