Customer service here is great. The staff was welcoming and helped give me recommendations for probiotics for my little puppy. They showed me around the store and gave my pup a few sample treats hehe! Thank you! Beautiful, clean, and big space. They have tons of treat and food options. They also sell goat milk in the fridge, goat milk cookies, collagen puffs, and so much more natural, organic, and unique brands that I've not come across before. Cute merchandise too to dress up your dog or get doggie home supplies! Great return policy. If you don't like anything just come back and return/ exchange. When I picked my up dog from daycare they told me he had horrible stomach issues and was vomiting all day. I thought they were insinuating that it was his fault so I assured them that I only feed him the food brands from their store. And they actually recommended that I euthanize him! So I took him to the vet I've taken him to for years and they recommended the same thing! The stomach virus went away in a couple days!!!! It was so sad because they usually love jack, and he was getting so acquainted with all the dogs! And the grooming is great!! I have visited healthy spot twice, and had a great experience both times! I order my dog food from open farm for delivery, but sometimes I procrastinate and order once they've run out. I decided to come by and grab a healthy kibble while I waited for my delivery. To my surprise, healthy spot carried open farm! I was able to pick a bag up and some wet food for my cat. I also saw that they had doggy day care and the dogs seemed very happy! I would definitely recommend healthy spot for all healthy options for your fur babies! read more

The major issues began at checkout and escalated due to the complete lack of follow-up resolution. Incorrect Billing & Abrupt Hostility: I had reserved the basic $55 bath for each dog (total $110), but the register charged me $65 each (total $130). The difference was $20 for an unrequested and unexplained service. When I politely questioned the female cashier about this error, her attitude immediately became extremely curt and disrespectful. Inappropriate Staff Conduct & Anxiety: While I was dealing with the billing dispute, another male staff member asked if he could touch my dogs, and I agreed. However, while interacting with them, he then inappropriately inserted himself by saying, "These breed dogs are expensive, aren't they?" The comment immediately made me feel uneasy--I even felt the urge to explain that my dogs are not "expensive" because I had rescued them. Combined with the cashier's rudeness, this created a strong feeling of anxiety and urgency to remove my dogs from the premises immediately. Complete Silence on Resolution: I paid the $130 to expedite our exit, immediately emailing and texting a detailed refund request for the $20 overcharge within one hour of leaving. To date, I have received zero response. This is unacceptable, especially since their booking texts were instantly answered. Conclusion: Trust is Broken - A Warning to Pet Owners I am deeply concerned about the integrity and management of this location. The $20 overcharge and subsequent silence raise serious questions about staff competence, or worse, potential employee misconduct (e.g., unauthorized charges/pocketing the difference). If they completely ignore a simple financial error, I have no confidence in their ability to handle a pet emergency. I cannot entrust my beloved dogs (My babies...) to a business whose staff exhibits this level of disrespect and neglect. I strongly advise caution and will never return for any service. read more

Healthy Spot carries good food, low calorie treats (pug is on a weight loss program), and good chews. Ziwi venison half-shanks are hard to find, but Healthy Spot has them, and they last for months. Tiffany was very helpful and knowledgeable, she took the time to help me pick out a food and explained the benefits of certain products to help my dog eat healthier (my dog is having issues with her stomach). I was worried because my dog is very picky but the fact that you can let your dog try it and return or exchange the food if it wasn't satisfactory is great too. I have to be honest I have not been in Healthy Spot for years it definitely has a different feel than I remember. I came in looking for treats with my nervous pup(afraid he was getting groomed). I was greeted and then watched by employee standing behind cas wrap. My pup was ignored, I had selected a few treats but looking for more I approached the counter and inquired about the "pup cup" refrigerator items I was told she thought they were $13, and then went to look at the laptop behind the counter. I thought she was verifying the price but no she was no longer interested I ended up buying a bag of treats as I needed a quick gift no assistance was offered even though my pup was struggling trying to get out of the "scary" place. I wish I had followed his lead but bought the treats since I had walked over a mile. Sad customer service is low everywhere these days but I truly expected more from Healthy Spot. read more

This is only re the groomers. I've been going to this company for 10 years for nail trimming and today is Saturday and they said we need to see rabies vaccination papers in order to do the trimming!!!!! Wth? They said they would call my vet and of coarse being Saturday the vet is not in. I said in 10 years you're never asked for this (no other nail trims elsewhere have asked either) They said they just changed the policy this week.... Ummmmm hello?! Give me some grace then! I'm a LONG time customer with your company and I'm only getting a nail trim, why on earth would you turn us away!? Not only will I never come back I will let everyone I know this is how they treated us! Absolutely unacceptable! When I told the cashier what happened he was very shocked that they turned us away! He said "for a nail trim??? That's weird!" I personally felt the groomer (Latina, long hair, tattoos) was discriminating against me, she was rude from the second I walked in there without knowing our rabies status! She was unfriendly to my dog and the entire experience was very unpleasant! There are no other groomers in this area so I now have to drive to another town! What a waste of time all for pettiness! This has absolutely been the worst grooming experience I have ever had for my dog. They previously told me a couple times that my dog was completely matted and that they had to give him a full body haircut very very short, which wasn't true. I made sure that my dog was very thoroughly brushed and not matted at all. Again they called me and say my dog is matted and that they will be charging a $55 fee. My dog is also nine or 10 pounds. When I told them that that's not true, they tell me that he is matted at other places. So first they lied to me and say it's all over and then it's some places. And then they say that I have to sign a waiver regarding the matting on my dog or else they cannot do the haircut. They wanted me to sign a matting waiver. customer service is absolutely horrible. The Topanga location recently closed down so I think they are hurting for cash and charging people $55 for a 9 pound dog as a matting fee on top of the 120 $130 haircut and bath. This place is a scam saver money go anywhere else. read more

I came to this Healthy Spot for small dog daycare. Sadly, my dog outgrew the size requirements/weight limit, but she loved her time there. Every day she would bust into the store doors excited for daycare, and I could tell from the pics the team sent home that she had a ton of fun with the other dogs. The team was a godsend - letting me know if they noticed behavior or symptoms that might require a vet visit, reminding me of upcoming vaccinations coming due, etc. I always felt so comfortable leaving my dog here, and I have a hard time trusting her with just anyone. This HS location and crew are lifesavers!! Hands down best customer service I've ever experienced compared to different locations. Plus, Nancy is the BEST!! I recently took my cocker to her first ever groom at the Beverly Grove location (she always had a mobile groomer) and we did not get the cut we were looking for after showing pictures and explaining . I felt really bad asking if they can take her back and trim the sideburns the groomer left on and if they could smooth out her head and ears. Needless to say, they hand trimmed and did not smooth out the head or ears the second time around. So, thankfully HS Studio City came to the rescue for some fixing. Not only did they make time for us but they were so present. Nancy made her look like a proper cocker. The vibe, the energy, and the attitudes were positive and so different in Studio City too. Everyone was SO friendly and laughing and having a good time. I loved that. It didn't feel forced, fake or super awkward and weird. Working with pups should be fun! As a fly on the wall I loved that my pup was in a wholesome, fun, positive and happy environment. Customers can definitely tell when something's off and so can pups. Was really in awe of this place when we initially found it, took our pups in and everyone was dying over them. The main groomer offered us her services, she said there was a first time discount and that it would be low priced anyways since our dogs were so little. We agreed and after their first grooming, we didn't really see a difference. Some of our family members even stated that the dogs didn't look or smell any different but we figured it was just a very subtle good job. We went in again for a 2nd time because our dogs really liked the groomers and we wanted them to feel comfortable. We were aware that we wouldn't get the first time discount. However, we didn't expect to pay almost $120 for a shower and paw trimming for dogs under 15 pounds. We tried to talk to the groomer but she seemed super confused and was talking about a bunch of different services that we never asked for. She brought out the main groomer who confirmed that we were charged extra because of the different services. We informed them that we didn't request anything extra and they told us to be more specific. We ended this with them offering us a discount on our next grooming because they decided to believe us when we told them that we never requested the extra services and that was supposed to be that. But then they LATER gave us a phone call letting us know that they wouldn't give us the discount because those extra services were performed because of their breed, without our asking or approval. Reading other reviews I see that they generally love to upcharge people. I suggest going to local, small businesses instead of big brands like this. read more

The worst grooming experience. I'm so sad to see my poor baby look the way she does. I was in a rush when I came to pick my dog up, otherwise I would have complained at how bad her haircut is. However I called two day later and I was told the manager wasn't in and "maybe" she would call me back the following day. I never received a call back. Poor grooming and poor customer service. My dog looks nothing like the example pictures. Not sure how they do on other dogs but definitely no idea what they are doing when grooming a yorkie. $110 is such a waste of money for what what my dog received. After looking at several other daycare centers, I can easily say that Healthy Spot is the best place ever. The human to dog ration is higher, and since it is a small dog daycare, the size is perfect, and they receive so much individualized attention. Healthy Spot has really gotten to know my dog, Ripley. She's a character, and they understand her and nurture her. She tries to open the door herself to get in there! The daycare manager Victoria is a dog guru. She emits such positive energy. The entire daycare staff is divine. I adore everyone in retail as well. They are so knowledgeable and kind. For grooming we've seen Adan, Mari and Amanda are all fantastic. This review is mainly for the grooming services. We have two dogs Finn and Popeye. We started coming here since 2018 when I first moved to the valley. Popeye has fine curly hair that gets matted easily and I found that Healthy Spot did a great job getting fluffed up & clean. Finn is a rescue dog and very particular about who he allows to touch him. When I first moved, I actually used to drive down to our old groomer so he could stay in his comfort zone. With that said though, I took a chance to bring Finn to Healthy Spot, and we have been seeing Amanda since 2021 and she's been the BEST for grooming. Not only does she do an amazing job on the cut & style but she has such a great attitude and really cares for the pups she grooms. It is expensive especially with the special handling fee but it's definitely worth it knowing that our dog is in good hands. Because of the high prices, we do not bring Popeye here as often to get groomed but we just got him brought him in yesterday and Amanda did such a great job - he's so freakin cute!! Lol. I might be a little biased. I haven't used the daycare services but I have used the Pawty services for Gotcha Day parties! For a fee, you can rent the daycare room on the weekend. You do have to reserve a bit in advance but it is very easy. There is a limit on people who can be in the area (although not sure if this was a COVID restriction or regular one). They have an attendant to take care of the party goers and also they give you a table so you can display your favors and gifts. For our party they gave us little doggy popsicles. They even let you decorate! Everyone had a blast. The store is a bit on the pricey side. I think of it as the Whole Foods for dogs. I do like the Healthy Spot branded treats (Mind Body Bowl) liked the freeze dried chicken and beef treats. They also carry different varieties of CBD forms and treats. Very helpful for our pup Finn. Another plus is that parking is super easy and there's a lot of other stores very closeby. Great for running errands! read more

An absolute 5 star. I can't even explain how happy I am with everything. Every person who works there is a sweetheart. I have always been treated with warm smile and felt really welcoming every single time that I have been there. Not to mention that my little boy "Mr. FelFel" loves the place. He is a character and very hard to deal with, but he loves to go there and spend the day. Unfortunately, I am pretty bad with names and I am sorry if I don't remember everyone's name to mention, but do know that Vicky is a real GEM. It's always nerve wracking leaving your dog for a few hours, but for some reason my dog Osito always felt at ease with Ryan, so he had my trust. I brought my spitz in for a trim in February after having ok experiences at other locations but a pretty good experience at this location so was happy to bring him back. I asked to clean him op to get rid of the strays and what not and when I picked him up he had clearly been shaved. His entire top coat had been cut off. I was so shocked after paying $130 that I couldn't even say anything. I emailed and called twice and left a voicemail with no reply. I finally got ahold of someone two days later that said she was the manager but the groomer wasn't in that day so they'd ask and call me back. I didn't get a call back. My dogs coats is so dry now and the top coat is not growing back normally :( Pretty annoying that it's so expensive but then having your dog coming out looking not even like your dog anymore is upsetting. read more

The associate helped me to find a food that was closest to Royal Canin which wasn't an easy task. She also assisted in offering insight on shampoos for his itchy skin and suggested the hydrating shampoo by healthy spot which smells divine. Picked up some birthday treats for the boy and because he was celebrating his birthday, one of the special treats was on the house and I found a generous $10 off birthday coupon in the shopping bag upon my return with all the goodies. Today, we had Sage, Josh and Sultan working on the 3 k9 kids and I showed each awesome groomer a pic of what I wanted for each one and they delivered, if not more than what I'd expected.
