I brought my hearing aids in, because the right didn't turn on any more. The Tech cleaned them and they work perfectly now. Best of all. It didn't cost me anything to have them look at my device. It took about 30 minutes to clean them. They gave Recommended for me to bring them in every 3 months for a cleaning. Great customer service. Friendly staff. My husband is very hard of hearing, has had hearing aides for 20+ years! We recently had to change to a new practitioner due to being on MediCare. We both had our hearing tested, my husband's was as expected. Even though I have some age-related hearing loss, there was no hard sell for me to purchase hearing aides. The tech explained the various options available to my husband, he made his choice and the order was placed. They came into the office on time, we went to pick them up, all of the functions were explained and they are working great. Very happy with this office!! read more

A couple of years ago, after a different establishment was unable to fix a problem with one of my old hearing aids and suggested I get a new pair. I drove the extra distance here in one last hope that they could be fixed. They took them from my hands and, fifteen minutes later, returned with the annoying whistling problem resolved! Recently, I returned to get fitted with an upgraded pair and again discovered the people working at this hearing center to be top-notch. They really took the time to perfectly match my new hearing aids to my exact frequency deficiencies, resulting in significant improvement. They are exceptionally courteous and kind. I called office to inquire on having custom earplugs made and they were able to set up same day appointment. Upon arriving to the office I was greeted kindly and asked to fill out a brief form. I waited only a few minutes and then was greeted by Laurie Van Duivenbode Au.D., CCC-A. We had a very casual but on point conversation on why I was looking to have earplugs. I felt at ease and very comfortable and was very happy that she was giving me good sound advise. She then prepped me to have the wax molds made and was able to send me off with some other sleeping tips. Talking with Laurie was very easy and I left the office feeling confident and happy. This post is to rectify a prior post on 05-18-22 Mr. Jenkins reached out to me today, he invited me to come in and discuss my concerns. He was present, and empathetic. There was no His sincerity was evident from the first moment we met. I wish all professionals were as caring to go the extra distance not to keep me as a patient but instead to "clean up" a negative experience. Brought my mom here for the second time and everything went smoothly. They were punctual and Stephanie was so sweet and patient with my mom while she conducted her hearing test. If you're coming here for a hearing test and hearing aid, be prepared to pay in full and get reimbursed by your insurance company. read more

Excellent care from Dr. Laurie and her support staff, especially Vicki who does her absolute best to work you in on short notice to get your new hearing aids adjusted. Great office with excellent customer service. Very honest and ethical. I have Menier's Disease and progressive severe hearing loss for over 6 years now as of 5/2016. I have been wearing hearing aids for over 5 years and have been to at least 6 different hearing aid offices and have ordered hearing aids over the Internet X 2. I am in the medical profession and like to think that I known what I am doing regarding my health and hearing. FYI you can check out my 20+ YouTube videos under my name about Menier's that I created in 2011. Honestly, the whole hearing aid industry can be somewhat of a scam or borderline unethical in that many offices try to mark up prices of hearing aids or try to sell you extremely expensive aids that are not beneficial. The opposite is also true = can get very cheap hearing aids or buy them on Internet, but then you will not be getting the quality fitting and service needed. THIS STORE IS DIFFERENT = not only VERY HONESY AND VERY ETHICAL but also Professional and personal. This Hear USA office is the best. Great customer service, friendly staff and fast responsiveness. The hearing professional is very knowledgable and customizes all hearing aids individually. Yes you can order hearing aids cheaper from the Internet or go to Costco. However, I highly recommend that you go to a hearing professional who truly knows what they are doing. What I love about this particular Hear USA office in Torrance is that they are very professional, knowledgeable and do not try to "hard sell" you on expensive equipment that you may not need or benefit. The receptionist was the opposite of receptive. My first impression was that she didn't want customers. She was very disagreeable. The facility was clean but it has a cheap feel. Their instructions were also bad. I made my appointment by phone. The person I talked to insisted that I bring someone to serve as a familiar voice for part of the testing. I brought a coworker. 30 minutes into my visit, my coworker wasn't doing anything except helping me deal with the nasty receptionist. I asked if he needed to be there and they said no. That was a waste of time and poor communication. The only thing I liked about my experience was the clinician, Michelle. It turned out that Michelle was filling in for someone and normally works in Huntington Beach. I will not go back. read more
