I really wanted to like this place because it has a lot of potential, but unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. We waited more than 30 minutes just to get our drink orders. There were four of us, and the food service was just as frustrating. One pizza arrived first, then about an hour later two more meals came out. Twenty minutes after that, the final meal was finally served. We later found out they had given us someone else's pizza, which explained part of the delay. After ordering my High Noon twice and still not receiving it, I finally had to go to the bar and get it myself. We also had to go to the bar for other drinks because they simply weren't being brought to the table. When we asked about the delays, the server's response was simply, "We're extremely busy." While we understand restaurants have busy times, the staff came across as rude rather than apologetic or helpful. Food was served on paper plates with no napkins or silverware, and we had to ask for those as well. The pizzas also weren't as described on the menu. Another concern was the condition of the deck. It appeared to be in disrepair, and we saw two people trip while we were there. That's a safety issue that should be addressed. The only bright spot of the evening was the live music, which was excellent. It's disappointing because this place could be really nice with better management, improved service, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I can't recommend it. read more

We have been wanting to check-out the Burrata Rooftop Bistro for some time now and did so this past week. Bartenders and staff at this venue are very nice and doing their best. They are pleasant and responsive. The setting of the prices for the venue is not something they can control, but something that management should take a look at. The wings were excellent....crispy, tasty, moist and delicious. We also ordered a pepperoni pizza. The pizza was okay, but nothing special. Both the wings (10 in our order) and the medium-sized pizza are over $20 each so I think the food is a bit expensive for this type of venue. We ordered two Margaritas on the rocks. These drinks were ordered with the standard house Tequila. The drink prices don't show up on the menus that we were given, so shame on us for not thinking to ask the price before ordering. Our Margaritas came "shaken over ice", but without any ice in the glass....so they were warm and watery. We had to go to the bar twice and request some "rocks" so that we could add ice to our drinks and enjoy them a bit more. I have to say, I was very shocked and disappointed when the bill came... to find that each of the three Margaritas we ordered were $15 a piece. Pricing for these drinks at this casual a venue is much too high. I can only imagine what a Margarita with Cuervo (our typical Tequila of choice) would have cost. Pricing at this venue is more on a par with a high-end steakhouse or pub/bar and really should not be for the quality being offered to customers. We paid the bill without complaint since it was our fault for not asking the pricing before we ordered and didn't see the drink prices on the menu. Just saying..... read more

For our wedding in August, we booked the Burrata Rooftop Bistro at the Holiday Inn Express Grand Island for an afterparty, paying for food and bar service with two bartenders and indoor/outdoor seating. After months of planning, a site tour, food menu and clear communication, what was meant to be a joyous conclusion to our wedding day turned into a complete disaster due to the mismanagement and unprofessionalism of the restaurant staff. We informed the restaurant in advance that the first shuttle from our wedding venue would arrive around 10:15 PM. Live music was scheduled earlier in the evening, and we were assured our private party would transition smoothly afterward. Instead, when we arrived, we were met with chaos. The lead staff member, Tanya, outright refused to accommodate our group, claiming the General Manager instructed her to close by 11 PM--despite our booking being confirmed. Tanya even threatened to call law enforcement if we stayed. Many of our guests had planned their evening around attending this afterparty, knowing late-night transportation options in the area are limited. To have the event canceled upon arrival when we had 50 people standing there hungry and ready for the event was absolutely devastating. We tried to address the situation, I even reviewed with Tanya the reservation details on her phone, which confirmed our scheduled arrival time from 10:15 PM to midnight. When I took a photo of her phone screen as it confirmed as proof she had the details, she quickly pulled her phone away and refused to honor the agreement. Tanya escalated the situation further by yelling at guests, flipping off a patron not associated with the wedding party, and complaining to others earlier in the night that she "didn't want to work this party" and was "hoping we wouldn't show up." And counting down the minutes to when she didn't have to serve us. She bizarrely claimed the party was only booked during hours of operation to which last call was @10:30 and closing @11- which was not the case- why would anyone spend hundreds of dollars for not even two hours, with other patrons there, and with no food or drinks included, with a last call for a time occurring before second shuttle would have even arrived... To make matters worse, Tanya falsely claimed the restaurant had to reimburse an "entire floor of hotel rooms due to noise complaints", even though our party had just arrived, and there was no music or noise on our end. If complaints were made, they were likely related to the live music held earlier in the evening, not our group. While we received a refund for the afterparty fee, we have yet to see promised reimbursements for our room, and there has been no meaningful apology or accountability from the restaurant or hotel management at that location. A regional manager briefly reached out saying he was going to address this but then stopped responding entirely until saying a couple weeks later he had left the organization and could not help anymore but thought the room was reimbursed- which it has not. Tanya's behavior was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. She ruined what should have been a celebratory event for us and our guests. The other bartender was the only bright spot, remaining professional and sympathetic despite the chaos. This experience left us and our guests stunned. We strongly urge anyone considering the Burrata Rooftop Bistro for an event to reconsider. The mismanagement, lack of care, and outright disrespect we encountered were inexcusable. I hesitated to even post this review, however, feel I have given them ample time to address my concerns and they have not. I visited the Burrata Rooftop Bistro while visiting with friends who were staying at the adjoining Holiday Inn Express. The staff of the Bistro were very pleasant and gracious. The seating room was clean but space in furnishings. The chairs for guest were an industrial steel and felt uncomfortable and undersized for all in our party regardless if they were plus sized or petite. The largest of the detractors however was the moderately priced food. While it was not expensive, it also was far less than flavorful. I had a steak panini which was served on what looked like toasted white bread with some butter and parsley added to the exterior. It was evident (and later confirmed by staff) that the ingredients were preprocessed and used directly from the package. The shaved "steak" used in the panini and also ordered steak salad looked and tasted as if it was similar to the old product called Steak-ums. The onion rings, when asked if homemade, were frozen and confirmed to come from a bag. Unfortunately for visitors, there are not many choices for eating while staying at this hotel so this subpart establishment says in business without needing to improve their menu. read more

This was one of my friends and family's favorite place. we have loved coming in for the past 2 years for wings drinks and fries. .50 cent wings on Thursday was a stable. The waitress are always so sweet and nice there, so we make sure we always take care of them. The manger/owner or whatever she is by far the most rude person I have ever encountered but continued to go bc we loved the girls. Last week me and a couple of my girlfriends went for some drinks and wings. We put in our order for food and drinks. out came the drinks that was probably one of the worst drinks I have ever had from there but again just became one of those things you sucked up because you have been going for so long it was our favorite Tuesday night routine. About 30/45 we get told they are out of wings which okay fine life happens I told our waitress we didn't want anything else and we weren't paying for the drinks because we had only taken 2 sips and I wasn't going to drink and drive on a empty stomach and the drinks were pretty awful She said ok turned around n didn't say another word to us. We went on our way and decided to come back this week because we loved it here. We sat down and one of my favorite girls comes over and tell us if we ordered we will be getting charged for our drinks we got last week that we didn't "pay" for per The manager. I told her we told the waitress last week we weren't paying as we didn't get any food and took 2 sips out of our drinks. They pushed back and said we are getting charged. At this point I'm very upset because we have supported and loved on this business for years and they would treat us poorly like we stole from them after the inconvenience they ran into. The manager was yelling how could I walk out on my tab and again I explained how they ran out of wings and the drink were awful and we notified the waitress we weren't gonna pay but any decent establishment would of been like yes so sorry for the inconvenience that we ran out the wings the least they could do was take care of the drinks Not threaten to double charge us this week. I have brought a lot of business to this place and I will be telling everyone the treatment that was given And we will never be retuning. read more

This was the WORST "restaurant" i've been to. $15 for a margarita that had MAYBE half a shot of tequila. I ordered nachos and spent $15 on fake bottled cheese and stale chips. The "cook" was wearing pink pants and a bonnet and i waited 30 minutes for frozen deep fried onion rings and nachos with fake cheese. Tried this place inside the Holiday Inn at Grand Islland for the first time and caught some friends playing some music on Friday night here. The way it was setup as of April 2021 was a bar with no real food/drink menu, but one bartender telling you what's on the menu. As far as food - it's a pizza they make in their large wood fired oven. $15 each for a generous personal size, this is what I had and shared and found it delicious! It was very crispy. The bartender apologized it took so long to come out because apparently the first one got burnt and she was proactive in making us a second. It made the experience a little stressful waiting for so long since I was in a little bit of a time crunch, but the taste and the sweet sauce of the pie more than made up for it. There's also a gorgeous rooftop view and some great lounge furniture. It was a little chilly to be outside this particular day, but I went out and scoped it out and think it'd be a super cool place to return! read more

Food and atmosphere were fine, but it was a windy day, and an umbrella was not secure. It blew across the deck and hit me in the head. I was stunned and had an instant headache, but was more surprised when the manager Tanya told me the wind wasn't her responsibility and that the umbrella was secure, which it clearly wasn't, as several people pulled it off of me. In the end, they made me pay the bill, and I didn't even get an apology. After looking at all the negative reviews, I'm not surprised. There's pricey and then there's over the top. The Burrata Bistro is both a place to check out and a place to skip. What impressed me - simply an amazing view & super fast service when I first got there. Butttt I was shocked that a can of Guinness was $10 for the 14.5 once can. In my search for the best Guinness in WNY, I had never seen anything over $9. A dollar you say. Well yeah. There's reason to be glad that they at least they have it, but at $10 a pour, I just couldn't justify another glass. (Yes I've been called cheap before lol.) TBH I had decided to go for a second but after standing at the bar and no one would look at me I decided a one-time visit was about all I was up for. The outdoors part of the bar is great. Inside - not so much. However, I bet it's a pretty cool place to watch a lake-effect snow storm come in, so my next visit will be a snowy day in a winter month. read more

We ordered one pepperoni pizza and the waitress forgot to register our pizza for a solid 20 minutes, it took a total of almost a hour to get one pizza, they allow smoking outside, the pizza was burnt on the bottom but the inside was soggy almost no sauce the cheese wad rubbery we got a wrong drink and our PEPPERONI PIZZA had A total of 10 small pepperoni the pizza looked nothing like they show it was terrible I could compare the pizza to being worse than dominoes our small pizza was 18$ I would never pay that much again and to top it off the waiter was snotty... read more

Staying in the hotel and wanted a night time snack. Ordered the pretzels and the artichoke dip. Both were excellent. Artichoke dip was creamy and flavorful. Paired nicely with the tortilla chips. The pretzels were the real deal though. Covered in butter and garlic seasonings they were warm and fluffy Just everything you want in a warm pretzel. The beer cheese is crave worthy. Wish I knew what beer they used because I'd try to make it myself. Even better when using the tortilla chips in the cheese! Cool small bar would be great to catch a game. It's a walk up and order bar atop Holiday In Express. There's really nothing else in the immediate area so this was our only option. That said the charcuterie board was beautifully presented. They have Friday night entertainment and view of the sunset was wonderful ambiance. read more

The location betrays the quality of the food. As a hotel guest it was super convenient. Stuffed banana peppers and pizza were so fresh and clearly from scratch. Nice beer selection from their neighbors at Southern Tier and Ellicottville Brewing. The service from Cassie was impeccable. A diamond in the rough in my opinion. read more

We went to listen to music and ordered dinner, I ordered chicken fingers that were so overcooked you could probably bounce them off the wall and it came with cold fries. My husband and my friend both ordered burgers and they said they were so bad they couldn't eat them. Will not order food there again read more

Intimately small, home-ee, comfortable, and amazing!!! Right now, I have talked with everyone at the bar while watching the Sabre's game, eating an incredibly delicious wood fired pizza and pretzel sticks. They have a perfect collection of liquor including artisan whiskey, and bourban that 100% I did not expect, but it is fitting and gah. Just everything is fantastic. we waited two hours for our food. the server, who did a great job, told us there was only one person working in kitchen. several employees were socializing with friends who stopped in. when we got bill we noticed a kitchen fee of over $4. 2 people dining. some food served was cold. not really fair to charge a kitchen fee when you wait 2 hours for your food. read more
