Best place to go for a massage for $30 bucks. The massage is an all body that consists of 60 mins!!!!!! Always go there when i feel beat.

Highly recommended. It reminded me of one of my favorite foot spas in NYC. It's clean, peaceful and the massages are great. I got the 60-min foot massage, but they also do arms, back, legs and scalp. (The scalp massage is great, but you may want to ask them to skip it if your hair is done and you're going out after. It gets pretty messed up!) They take credit cards but prefer cash. And though the prices are low ($28/hr for the hour long foot massage), you should plan to tip $10-$15. Excellent experience. I've come to find reflexology massage far more effective than traditional massage for getting rid of aches and pains. So when I saw this come up on Groupon I bought it. I would give 0 star if that was an option. The lady at the front was plain rude. This place was cheap and good before but now its still same price but the service sucks. The last time I went they gave me someone who was a total beginner so I had to ask them to switch for someone more professional. The lady gave me an upset look when I asked for the switch...I just want to say I should be the one upset! Now this time you gave me someone who suck too and the lady in the front had the nerve to ask for more tip....when tip is optional but just cause she was so rude I'm not even giving a dollar. First time trying the 60 min reflexology and loved it. The space has a big room with multiple massage tables and a few private rooms. The big room that's shared with other people is totally not weird at all- you'll be too relaxed and calm to even notice. They play calming music and the lights are dimmed. You also keep your clothes on and you're covered with a towel- so I recommend wearing very comfy clothes! Staff is very friendly and accommodating! Will def be coming back here again. read more

Truly a 4.5 just because it's smaller and there has been a wait every time I went - call ahead! They do everything right here: good pressure, listen to your needs and friendly. Great massage. They do a great job of creating a relaxing atmosphere. I almost dozed off a few times. They do massage over the clothes so I recommend wearing loose legged pants so they can massage your full leg. Same for the arms. Also don't wear any or too much makeup because they massage the face and head as well. They do a good job of tailoring the pressure to your needs. I did find it a bit awkward that they flat out ask for a tip. Most people tip for these services anyway but they make sure you don't walk out of the door without tipping so bring cash. read more

Wish i liked it. The whole time during my massage, it was painful. There was a total of maybe 10 min relaxation. I feel almost more stressed out afterwards because I was gritting my teeth or tensing my whole body while I got the massage. I just couldn't handle it, and I have a high pain threshold. I would say your experience will vary depending on who you get. My lady put way too much pressure on the tip of her thumbs- it felt like I was being stabbed. I asked for softer pressure a couple times but it was still intense. She was nice, but I gave a lot less tip than I was planning. read more

Fantastic massage by Ivy. I had previously had the 30 and 60 minute Reflexology, but have since upgraded to 60 minute Combination massage. Instead of being performed in the comfy, large room, a small private room is used, as this massage requires clothing removal. Ivy has the perfect pressure massage, works on my problem areas, and no muscle is left untouched. She works on me, head to toe, finishing with an out of this world scalp massage. I highly recommend the spa and Ivy. The waiting area is no frills, but the Zen atmosphere and soothing music is a much needed relaxation. No walk-ins, must make an appointment. Great prices. The massage was great and cheap! It was only $29 for an hour of the "foot massage" which was actually a full body massage! My masseuse used a non-scented moisturizer that didn't feel sticky and would check to make sure the pressure was okay. Came to Chicago to visit my daughter and she treated me to an hour long massage. Probably the best massage I've ever had! The pressure was hard - but not too hard - and she worked out a number if knots in my neck and back. I left feeling wonderful! This is a no frills, nothing fancy, but glorious massage. I am not sure about the some of the service industry people's attitude in Chicago but they just don't seem to like it. Its just so strange. We were 5 mins late. Granted I know you want to close on time but to rell us to come back another day or if if we have to do it today, then we can only do 50 min. Are you charging us less? We were stuck in that tunnel traffic for 30mins, if we didn't need a massage, we wouldn't come. Great Value for a no frills, high quality experience. If you haven't been to this style of foot massage joint, this is the type of foot spa where there is one main room with several specialized chairs. You remain fully clothed, and will be all other patrons in the same room. They keep it dark, and fairly quiet aside from the soft music playing in the background, so it's still very relaxing. About half the hour is devoted to your feet and lower legs, and the other half to your back, shoulders, head and neck. read more

I've been going for months but not going back again. The massage is usually good but the receptionist is rude every time I visit. During my last visit, I specifically asked for a shoulder massage, but in the middle of the massage they randomly started to unzip my skirt. I love this place! The first time I went I had no idea what to expect. I got the foot massage which is actually a full body massage but you aren't in a private room and you keep your clothes on. You walk into a dimly lit room and there are 5 very large comfy chairs. They start by putting your feet in warm water to get rid of toxins while they massage your shoulders, head and upper body. Then you flip on your stomach and they massage the rest of the body. The pressure was phenomenal and every time I go I swear they know exactly what areas need more work! As a person who loves all things no nonsense I have to say that Healthy Zu was for me. It was very straight forward. They knew why I was there and promptly gave me what I wanted. No waiting, no talking, no paperwork, no changing of clothes...I was in heaven. There was something peaceful about being in a big open room relaxing in unity with others (that sentence was so zen!). Great massage, awful and incredibly rude receptionist. Don't make us wait for 20 min to check out and then yell at us for making any noise. I also don't understand the tipping system. Charge more for the massage if you're not paying your staff... we were confused and left a customary 20% tip to find out that they expect a $20+ tip on a 28 dollar massage... this is very confusing and I felt bad afterwards like I cheated the massage therapist by leaving a normal tip. I'm not sure where else the standard tip is 70% but this is weird. read more

Amazing massage! So relaxing, my only complaint was the girl massaging me had a cold so her breathing and sniffling was a little distracting. $29 for a full hour of glorious body kneading? yes please! They do tend to go heavy on the pressure (how I prefer it), but they can adjust towards your preference. The person working on me always asks if the pressure is okay a few times throughout the session. I think it was about 10 minutes of head/shoulder massage, 20 minutes of feet/legs, 10 minutes on the arms, then you flip over and another 20 minutes for a back massage. One time I had a smaller lady working on me and she literally was crawling on my back. The room has a few other beds so it's not private and you keep your clothes on. Only complaint I would have is the reception area is right next door and sometimes you can hear people speaking. Bring cash for tip (I usually leave about $12-$15) and you can get a punch card (10 sessions gets you one free) read more
