Wowowowow, where do I start?! Pigeon Forge is a mountainous Vegas-like touristy town. There are tons of hotels, some are great and others...not so much. Those great hotels are often going to cost a pretty penny while those more affordable ones are going to be a bit rough around the edges. So where can you stay in Pigeon Forge that isn't going to hurt the bank account while giving you a relaxing stay? Well look no further...Twin Mountain Inn & Suites is excellent AND affordable! I'm a Hotels member and when I saw Twin Mountain Inn and Suites' 5 star reviews, I was curious, especially because at the time, the rates were about $97/night AND pets are only $20/night. Not only that, the room had a river view with a balcony, fireplace, and free parking. Now, I've kept this hotel on the backburner on my account. Last time we visited Pigeon Forge, we stayed at Drury and spent so much more on a "Mountain View" that overlooked the parking structure. So, this time, I decided to go with my instinct and book with Twin Mountain. Boy, am I glad we did!! We stayed on the third floor. Don't let the cover of a book fool you. The parking is easy but can get full pretty quickly, true. However, the room was probably on of the cleanest hotel rooms we've ever stayed in. The beds were comfortable. The shower was hot and had good water pressure (albeit, no conditioner or body wash-just a small packaged bar of soap. There were two small bottles of shampoo). There's a microwave and mini fridge in the room. I also liked that there were two sinks, one in the bathroom and one just outside of it (vanity). This was convenient for two people. The AC/heater was powerful, too. The fireplace is timed and creates a cozy atmosphere. The balcony overlooking the river was peaceful and there were two plastic chairs and a little table out there to sit and enjoy the view of ducks and geese. Twin Mountain Inn and Suites is close to the strip but away from the flashing lights and noise. It's a great location! Breakfast is included and had biscuits and gravy, eggs, yogurt, sausage, fruit, cereal, and one waffle maker. There's fresh coffee and a juice machine, too. It was a tight squeeze as it was very busy for 7:30am so I decided to get one biscuit and gravy, two sausages, and a yogurt to take back to the room, which were all very good. There's a drink vending machine outside of the lobby and one near the parking lot. The elevator was convenient and they also had luggage trolleys, too. This was an outstanding stay for one night and I wish it had been longer. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend staying with Twin Mountain Inn & Suites for your next stay in Pigeon Forge. read more

We stayed here the last time we visited Pigeon Forge. I would stay here again. We had a creek view room with a fireplace. The room was very spacious and I loved the layout of the room! The hotel is older but very well maintained and off the beaten path so we really loved that. The hotel desk staff was very friendly as well. The only issue was there seemed to be many smokers staying there while we were there and they liked to congregate around the front entrance. So every time you came in, you were blasted with cigarettes. Otherwise, the stay was very enjoyable! read more

We ended up staying here because our normal hotel was completely booked. Our stay was for a week; we had five nights under one reservation and added another night under a separate reservation. This hotel will be our go-to from now but let me tell you why: The room was great. There was a large tub near middle of the entry way and a fire place. We usually don't use tubs but this was so clean. Every day the tub and room was cleaned without having to ask; towels were always replaced, bed was always made, and trash was always removed. I only mention this because many of the hotels we've stayed at post COVID only clean/replace towels if asked but this wasn't the case here. The check in process was painless. We had to recheck in for the extra night we added but that was also very easy to get through. There was also a hot breakfast from 6:00am-9:30am (I think those are the times) that included biscuits and gravy, fruit, cereal, pastries, coffee, juice, milk, and a waffle maker. The highlight of this hotel for our party was the river. The balconies of the rooms overlook a river that had so many animals. Throughout the week we saw cranes, ducks, groundhogs, geese, and a couple eagles. Literally the animals and that river were mentioned daily by the older individuals in our party; they absolutely loved it. We'll stay here again. read more

The location is close to many great spots but off the beaten path so to speak! I loved watching the ducks and geese in the river from the balcony and even seeing the fireworks from Dollywood. The room was bigger than most with a cozy fireplace. Beds were comfy and everything was clean. The fridge worked like a freezer and froze our food but it's better than not working at all like other places. We will definitely be back. read more

We went for our summer vacation. Had a wonderful stay at twin mountain They made special arrangements for my disabled dog. Took care of everything we needed . We love it here. I researched a lot of places for my stay in the Smokies. I will always stay at Twin Mountain inn in Pigeon Forge anytime I have an opportunity to come back for vacationing. The rooms are clean, beds are super comfy, great water pressure in showers. They also have a gas fireplace in the room. Each room has a balcony to sit and enjoy the quietness while enjoying the backdrop of a creek and the woods. Very tranquil and inviting. The free breakfast in the AM is also a bonus and very good! They have a small but nice pool and a gas fire pit which was fun to sit around in the evening time. This is right off the major strip of busy Parkway Ave where all the action is. There is a great AYCE seafood buffet in walking distance. And of course the Inn has very reasonable prices for this touristy area. read more

To the best of my recollection, I have never reviewed a motel/hotel. But, our stay at Twin Mountain was good enough to make me do one. This is not the Hilton or Hyatt Inn so keep this in mind while setting your expectations. This is an older place that has recently been updated. The grounds are well maintained, the paint throughout the complex is fresh, the room we had was also well maintained, with a modern bathroom. There were two USB ports and plenty of outlets for charging, the TV was adequate, with plenty of channels to choose from. And the beds were fine. A touch hard for me; but, better than squishy soft from years if use. They had daily room service which is rare in a post COVID world. Our beds were made daily, the carpet swept, and fresh towels were placed. Here's what set them over the top though. Our boys brought stuffed animals with them. Every morning, the cleaner placed them on the bed as part of the decor in between the pillows. Superb! Now for the customer service. From our first call to confirm our reservation, to the last minute we checked out, the customer service was impeccable. There seemed to be a pervasive genuine eagerness to serve us. It didn't seem to be manufactured. (As mentioned above with the stuffed animals.) The front desk help was friendly, helpful, willing to give advice about things to go and see. The breakfast was your standard pre-COVID fare. Breads, cereal, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, yogurts, pb&j, and make yourself waffles. read more

Twin Mountain Inn and Suites Before I review this Beautiful AMAZING, Quaint and Charming kind of Retro, but with Modern Conveniences, and Lovely updated Decor, I have to give a BIG SHOUT OUT to the people that work here: Matthew, Cody, Dwayne, and Ela, I thought she was the Owner but she said she was the Manager, and a gentleman who came to the room for a small repair, I didn't get his name. *Even the Lady in the Laundry room who was washing and folding towels was very nice! The people that work here have Genuine Southern Hospitality! They are Calm, Kind, Mannerly, Professional and Excellent in EVERY WAY! Matthew in particular RESCUED ME and the room I was in; when I was unable to turn off the bath tub. I thought I had it turned off but somehow I didn't and it overfilled and spilled out into the room. He was there in no time with tools to extract the water and then a dry mop to clean up the rest of it. The tub fills up differently than most tubs and I somehow didn't work it properly. That part was a disappointment because after that first night I wasn't going to touch that tub again. It was completely "User error" but I was afraid to try it again. That was disappointing because I really wanted to soak in that tub! The Manager, Ella, came the next morning and assessed everything and had a gentleman come in with a water extraction machine to get the water out of the carpet. I just felt TERRIBLE that it happened. I wish so badly they would put instructions on the Tub because apparently this has happened before. The way the water fills it is from INSIDE the tup and there is not a Spicket (Faucet for any non-Southerner reading this) to make sure you have the water turned off. When I entered the room it was SO CLEAN AND SO PRETTY! There were plenty of Bath Towels, the bed was SOOO comfy cozy and the pillows, while fluffy, turned out to be just right to sleep on. Sometimes with bigger pillows they will hurt my neck but these didn't. The best part was sitting on the Balcony every morning listening to Nature wake up and watching the Sky change Colors. The Hotel faces due East so a SunRise Show every morning is HERE! In the evenings I went to the front of my room to watch the Sunset! While it is in an area where there are homes and businesses, it is still very quiet, calm and relaxing here. Parking was very easy and Check in was smooth and easy. There are plenty of luggage carts for use. The Elevator works fine and wasn't an issue for me. After I had my things loaded into the room I found myself using the stairs just for the exercise and the joy of it. The pool area is "just enough"! I went down one evening and dipped my feet in the water and sat down by the pool and patio area a few times. There is a fire pit down there as well, which I didn't go to, but there were several people that gathered there every night. This is one of the nicest places I have ever been blessed to have Lodging at in this area. It's centrally located, yet off of the main road and away from the noise, traffic and congestion. There was a slight bit of Construction going on across the River/Creek from my Balcony; but personally, I rather ENJOYED that! It was fun to watch people working and having a chance to "build their dream". The Nature, the Birds, the Geese, which are very vocal and will "talk you to sleep at night" and "wake you up in the morning" was a REAL TREAT for me. There are also Ducks which have their own "voice". There are MANY Birds here, such as Mockingbirds, Cardinals, Song Birds, and I was even blessed to see a Baby Squirrel come and "stare" at me while I was down by the Patio area. If there are any CONS to staying here it would only be that the water pressure is "light" and it was a bit difficult to get a shower but I managed to get all the soap and shampoo rinsed off. *It is a little difficult to get the temperature of the water right. It's either freezing or scalding so you have to work with it carefully before you get in the shower. I booked an additional night as I was FINALLY starting to calm down from the first night here with the over flowing tub incident. I was hoping to get a discount but they couldn't give me a discount. I went ahead and booked it at the full rate which was disappointing, because even though the "tub malfunction" was user error on my part, there really should be some sort of instructions on the bathtub as far as how to make sure the water is off due to the water fill being down inside the tub. Disappointed that I didn't get to use the Tub. I did eat the breakfast a couple of mornings and it was PLENTY for me. They offered scrambled eggs, sausage links, yogurt, fruit, Biscuits, Gravy, Muffins, cereal, milk, juice, and of course Delicious Coffee. Only negative was when our smoke detector randomly went off in the middle of the night! o_O But that's probably one in a million... Great spot for visiting the attractions at Pigeon Forge. If you want to be away from the chaos but close enough to enjoy it--this hotel is just 2 Miles away from Dollywood with a great view of the creek. Peaceful and very clean. We loved the beds, breakfast buffet, laundry, and great pet policy--only $15 per pet!!! The best thing of all was the staff which are very hard working and attentive. I stayed at this hotel for two nights from 11/30 to 12/02. I was looking for a hotel that provides breakfast, which is my top criteria while finding a hotel. When I booked online, they showed in their hotel info that a 'Good Breakfast' was included. I checked this info across three different 3rd party sites and verified that the breakfast is included. When I checked-in at the hotel, I was shocked to hear that breakfast is NOT available. I spoke with the manager the next day, and she told me that they have mentioned that breakfast may not be available in the 'additional section'. This section does not show up on the front of the reservation. We have to dig deep to find this information. She said that it was our responsibility to read thru all the info. It sucked to hear this from her. They clearly lied about breakfast availability. They have two misinformation pieces, one falsely showing that the breakfast is available at an eye-catching place. Somewhere deep down, they have mentioned that breakfast may not be available. It is the hotel's responsibility to talk to all the 3rd party sites to remove the misinformation of showing 'breakfast included'. Instead, she expected me to speak with Expedia and update the misinformation. read more

We stayed at the Twin Mountain Inn & Suites for our 25th anniversary from December 4-8, 2023, and totally enjoyed our time there. The room was very comfortable and surprisingly quiet considering it promotes itself as being pet friendly. Only heard muffled barking a couple of mornings which is less than I expected. With the exception of a slight mildewy smell on the shower curtain, the room was VERY clean and fresh. Beds and sofa were comfortable, and the fireplace and views were awesome. After reading all the good reviews we decided to book here. It appears there has been a lot of updating and our room appeared very clean but there was a horrible cat pee odor in our room that was overwhelming. It was masked with a cleaning agent but the cat pee odor was very obvious. If I would have known this place allowed pets I wouldn't have booked here. While we love animals, we don't want to smell their pee when we're on vacation. Not sure we will re-book in the future. They need to rethink allowing pets. To spend all of that money on renovating and have people bring their pets and ruin it is really a shame. read more

We had our siblings trip to Pigeon Forge Tennessee. We stayed at Twin Mountain suites. Our room was a king with jacuzzi tub. The room was spacious, overlooking the river. We spent a lot of time in the pool and out on the back patio by the river. There were a total of 14 of us and we just really had a great time and the staff was wonderful. Everyone on staff kept the hotel clean. I would highly recommend staying here. read more

Really lovely experience here! The check-in was easy and the desk clerk could not have been more friendly and polite. Our room was lovely and the fireplace was a really wonderful feature. It was freezing cold so we made good use of the fire! I loved how the room faced out to the river, I think they would be a great feature in the Summer (visiting in November it was a bit too cold to really utilize this)! The hotel was right in the middle of everything, very convenient! One warning, it can be quite noisy in the mornings- the ducks are very active and there was a lot of truck/road/construction noise. Not at all the fault of the hotel, but you might want to bring ear plugs! I would definitely stay here again. read more

My husband and I stayed here early May, 2023. We loved this quiet sanctuary in an otherwise very busy tourist area. We were on the top, 5th floor, and looked forward to sitting on the balcony at the end of every day to watch the ducks, geese, and heron. Being spring there were a lot of babies too, and every room has this benefit! The one staff member with whom we interacted seemed to do everything. I wish I'd gotten the young woman's name, who checked us in and out, answered questions, and manned the breakfast buffet in an efficient and friendly way. The location was perfect for everywhere we wanted to go and the motel provides many brochures to inspire other adventures. We were surprised to find the elevator on the outside, adjacent to the parking lot, but we got used to that, there were no problems, and we definitely hope to return. read more

This was the first time we stayed here, but it won't be the last! This hotel is off the beaten track, so you don't have the traffic to deal with and it's nice and quiet. All rooms have a balcony overlooking the river, and we were serenaded by ducks every morning, which was fun. The room was very clean as well as the overall property. The pool was closed as it was outdoors, and looked a little small, but there's so much to do in Pigeon Forge, it wasn't missed! The beds were comfortable, which was a nice surprise, as so many hotels have lumpy or sagging mattresses. The mini fridge chilled our drinks very quickly and very cold, so you didn't need to go to the ice machine. That is located on the ground floor, so if you're on the 5th floor it can be a ways to travel for ice. The TV had a long list of channels available, which was nice as some places only have the basic ones and not much to choose from. There is a hot breakfast each morning, and wasn't just your usual bagel/cereal/waffle maker kind of thing you see at so many hotels. This one included scrambled eggs, fried apples, sausage, biscuits and gravy, plus much more. It was such a nice way to start the day. We were a little uncertain about this hotel because you usually get what you pay for and this hotel wasn't very expensive. Arriving, it appeared to be better than expected. Checking in, the clerk was very pleasant, engaging, and informative. Best check-in experience I've ever had. The elevator was slow. There was no indicator lights, so we had no way of knowing if it was coming or going. There was a loud bang about halfway up or down. We ended up using the stairs most of the time and we were on the 4th floor. Ugh. The room was gorgeous and HUGE! The view from the private balcony was gorgeous. Only complaint was the overpowering, unpleasant smell of whatever cleaner they used. I had to leave the private balcony door open for a little bit each time we went in, to air it out. There was a fireplace, but it was too warm for that. The bed was huge and soft with big fluffy pillows. My bf didn't care for the softness. He said it made his back hurt. I thought it was awesome. There was a desk, a jacuzzi and an actual closet. There was also a mini-fridge, microwave, sofa and coffee table. I love that there was a channel guide, so we could find the channel we watch every night at home. The hotel is on a strip that could be a vacation even all it's own and it's only 9 minutes drive from the island. We didn't hear any noise from other guests (other than the shower pipes), even though it was pretty full. The shower was nice enough. It stayed hot for my whole shower and the water pressure was perfect. The continental breakfast was minimal, but we hadn't planned on breakfast at the hotel anyway. We were out all day after our first night and when we returned, the hotel room was cleaned, bed was made, and towels were refreshed. This is honestly the first time I've ever had this done on a multi-night stay anywhere. We were quite pleased. Also no strong cleaner smell this time. Checkout was fast and easy. It was our first visit to the Smokey Mountains and we had a very nice stay with the family at Twin Mountains. The front desk was very friendly when we arrived at night. All the areas were kept extremely clean and well taken care of. Breakfast was filling: eggs, sausage, and even biscuits and gravy with orange juice and coffee. Plus muffins and waffles.The rooms were very clean as well. Kudos to the house keeping. I had a good sleep on a firm bed. Perfect for dreaming after a long day of traveling. My mom had a very nice conversation with a sweet Jamaican lady who maintained the breakfast area. I would highly recommend this place to others looking for a place to stay. We needed a last minute room since we decided to stay one more night in Pigeon Forge and the staff was super friendly and gave us a discount since they only had one room left. I would leave 5 stars but the bed was not comfortable at all. I kept waking up hurting and so did my husband. That's the only bad thing I ca say about our stay because everything else was great! The balcony view of the water was so peaceful and relaxing. It's super quiet here too! We would definitely stay here again. I just hope they get better beds. I'm sure it could be quite uncomfortable for an older person to sleep. read more

We stayed here in Phase 1 room # 140. It was more than we thought we were getting. The scenery was just beautiful. The sounds were incredible. We were nestled far off the hwy and far from the sounds of the city. We woke up and went to sleep with the sounds of the river flowing and ducks. The rooms were huge. You actually have a separate room for family. A small refrigerator and coffee machine are in the room also. Bring your hair dryer. The beds aren't the best and the TVs are small but we didn't care. Who wants to stay in the room and sleep and watch tv when on vacation? For the price and the view it is well worth it. You have your private balcony overlooking the river. You may want to bring an extra pillow and blanket. It's not luxury but it suited us just fine, especially at $42 a night. It is beautiful here! Be sure to visit Laural Falls, Cades Cove, Gatlinburg and Ober, Gatlinburg.This is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. I love the Smoky Mountains! read more

Our stay was great! We had a courtesy block for our wedding party, family, and friends. The front desk did a great job of working with everyone that was there for us, especially the manager Ela. There were no complaints from anybody regarding their room. Being located near the end and a block off the strip in Pigeon Forge makes for a pretty quiet stay. Also, every room has a balcony overlooking the Little Pigeon River, which makes for a pleasant view. We plan to stay here every time we go to the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. read more
