Wings (charred bbq) They look better than they were
    Sammy K.

Food was so-so... The hot pepper dip was great and the white four cheese pizza was delightful. The down fall was with the wings. The wings are not fried. They're either baked or microwaved. On top of the horrible order of wings... the blue cheese was horrid. It was soooo watered down that it would drip off the wing like rain to an umbrella. The service started off great but slowly declaimed as the place filled up with others. It took a while to get a refill on our drinks. The restaurant itself is cute and the restrooms were clean. It filled quickly around the dinner hour. I've been to many shows and passed by this place a lot always wanting to try it. I think, I'll be back at some point and when I do I'll stick with the pizza. I definitely won't go out of my way to come back here. All in all... very mid for what I was hoping to be an amazing experience.

    TooGoodToGo order

For context, "Too Good To Go" is an app used by stores to sell food at the end of the day that would have been thrown out, in order to reduce food waste. Today after a long day of work I was craving pizza, and good pizza not from a chain store, so I placed an order using this app, which was $4.99, and $5.43 after tax. The pickup window was from 8:00 to 9:00 pm and I came at 8:52. I tell the lady at the counter that I have a TooGoodToGo order, and she tells me, and a lady who came in a few seconds after me, to show her our phones and swipe for TooGoodToGo. Strange, I thought we were supposed to swipe that AS she was giving us our surprise bags. But I did so, and she told me to have a seat while they get it ready. Only in retrospect did I realize she probably made us swipe so we wouldn't back out after seeing/feeling how little food we would get. As soon as I picked up the bag, I knew something was terribly wrong. The bag was light as a feather, not even half a pound, and I work in a deli weighing meat constantly, so I KNOW. In my head i'm hoping there's at least TWO slices of pizza and not one.. I open it as I'm a few steps away from the restaurant and see that they gave me seven small pieces of dry, cold garlic bread. I didn't choose a PIZZA place for garlic bread, and now i wasted a combined 40 mins on the bus, $4 on bus fare, and $5.43 on seven pieces of not even cheese bread, but just a third of a flatbread with some garlic paste smeared on it. The strangest thing? A few minutes after I took a seat, and the bags were ready, I heard the lady at the counter say to the man who just prepared the food, "this is for him?" and the man said yeah, and then the lady gave me the bag. Me and the other woman got the exact same $5 bag, and I know that since i just checked the app and all they're selling for tomorrow are also $5 bags. So why did he specify that this bag was for me?? If they had no pizza they could have just told me and I would have asked for a refund then. But instead they threw a few pieces of garlic bread into a bag and thinks it's worth $5.43.. And I also don't understand why it took five minutes to "prepare" my order, but the bread was still cold so it's not as if he reheated them or anything. If this is how they treat TooGoodToGo customers then they shouldn't be using the app at all. Except they wouldn't do that because then who would they sell seven pieces of their cold garlic bread to for $5!! The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I will never be back here to spend another cent at all and I recommend you do the same.

Food was great, and service was excellent. My husband and I previously ate here on a date night, and most recently brought our 13 and 7 year olds. There was no kids' menu, which was fine because 7 year old enjoyed the spaghetti and meatballs and kiddie cocktail!

Service + Recovery = Not here I called this location from my downtown hotel, and asked did they sell pizza by the slice and how much was it. The young lady on the phone without hesitation answers and says, "Yes we do and it will be 4.25 per slice". I asked specifically did they have pepperoni slices and she indicated, "Yes, it's $4.25". I said thank you, I'm right up the street and hung up. I leave my hotel immediately, (The Embassy Suites which is less than a 10 min walk away). When I enter the Hearth + Press there is one man behind the counter. I walk to the iPad to place my order to-go for the slice. He says, "we dont have anymore slices". He never spoke to me when I walked in, and I never mentioned to him I wanted to order a slice. I explained to him I just spoke to someone about the single slices of pizza, and a young woman told me they had them 10 minutes ago. He said she's in the bathroom and will be out shortly. The young lady comes out and doesn't acknowledge me, or explain why she lied on the phone. The guy behind the counter about 5 mins after that says, "are you going to order something?" I respond that I did a want a slice of pizza, now I'm trying to warm up and find somewhere else to go eat. It's freezing outside, with flurries and high winds. The lack of service recovery was absolutely atrocious. No accountability for misinformation or apologies to be found. I didn't want anything for free, I came to pay for food and leave. Pro tip: Skip this place, and try Osteria 166. Very good wood fired pizza, and I got the chicken parm to go! Most importantly the customer service was top notch.

    Pepperoni and Basil pizza

As far as pizza in Buffalo it's the most decent I've had. Good sauce. Good ingredients. Dough got a bit soggy toward the end so maybe the ovens gotta be warmer to get that nice crunch on the crust. The space is actually so nicely set next to the Main Street with steady foot traffic, giving the inside a more alive feel. Staff is friendly at the register but be sure to grab your own napkins and be prepared to be ignored if you ask for parmesan.

    chicken + mushroom penne

Food was great! We ordered the white 4-cheese pizza and chicken + mushroom penne. Both were well made. Our server was very nice, and we appreciate having been fit in without a reservation and on a night before Shea's. Lovely restaurant, it feels nice without being intimidating.

The food here is ridiculously good. We get the four cheese honey pizza every time we go, and we are OBSESSED. The service is great and the ambiance too as it's right across from the Sheas Theatre!

This hidden gem has quickly turned into my go to place for lunch in downtown Buffalo. Their pizza has a thin airy crust and the ratio of cheese and sauce is perfect. They cook their pizza in wood burning stove which adds to the flavor.

Love that the crust is thin and the mushrooms were delicious! The service was super quick during the lunch hour.

We made a reservation for dinner at 7:45 and we were surprised when we walked in that we were the only people there. The food was delicious, albeit a bit pricey. The pizzas were really tasty and the crust was delicious. Our waiter said his favorite dishes were the pizza and pasta we were ordering (3 meat pasta and fungi pizza) and suggested we add salami or prosciutto to our pizza so we added salami and were glad for the recommendation. The appetizers were a bit small and pricey but everything was really tasty. The meatballs were really delicious. Our waiter was very attentive until it came time to get the check but we were in no hurry so it was fine. Then it pass

We stopped here for a bite to eat before seeing a Show at the Tralf. Was hands down the best old fashioned I have ever had. My boyfriend ordered a margarita and enjoyed it. We had the special grandmas pie and it was amazing. The olives were good and the roasted veggies were good albeit mushroom heavy. Great ambiance and friendly staff. I only Wish this place was closer, we be regulars.

Wow. Hands down some of the best pizza we've had…read more We ordered the San Felice Pizza -- San Marzano tomatoes, house-made sausage, sweet and spicy peppers, onion, buffalo mozzarella, and fresh basil -- and it was absolute perfection. The flavors don't compete... they melt together into one big, perfect masterpiece. The peppers leaned sweet (no real heat), which made them the ideal companion to the delicious sausage. And that sausage? Made in-house and seasoned beautifully, with the perfect amount of fennel -- enough to give it that classic Italian character without overpowering the pie. Perfection! The buffalo mozzarella added creamy richness, the basil kept everything bright, and the San Marzano tomatoes were clean and balanced. We love pizza in all its forms -- New York style and Napoli alike -- but there is something about the rustic goodness of true Neapolitan pizza that has a special place in my pizza-loving heart. That airy, soft center and char-kissed crust from the wood-fired oven is magic. The use of such fresh ingredients makes Forno Napoli my favorite pizza on NY so far - authentic and intentional. There is a lot of love and pride in everything from the handmade crust to all of the toppings. They also serve a garlic butter and cheese dipping sauce for the crust -- indulgent and completely unnecessary in the BEST possible way. That blistered crust dipped in that sauce? Unreal. The cheese? Yes, they have the most beautiful wheel of pecorino they hand grate from to make this happen. No green shaker bottles here! We met Felix, the owner, and he was incredibly welcoming. He has such great energy -- warm, engaging, and clearly passionate. You can tell he's the heartbeat behind the recipes and the success of the business. It feels personal. He made us want to share just how great our entire experience was and he certainly made us want to return. Our only regret? We were too full to try another pizza. Do not hesitate. This truly is a slice of heaven.

When you're ready to order, head up to the counter. After ordering, head back to your seat and the will bring you your food when it's ready. My friend had the meatball sandwich (napoletana panini). It looked fantastic. But when I asked his rating, he gave it 6/10 stars. However, I wouldn't trust anyone who doesn't like cheese so take it with a grain of salt I was torn between the Bianca and Quattro pizza so I asked the kind man at the register for his suggestion; he said the Bianca is more popular so I went with that. I enjoyed my pizza, although I wouldn't order this one again. I do want to say that it is pricey but you will get a very big pie of great quality. The dough was excellent! It was actually my favorite part and I've never said that about any pizza! Atmosphere is extremely casual. There's fruit infused waters to have and you go and grab them yourself (back right corner). But you can order bottles of soda, alcohol, etc. Also in the back right corner are small pizza boxes for leftovers you can grab if needed. I'm a member of their rewards program and once in a while, they'll send me a coupon for $5 off, or a certain percentage off of my next order. So, when I get one of these rewards, I make sure to take advantage and order a pie! Shoutout to the staff as they're always friendly and courteous. I need to praise how open and honest they are, which was put on full display with a recent order. One Pie Pizza Co. bakes a truly authentic Buffalo-style pizza with an airy, doughy undercarriage, a balanced chewy, crispy crusty, plenty of mozzarella cheese and sweet red sauce with cup-n-char pepperoni, but I like my dough, the undercarriage, to be a bit more cooked, firm, crispy, so I've been requesting "extra crispy on the bottom/underneath" more recently. But the way One Pie Pizza Co. cooks their pizzas makes that request a little more difficult as they use a conveyor belt process, so when ordering online there are two "Special Instructions" options: LIGHT WELL DONE and WELL DONE (Dark, crispy crust with charred edges). I've been trying to figure out which of these options would offer the more firm, crispier dough I want, so I ended up talking to some of the staff working there and explained my conundrum. They were wonderful in hearing me out and suggesting how I should place my order to get what I am looking for. So, what's the way to get the dough more firm, crispy underneath? Order your pizza LIGHT WELL DONE and ask if they could put your pizza on top of the oven for 10 minutes before they put it into the oven to cook it! The dough might raise up a bit more, but it should help pre-heat, cook the dough a little bit more. Of course, nothing wrong with adding a note asking for extra crispy on the bottom, underneath. I've ordered a few times in 2026 and each time my order has been a QTR Sheet (six slice) cheese, pepperoni, sausage, banana peppers, and ricotta cheese pizza, LIGHT WELL DONE cook/extra crispy on the bottom, underneath. This is an excellent pizza, with tons of toppings on each slice and plenty of ricotta cheese ladled on top. Drizzle a little hot honey to add a little sweet kick. This pizza never fails to leave me happy and full. I will say, their pizza might be on the pricier end in Buffalo, but it's worth it. One Pie Pizza Co. certainly earned, and deserves its high marks and regards within the Buffalo pizza community! I'm glad to keep them in my list of go-to Buffalo pizza shops.
