We loved this place because it was cozy, homey and clean. Loved that we were right on the river where you could feed the mallard ducks. Loved the furnishings and comfortable beds and wood floors. I highly recommend.

I so wish we could have stayed in Pigeon Forge longer - because The Inn was lovely! We only stayed one night, passing through on our way from NC to IA, and stopped over to visit a dear friend. The Inn was one of the best places we have laid our heads. The beds were super comfortable, the linen very soft, the decor was absolutely gorgeous, the rain shower head was heavenly, and the breakfast was exceptional. Hell, even their trash bins outside were decorative! The staff was also very friendly, but then it seems like everyone we came in contact with in TN was friendly. What a wonderful place to visit. I didn't get to walk the river myself, but my sister did and really enjoyed it. We know there is so much to see and do in the area, we want to make our way back there some day. The Inn will definitely be our first choice to stay.

A goose saying hi. Don't worry it was at a safe distance from pecking me.

The Inn on the River's location is a perfect spot right on the main drag. The hallways are cute (but a bit hot in our floor) and the main lobby area where they have breakfast and free popcorn and drinks in the evening is also very nice. Our ice machine was inoperable on the 4th floor, but the front desk was quick to provide ice when asked. There's an indoor pool and an outdoor pool that give you the opportunity to soak up the sun or get a little shade if needed. The rooms were clean and accommodating and the beds were comfortable. The full breakfast was a nice touch, but the repeated offerings of sausage did get a little stale. The links were a little overcooked and the biscuit gravy was definitely a pass. While the hotel is clean, and the accommodations are nice, it is the service that makes me want to come back. All the employees are friendly, willing to give you a recommendation to eat, and share their thoughts of attractions in the area. The room rates were extremely affordable, they have a rewards Club that makes it more affordable the next time you come back, and it's definitely worth staying here if you want to enjoy the Smoky Mountains, Pigeon Forge, or Gatlinburg. If you prefer to just relax at the Inn, and maybe say high to the local geese from the fenced patio overlooking the river, you can't go wrong here.

It was nice. Check in was fast, the pool is great. Breakfast was filling and good! Lots of places to sit. Decor was welcoming in the lobby. The room was clean!

Such a beautiful place! I'm so glad I picked this place for our first stay in pigeon forge. They have a food dispenser for the ducks and geese which was a huge hit with my grandson. The complimentary breakfast was awesome as well. We will definitely be back!!

The perfect stay! We visited Labor Day weekend, August 31-September 2, 2019. Location is on the main strip and close driving to all the main attractions. Staff was very friendly and inviting. Hotel was clean and has many perks, including popcorn, coffee, tea and water in the lobby at all times. We didn't have time to get in the pool but there's two, one indoor and one outdoor. Both looked clean and several families were there having fun. Breakfast was really good; eggs, link sausage, potatoes, biscuits, toast, gravy, oatmeal, cereal and many juices, made to order waffles too. I really enjoyed having breakfast outside under the pavilion by the river. There's a fire pit too! (Some Yelp pictures appear to be before pavilion was built, as in some pictures there's a patio with umbrellas but it's actually a really nice covered area with plenty of dining seating as well as rockers facing the river. Very nice area) There are gum ball type machines by the path to the river that has food to feed the ducks, (25 cents, bring quarters). There were a few ducks hanging around in the river during breakfast so after breakfast we walked down to feed them. The night before we noticed many, MANY geese in the water sleeping right outside our room (we were room 308). Very cool to see so many. We'll definitely stay here again, looking forward to it!

Another outing that starts with...."so, we had this groupon"... We bought two of their groupon specials to combine for a long weekend, which was four days and three nights in a room with a Jacuzzi, fireplace, balcony, and king bed. We had no problem scheduling, which is always a concern with groupon. The room was quite large and very clean. The Balcony had a beautiful view of the mountains, and of course the river. It was lovely to watch the sunset just wish they had more comfortable chairs out there. There lobby is warm and inviting that it made me actually want to sit there. I've never had a desire to just sit in a hotel lobby and watch people but here I actually wanted to. Their morning breakfasts are amazing. They have excellent biscuits and gravy and my daddy was from the south, so I know biscuits and gravy. I also loved the evening popcorn they made. Also, I couldn't get over how nice the staff was. Maybe it's a southern thing but the were always smiling and super talkative to people at breakfast. If I had to saw one negative thing it would be that their Jacuzzi are not super comfortable and the jets never hit in the right spot. They are not positioned to hit key areas like the upper and lower back Just thinking about the great time we had makes me want to go back! Tips: 1. If you're not interested in the all the super touristy things and want to avoid crowds go the week before Christmas. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg were almost like ghost towns, which we enjoyed because we could drive anywhere in minutes and didn't have to deal with crowds at the Gatlinburg mall or aquarium.

The resort is in the mountains, a few minutes from Dollywood. It's clean and rustic but elegant - think Dolly Parton's style and touch. It's family oriented so it's cozy, not really flashy. I bet during the holidays (now) placed is decked out. Kudos to the staff. From checking in, to dining all the way the family activities (smores), everyone was friendly, helpful and genuinely warm making people feel welcome. Service wasn't feigned or scripted - it was real and even when it was busy, the staff took care of business. Room was comfortable and clean. Not extravagant - think Southern charm. Bathroom wasn't cramped, water pressure good and temperature nice and hot. Quiet (we had a corner room) and we couldn't hear anything. Not even when neighbors opening or closing their door. Even had a workspace if you were working while you were supposed to be on vacation. Amenities included shuttle to and from the park. Pool and Spa (didn't partake). Went to the bar/restaurant - see other review and an on site convenience store. Free parking. I'm sure there are more but that's just all that comes to mind because we were for the park. That's also in another review. Anyway - to sum it up, it's not quite a luxury resort - but a place that offers heartfelt comfort wrapped in Southern Hospitality. If you know Dolly's story, it kinda captures her spirit - warm, sincere and touches of joy. It's a definite "yes" if I needed to pick a place to stay when back in that area, even if I weren't going to the park.

The bathroom had a vent with tons of rust, the paint was chipped all over the walls. Beat up and scuffed furniture. The patios were sad and depressing. The patio door was broken and did not lock. The view is "sad creek with creepy parking lot." The hotel also gives a complimentary margarita coupon to guests. We do not drink alcohol. When I went to the bar I asked the manager if we could trade it in for a non-alcoholic margarita or NA beer and they said no, only alcoholic margaritas. How ridiculous! Not even a freaking mocktail margarita! After staying at the Gatlinburg resort property this was a huge let down. We have since learned they are two different franchise owners. Suffice to say, we were going to stay two nights. We paid for two and after one night we left and booked a room at the Gatlinburg location instead. That's how bad it was.

Got there around 10:00 and the room was ready. Great! Got to room and it was pretty small and filthy (table had crumbs/sticky, not vacuumed etc). Went back to the front desk and she offered to switch to same room for no charge or upgrade to a slightly bigger room for $20/night. We opted for that option since as a family of four, more space is worth the cost for us. We got to that room and again, not the cleanest and there was pubic hairs on the bathroom floor which basically sealed the deal mentally nothing good would happen. Because this was a timeshare offer we called them and finally after we left and had lunch they just put us in another room. They did refund the $60 and gave us three breakfast vouchers for each day but even this room was not clean to what "Hilton" standards should be even though the manager walked through the room personally. In the end, this made it very easy to say no to the timeshare presentation as their excuse was Hilton bought the property just a year ago so they aren't all up to standard yet. The lobby was beautiful, the pool area looked nice but my kids said the water was freezing. I would never pay for the $17 dollar breakfast as it's basically the same free stuff you get at every other hot continental breakfast. Basically, you couldn't pay me to stay here again.

Wowowowow, where do I start?!…read more Pigeon Forge is a mountainous Vegas-like touristy town. There are tons of hotels, some are great and others...not so much. Those great hotels are often going to cost a pretty penny while those more affordable ones are going to be a bit rough around the edges. So where can you stay in Pigeon Forge that isn't going to hurt the bank account while giving you a relaxing stay? Well look no further...Twin Mountain Inn & Suites is excellent AND affordable! I'm a Hotels member and when I saw Twin Mountain Inn and Suites' 5 star reviews, I was curious, especially because at the time, the rates were about $97/night AND pets are only $20/night. Not only that, the room had a river view with a balcony, fireplace, and free parking. Now, I've kept this hotel on the backburner on my account. Last time we visited Pigeon Forge, we stayed at Drury and spent so much more on a "Mountain View" that overlooked the parking structure. So, this time, I decided to go with my instinct and book with Twin Mountain. Boy, am I glad we did!! We stayed on the third floor. Don't let the cover of a book fool you. The parking is easy but can get full pretty quickly, true. However, the room was probably on of the cleanest hotel rooms we've ever stayed in. The beds were comfortable. The shower was hot and had good water pressure (albeit, no conditioner or body wash-just a small packaged bar of soap. There were two small bottles of shampoo). There's a microwave and mini fridge in the room. I also liked that there were two sinks, one in the bathroom and one just outside of it (vanity). This was convenient for two people. The AC/heater was powerful, too. The fireplace is timed and creates a cozy atmosphere. The balcony overlooking the river was peaceful and there were two plastic chairs and a little table out there to sit and enjoy the view of ducks and geese. Twin Mountain Inn and Suites is close to the strip but away from the flashing lights and noise. It's a great location! Breakfast is included and had biscuits and gravy, eggs, yogurt, sausage, fruit, cereal, and one waffle maker. There's fresh coffee and a juice machine, too. It was a tight squeeze as it was very busy for 7:30am so I decided to get one biscuit and gravy, two sausages, and a yogurt to take back to the room, which were all very good. There's a drink vending machine outside of the lobby and one near the parking lot. The elevator was convenient and they also had luggage trolleys, too. This was an outstanding stay for one night and I wish it had been longer. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend staying with Twin Mountain Inn & Suites for your next stay in Pigeon Forge.
