Reason for meeting with Dr. Yoshpe: ENT services My 6 year old daughter had major breathing problems at night due to swollen tonsils. After trying allergy meds and amoxicillin for her swollen tonsils the final decision was to remove her tonsils all together. BEST DECISION WE COULD HAVE MADE! Description of overall experience: Dr. Yoshpe was extremely helpful and informative throughout the process. I felt my daughter was safe in Dr. Yoshpe's hands. The procedure was very quick and within 45 minutes I was able to be right by my daughter's side as the anesthesia began to wear off. Dr. Yoshpe checked in on my daughter and myself within the hour after the surgery and the very next day I received a phone call as well with her checking in on my daughter's progress. To me that spoke volumes! Doctors/Surgeons who go out of their way to make house calls checking in on their patients are very rare these days. In this day and age professionals tend to be impersonal, so to find a doctor who reaches out to a patient out of pure genuine care and concern is truly meaningful. I appreciate everything Dr. Yoshpe has done for my daughter. Ever since her surgery she no longer struggles to breath at night, she has had less "allergy induced" cold symptoms and she has not snored one bit since her tonsils have been removed. I had previously undergone a septoplasty, and this was listed first under the "surgeries" section in the paperwork that I filled out in the outer office prior to seeing him. Since this incident, more aptly described as trauma to my nose, my nose has been swollen and there's now a whistling noise when breathing like what occurred in the pre-septoplasty days. Since hearing loss is a contributing factor in dementia, I was very much hoping to get her hearing tested and find out ASAP if her hearing was an issue. I was called back by Crystal who took some information and then asked for insurance. They did not accept my girlfriend's insurance and gave me another facility to call. I told her that I still wanted to get my girlfriend's hearing checked and was brushed off by Crystal saying it's not your best use of time to come in. I told her I would still like to come in, but she kept pushing back and become quite indignant telling me it's not the best use of your time and I needed to call the other facility repeatedly. The truth was, it was not in Crystal's best interest. If you offer free hearing tests, you should honor it regardless. I was very insulted by her lack of courtesy and honesty. I usually do not write reviews unless a line has been crossed. In this case, I felt that the claim of a free hearing test was not forthright. It should be free hearing tests only if we take your insurance! If Crystal was honest and stated this fact rather than out right refusing to accommodate us and making it seem like she was doing me a favor, I would not be writing this review. I was left with a sour taste for more than 20+ years of my life and Yes I am alive. Like many doctors they have their own specialty where they are great at it. I will not take that away from doctor Colman. There is a big issue here and I agree with everyone that wrote their bad experience with Dr. Colman because it is True, I experienced his rudeness and cold blooded heart so they are 100% right. It is not a good feeling to be treated with no manners, rudeness, coldness voice and disrespectfulness . No, it is totally unacceptable for a professional Dr. to treat their patients that way. Doctors are supposed to help, to be compassionate, to make us understand if we are ignorants and treat us with respect! I sympathize with everybody that had the bad experience with Dr. Marc Colman but you are not the only one as you can read. He is a surgeon that wants to go straight to business and don't waste his time, for what I read and I experienced my self . A quick story, I had one child at that time when I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer so obviously questions happened and brutally it was answered just by asking the pros and cons " You will Never have kids anymore " with coldness in his voice. How brutal, I felt like someone stubbed me in the heart. With time I proved him wrong I had another child without a thyroid!! That was my Miracle baby and Dr. Colman is just a man and he needs to be careful how he treats his patients. The music seems like it is a looped track that I got to hear repeat. Maybe not, but it seemed like it! It's like jazzy easy listening elevator music. I've been here for an hour and a half and hubby was escorted in about 10 minutes ago. He had a hearing test and got back in the waiting area waiting for the doctor consult next. Then we came here with the current owners and they were always rude, did not care about my grandma hearing correctly, and basically turned the hearing aids way up without checking how she felt with them... cutting corners.
