Very Bad Experience...Do not go! The Man behind the counter is rude and disrespectful. i asked for the owner and his name yet he refused and acted like he's called the police or security, I waited and no one showed up. Racist!! Not professional, and will not buy anything from that store due to his poor customer service skills. He say dresses are under $500, yea $499. His fat behind doesn't greet anyone and yell at the children, so parents guard your child. When I placed my deposit, he told me that if I needed a different size, he would order it. Now, when I tried to do exactly that, he suddenly refused, saying he'd "lose money," which makes no sense since that's what was originally promised. I stopped in with my daughter to look at mother of the bride dresses. An associate approached and we told her we were browsing, and that I wasn't ready to buy immediately. A few minutes later this man -- apparently the owner from other reviews I've read -- approaches us and tells us it's too late to get a dress for my daughter's wedding (which is more than 6 months out) "because all of these dresses take more than two months to get" and when I said I would go with something off the rack if necessary, he said "we don't carry your size". I am XL and still working to lose more weight before the wedding, which is why I'm not buying right this minute. He was incredibly rude, accused us of taking photos (we were not, my daughter was showing me a photo of the dress her MIL-to-be purchased) and treated us like crap. Other reviews have pointed out his habit of fat-shaming teenage girls and that the prices are significantly overpriced -- in some cases people found the same dress at the upstairs bridal boutique for a third of the price. Dress selection is plentiful but they are overpriced. With that aside my daughter found a dress she loved. She liked one dress but wanted it in a different color. They said no problem. We ordered the dress in the other color (I asked more than once). The dress came in about 2 weeks later with almost 2 months until the prom, however it was the wrong color. The owner initially tried to place the blame on us for it being the wrong color. He said he would order the correct color but that it would not come in 2 weeks this time. Probably more like 4. I shared my concern with the timing and he assured me it would be taken care of "we will do alterations same day if needed." This was the end of March. Flash forward over a month passes and I call to check on the status on May 5. He tells me the dress is there and they called me on April 10. I never got a call or message or text (all of which I received the first time). We go in the next day (11 days until prom). We do the fitting and tell the seamstress when we needed it. Poor woman was not happy. I explained what happened and said "he promised". She rushes the alterations and we are supposed to pick up the dress the following Tuesday (4 days until prom). The seamstress unfortunately had car trouble and could not make it to the store. I offered to drive to her to pick it up. She said "he does not allow that). Mind you she is a private contractor and at this point he should be focused on making the customer happy. We go in Thursday (1 day until prom). She puts the dress on and the top/cups look horrible. I wish I had taken a picture. It was terrible and looked like the cups were shoved in by a 3 yr old. After trying to convince me it looked good she said she would fix it. I said the prom is tomorrow and she was shocked. She had no choice but to say she would fix it right there. I approached the owner and detailed how the whole process has been awful and the customer service was shameful. He again went into his we called/texted you and do you want to see the proof. I said no. When I didn't respond why did you not make contact again? His explanation - they wait TWO weeks to call again! First waiting two weeks is ridiculous. Second, well sir if that were the case I would have been called again on April 24. He did not. I called them May 5. He again tried to blame my daughter for the wrong color being ordered and denied ever offering same day alterations. He was rude, condescending and clearly thought he was speaking to a high school student and not an adult. We will never shop there again. All combined this dress cost over $700 and was nothing but stress and pitiful customer service the entire time. read more

Horrendous Experience at Trendz - AVOID AT ALL COSTS As I see a lot of people would also like to rate the store a zero if they could. I recently had the misfortune of visiting Trendz, and it was the worst shopping experience of my life. The owner is an unbelievably rude, disgusting pig who has no business running a store. I will tell anyone with ears not to go here. After five different trips back and forth, with two alterations, the dress I purchased was still ripped. The way we were treated was absolutely disgusting. They even had the audacity to accuse us of lying, claiming we misheard them about shipping the dress after so many trips to their store. Getting these expensive dresses for my twins was not as horrible as having the alterations. 5 total trips 2 appointment mistakes, I had to confirm going the day before or day of each time I planned the trip to the store, the seamstress was obviously over booked. I asked to make ties for the boys with the extra material, the cost was so much that I honestly thought it would be quality work! My 9 year old could have sewn the ties. Total rip-off! This place is vile to not just customers but the passerbyers. My teenage daughter and her friend went into the store just out of curiosity - keep in mind no sign was in the window that said, "You need to be with someone 21 years or older." They walked in, and one of the employees came up to them asking if they needed help. Did not ask their age. They said no and wanted to look around for fun and inspiration. She left them alone, and they wandered around the store, showing each other potential dresses for an upcoming dance. They went on their phone to just pull up a picture of hairstyles. For no reason, the owner sees them and starts harassing them for trying to "find something better and cheaper." He had no constructive argument to be telling them off. They said okay and went on to a different part of the store. They saw this really nice blue dress and gently touched it. He started following them around the store. He walks over to them and finally asks for their age and then tells them to leave. I firmly believe it was out of saltiness and purely out of spite. When I came into the store to speak to him about his unprofessional behavior, he told us they ripped the dress and they were touching the mannequins inappropriately. He also would've charged them $499 for something they didn't do. He also knew that the hole was there prior to them being there and did not provide camera footage. He started getting an attitude and knew he was wrong. There was a sign in tiny writing at the back of the store saying you needed to be accompanied by a 21 year old, but you really can miss it. I believe this was him trying to start something. I know my daughter and her friend. They would never do anything stupid like that. I hope he reflects on his miserable actions, as he has nothing better to do with his low life. Why are you starting things with teenage girls? Especially since you knew it wasn't them who did it. I literally made an account JUST to leave a review I literally cannot fathom how stupid this place is. My friend and I just wanted to go in and try on dresses for prom, so we decided to stop in here, the employees were SO sweet, they were so nice and every single one of them was willing to help my friend and I find a dress that we liked. Except the man. My friend and I equally had only gotten to try on one dress before very rudely being told we were no longer allowed to because we didn't set up an appointment. Mind you this was my first time EVER dress shopping, is an appointment a regular thing? I don't know, but there was NO advertising of it, and when I asked the employees if I could try on the dress that I had picked out, not a SINGLE ONE of the THREE girls that had helped me, stopped me to ask if I had an appointment or even warned me of needing such before trying on the dress. When the very nice woman had led me over to the VERY sad looking "plus sized" area with the style of dresses that I wanted, the man came over and asked my friend what we wanted to buy, we both answered "oh we're looking for dresses for prom, just to see what might be our style." And he told us we weren't allowed to try on anything, and we'd need an appointment, which obviously came as a shock to both my friend and I. He then stepped over and told the other employee the same thing, and it seemed as if she wasn't aware of this policy, and neither were the other two that she then told. Which, seemed a bit odd to me because seeing as we were there towards the end of the day, if this policy was strict and was put in place constantly, the employees might be one of the first people to know? He then came back over and he decided to ask WHAT SCHOOL WE ATTEND? Honestly, feels REALLY inappropriate for him to be asking that considering we weren't even having like a casual conversation or anything, he just BROUGHT IT UP out of NOWHERE? I didn't feel comfortable answering at all, but my friend answered and he proceeds to tell us he had sold up to 30 dresses to other girls who go to our school. ...okay? He then tells us if we have no appointment there's no need to look. So we left really bummed out and annoyed. Now again, even if dress appointments are a normal thing in the dress shopping world, I feel SOMEONE should've told us before hand? Not only that but he could've been WAY nicer about telling us about it. Part of it almost felt like racial profiling (I'm black, my friend is Hispanic) considering there were other girls (they all appeared to be white so we stuck out like a SORE thumb) there without an appointment who hadn't been told to not try on dresses, and given the other reviews with this man's track record, I feel it's not to unusual to be something he would pull. Listen man, idc how you run your store, you do what you want, but clearly if ALL of the reviews are bad I'm thinking, it's not the customers fault, I think HE might be the problem. I would highly recommend shopping at this store. my daughter and I drove 2 1/2 hours from Dutchess County to purchase her prom dress and when it was delivered the dress was too small so Roy from Trendz was nice enough to ship us another dress in a bigger size make sure that it fit her and then had us return the smaller size. And this was dine with no extra charge. The entire process was a breeze. Roy and the girls in the shop are very kind. I would definitely recommend this dress shop for your purchase. My daughter stopped in here with her friends to get a dress for her prom. She was mortified when they were thrown out. My daughter and her friends are honor students and not troublemakers. My wife headed in there to find out what the deal was. The guy kept insisting she spank my daughter on front of him. I'm not a lawyer so I can't be sure of the legalities of his mommy/daughter public spanking fetish, but we got the entire thing on video. It's available on TikTok. We notified Freehold Raceway Mall management but they didn't give a shot. This led to a large part of the high school boycotting Freehold Raceway Mall for the prom season. BIG WASTE OF TIME !!!!!! BUYER BEWARE !! there prices are extremely high and they DO NOT back up their product. We did wind up purchasing a dress . On the day of the event , the dress while putting it on fell apart.! We returned it to the store for a refund. The store is not willing to refund you your money , which I understand, but say they are " willing" to fix it. They took the dress back and said that they would call as soon as the dress was repaired. Keep in mind the dress we bought for the event was NEVER even worn at this point. I would rate this place a negative amount of stars, if that was possible. As I read the reviews for this place, I feel almost better (though not really) that it wasn't just my personal experience. I went in here with my 15 year old niece to get something for her sweet 16. We had been in the store a few weeks prior and tried on a few dresses and she liked one...which is why we went back. As soon as we walked in, we were asked by Roy (who told us later he is the owner) what we needed. The conversation started with us explaining what we were looking for. He went immediately into "you're too late to look for a dress", "we don't have anything in HER size" (she is a size 2/4 depending on the store), "do you even know what a supply chain issue is" "how many stores have you been to?". This turned into "you need an appointment here to see dresses" (there was one other person in the store). I asked to speak to someone senior to him. This was received with silence and walking away. My niece and I thought we were waiting for someone... so she started rifling through dresses...From the back of the store this owner yells to us "you can't try anything on without an appointment" "I am doing you a favor by even letting you be in this store". I was appalled and responded with "let me call my attorney, who is my brother, because something isn't right here". He yelled back "call whoever you want but get the F&$% out of my store" I was SHOCKED to say the least. I filed a complaint with the mall/cops and have spread the word to anyone local to the area. NEVER GO HERE FOR ALTERATIONS OR TO BUY A DRESS!!! I purchased a dress here in a size up since they did not have my size. They said they would alter it to my size. I over payed for a crappy dress and spent 430 on the dress. I can back for alterations and got the bottom cut and cinched in the waist to fit me. With some basic understanding on sewing I gave them my dress and when I got it back all the changes were very unprofessionally done. The thread was not matched to the blue and the back was done like it was finished by a child. Overall when I pointed out the obvious issues the owner got very angry and called me rude when I was being respectful since the alterations where not worth an additional 220. He told me he would give a refund and then he said he wants the dress back and to put it on a mannequin so someone else can buy the botched dress. There is nothing posted that says you can't have food or drinks is in a store in the mall. They assumed they couldn't afford anything in the store. One star because I am not able to give it less. My daughter visited the store on 4/12/2022 to purchase a prom dress and received the most appalling customer service by Mr. Roy. As she looked at the dresses, she would text me the pictures. Mr. Roy proceeded to let her know that the pictures would not help her, that she needed a parent to try on a dress (even though she never even asked to try one in), that he may not have her size, and that she was too late to buy a dress as no seamstress would be able to fix the dress at this time. He was also absolutely inappropriate in asking her what school she attends. My daughter who rarely speaks up for herself, told him she wouldn't be purchasing a dress there and walked out. I called the store to ask for a manager and Mr. Roy refused to give me that information unless I told him what it was in regards to. I proceeded to tell him how incredibly rude he was. He has no business telling my daughter she was late in purchasing a dress and asking her inappropriate questions. The lack of professionalism was evident in our conversation as he did not even let me speak before he hung up again telling me to do what I needed to do. His attitude tells me that he may be related to management. We are completely disgusted by this behavior and would warn the owner and manager of this employee's conduct, completely unprofessional! My husband filed a complaint with mall security. The security director informed my husband that Mr. Roy is the owner. We will file a complaint with the franchise as well as the Freehold mall management. Freehold mall should have higher standard on the quality of service that is taking place because it is a huge reflection on their organization. Update as of 4/13/22: We spoke to Freehold Mall management department and advised them that Mr. Roy is a liability for a lawsuit, given his track record. This man is rude and disrespectful and will treat anyone the way he wants based on racial profiling. I believe this is the reason he asked my daughter what school she attends. Ms. Deborah claimed they could not break a lease to remove him because he pays rent. Therefore money is what continues to take priority rather than morality. We encouraged them to take a look at Mr. Roy's track record and suggested they give serious consideration in renewing his lease. We told them that we would, therefore, not be patronizing that mall because of their lack of response to this situation.
