I hate to leave negative reviews, but I feel my experience with Heart of Texas Armory it's warranted. I placed an order for a Dead Air Xeno muzzle brake on 03/07/2024. A week or so goes by with no update to my order from its initial "Processing" status. I reach out to what I presume to be the owner, Neal, on the website's chat messenger on 03/12/24. Neal responds the same day that they are waiting on the muzzle brake from Dead Air, and I should expect it in a week or 2. I continue to wait and nothing arrives, with my order status still in "processing" status. On 03/25/24 I reach back out on chat again to Neal, no response. I then email Neal on his business email on 03/26/24, and no response. Finally on 03/28/24 I emailed him one final time stating I wanted a refund and I am initiating a chargeback with my credit card company. After reading some of their Google Reviews, this is definitely a drop shipper, or a very small inventory seller. They probably mean well, but they are just in over their heads. I went ahead and ordered a replacement Dead Air Muzzle Brake from another retailer the day I initiated the chargeback and they had it in the mail within 3 hours of completing the purchase. read more

I tried to order a pair of Sig Sauer Zulu 6 10x30 binoculars here because the website said they were in stock and the price was good, so I did. It turned out to be a BIG mistake and a huge waste of my time. After nothing happened for 3 days, I finally contacted them, and they told me the binoculars were not in stock after all. They said they could upgrade them to the more expensive HDX model but low and behold they didn't have them in stock either, and they would have to get them from their supplier which would take 2 more days. At this point, I just cut my losses and ordered the binocular I originally wanted from a seller that HAD them in stock and cancelled my order with Heart of Texas Armory after wasting a week messing around with them. This seller appears to be what I call a catalog store, or they don't have much in stock and every time you order from them, they have to get or order the item from their supplier. I was trying to get away from ordering at Amazon.com all the time, but this turned out be just a big waste of time. At least at Amazon.com, I get what I ordered quickly. Not what you'd expect from a Texas company, maybe they're transplants from NYC. Lol The prices on the surface are very reasonable. They are however extremely slow which is NOT a NYC trait. Ordering a product was like a 3 stage ordering process. You order your item, you get a confirmation, then a notification the next day that confirmation is needed. You answer a email, then you get a text from someone there that everything now is cool and they will ship your item? Sounds like they've been scammed? The item arrives, shipping is free but they upsell you on shipping insurance. The insurance was around $3 so sure. If you open the package and everything is as you expected, great you have just saved a couple of bucks...awesome! But if your item is broken, sold...used....returned item, or if it just sucks.....not so southernly hospitable as before. I'd know this because I come from good Virginia stock and spent time in TX training with the USAF. They are not rude, they just don't communicate with you. No notifications that they received your item, no updates on your refund, not so quick like before to answer a text message from you (if at all). They have received my return 6 days ago and I haven't heard a word. Haven't even heard crickets. I texted them earlier (the company, not the crickets)....nothing. It's plain to see that money is more important to them than customer service. The secret is that if customer service is exceptional, more money usually follows in the form of repeat business or even supply contracts. Maybe by the time I came along they decided they made enough money and decided to dial it back on their current success? But they did lose a good repeat customer that buys thousands of dollars worth of equipment a year for outdoor hobbies. Being a born again Texan, I just expected more.... Damn those expectations. Oh, in my case, I got a used/defective item and got stuck with the return postage fee and was out my shipping insurance fee to boot. So at the end of the day I lost money in shipping and insurance fees, I don't have the item and my $219.00 refund is MIA while everyone at this company has developed expressive aphasia like Bruce Willis?
