Recommending calling ahead to make an appointment, as this place stays busy with walk-ins, especially on weekend afternoons. Not fancy by any means, but conveniently located with late hours. Had a 20 min chair massage ($30) which was done laying done. The masseuse was very thorough despite the limited time, quickly honing in and working out areas of neck/back tension. Fairly reasonably priced for the work, but the longer sessions appear to be better values for the time. read more

I have a gift card from Heaven Tea Leaf & Foot Spa in Grover Beach. This company would not accept the gift card and said there are new owners. However, this page, the signage outside, and the phone number are identical to those on the gift card. I asked if they would take 50% of the card, and I was told no. I asked to speak with the owner, and then the person said she does not speak English, although I thought she spoke and understood me. This company is not worth the hassle! I called in this morning to go in for an 80 minute full body massage. I was greeted by a nice lady who took me to the room. I got ready for my massage and as soon as I laid down, I noticed some loud noises coming from either room next door or the business next door. It was a lot of banging. The massage started and I told her to please focus on my upper back and shoulders. She quickly asked if it was okay to walk on my back. I said yes. She was walking all over my body for what felt like forever. It was starting to get painful so I said something. She apologized and continued. She finally moved on to my shoulder. Her skin was rubbing roughly on mine. There wasn't enough oil or something. It didn't feel good. Then I noticed she was massaging my actually shoulder blade bone, no muscles. I had enough and told her I wanted to be done. She asked me to repeat and I did. She said ok and walked out. I headed to the front and eventually a gentlemen came and asked what happened. I told him it didn't feel right and she was walking on my back a whole 30 minutes; and the noises next door didn't help. He then brought another lady out who offered to give me a massage that would focus more on neck and shoulders. I declined. They charged me more 35 minutes. Literally charged me for the couple of minutes I was standing there talking to them about the issue. This was definitely my worst massage experience. I'm giving it 2 stars for their understanding but I will have to find a new spot. read more

The last few times I have felt as if there has been some dishonesty with cost. Tonight was the same. Mid massage my therapist asked me if I would like Chinese essential oil, I could have done without but felt rude declining so I said sure. The upcharge was ten dollars. I think it is unfair not to let the client know there will be an additional cost. 70 dollars is a little steep for 55 minutes when there are ten interruptions by coworkers. 10/10, 5 stars!! Lucy and Perry are fantastic massage therapists. I have been coming here for years and had a massage last night with Lucy and it was one of the best massages I've ever had. You can always decline having them walk on your back, but it helps me so much. The compression is something you have to breathe through and trust your therapist because it is meant to break up initial tension in your body so they can better massage with their hands once your muscles are warmed up. They are right next to a pizza joint, so if you are sensitive to sounds, ask for a room on the left and you won't hear the workers next door. Just communicate what you prefer and they are always happy to accommodate. Remember, they are trained professionals, but they also source their methods from generations of their culture practicing this art form. There is a difference between mere relaxing Swedish massage (which they can also provide) and myotherapy body work which you may experience short term discomfort for much needed long term relief. 10/10, 5 stars!! read more

Perry and Cindy were great!! My husband had Perry as his massage therapist for a deep tissue massage, Perry walked on his back which he really appreciated. He also helped adjust my husbands knee. Perry is a "natural healer" according to my husband. I had Cindy as my massage therapist and she was great too, she used some healing massage oil which was an extra $10. I'm not sure it would have been much different than regular oil. I am 7 weeks post delivering a baby and it was nice getting my pressure points worked on. I had heard people get offered tea after their service, unfortunately we did not get that. read more

This was amazing! I got a massage from Vivi today and she was so great! She listened to where I hurt the most and she is SO STRONG! This was at the end of the day so I'm sure she was tired from other massages but you wouldn't have known. They also can walk on your back using these bars to hold on to up top which is a cool touch. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting an inexpensive but wonderful massage. The massage was great but really intense. I had a male masseuse and I normally like deep tissue but he didn't ask me what pressure I wanted and sort of went IN on my body. At some points, I was grateful for the pressure but at others, I felt like crying or screaming lol I should have spoken up and I didn't which was my fault. He walked on my back which felt good at some parts but again was very intense in other parts and I wish he reduced pressure. My back cracked a bunch when he was walking on it, so he knew what he was doing. I have a really tense body and maybe he felt it and thought I needed to get beat up to loosen up lol. I'm really sore in some areas today which never happens. Also they asked me to give them more tip after I signed my receipt which I thought was a bit odd. I would go back but tell them to reduce pressure significantly. read more

My husband and I were in town for the weekend and decided to get massages here. The lady I initially made the appointments with was very nice. When we arrived, it was another lady who greeted us and took us to our rooms. I originally wanted 30 minutes of foot reflexology and 1.5 hours of full body massage but she didn't seem to understand so I said never mind and just went with "2 hours" of full body. We decided to try cupping as well since my husband has never tried it. The lady who worked on me was decent. No issues there. However, my back seemed to be the focus and not anywhere else. The lady (who I believe also greeted us) who worked on my husband on the other hand, not so much. He described the massage as rough and painful, and the cupping was even worse for him. I'm pretty sure cupping isn't supposed to leave your back looking like this! He said it's as painful as it looks! The photo attached isn't even 12 hours after the massage. What made it worse was we paid for 2 hours but only got 1.5 hours of a massage! When we paid, the lady who greeted us took my husbands card to charge, then when he tried to leave a tip, she pointed to some worn down poster on the wall and said, "massage good right? 18-25% tip only." Like what?! He looked at her and said that's all I have, and she refused to give him his card back! After about a minute, she realized she wasn't going to win, she gave my husbands card back and said "maybe next time you tip more." All my husband and I could do was laugh at how unbelievable our experience was at this place. What a joke. Don't waste your time or money. read more

I called on a Thursday for a Saturday appointment with Cindy- when I hung up I wasn't too confident the lady understood me. When I arrived, I said I have an appt with Cindy- the lady looked confused and showed me to my room where I'm now for sure I'm not seeing Cindy. I asked the person her name and if Cindy no longer works there and she didn't seem to understand me and she said no and again I'm not confident if that's true. I have had at least 100 massages in my life and never left one checking for bruises or burns- the whole massage was grinding with her thumbs, my shoulder blades are extremely sore now. The hot stones are WAY too hot. I don't think she is knowledgeable about anatomy and physiology. Too bad I won't be back because other spa type places are more than twice the price but I would rather save up and treat myself to a professional and relaxing experience. read more

I booked two body massages last week and was pretty excited about it as we are on vacation from East Bay.l and the reviews seems solid. While my partner had a great and relaxing massage, mine came nothing close. My review is based on my services, not both my partner and I. My massage therapist started it okay but within a few mins, the pressure became less and no real routine to her massages. She would spend a lot of time on one area to the point it seems like she forgot she's doing a body massage so she goes to do the other side but is rush so it didn't feel as relaxing or nice. Once she got to my lower back and using her elbows...ooof, she was all over my spine, I squealed and let her know but she kept finding herself on my spine. She said sorry, you're so tiny...and I thot that was strange cuz regardless of how small or big a person is, you should know where the spine is and to avoid it, as a massage therapist. In all honestly, I should have stopped the massage but it's was my partner's birthday, actual birthday and didn't feel it was appropriate to make a scene in front of him. The massage continued to be lack luster and just overall, I felt CHEATED for paying $65/hr. After the massage was even worst: I went to tip $10 her but she demanded that I tip her minimum $15 (minimum of 25% tip is expected regardless is how good or bad your massage is...scam much??). I said to her that tip is based on service and well, your service/massage was awful. I spoke to the manager or owner of the place and I'm appalled. What a joke and scam to be "working" like that as if that was your best efforts. Truly disappointed, no discount and no apologies. Luckily for us, we do not live in the area so we will not be returning. read more

Perry is so good! The is the second time I had full body massage with Perry. The last time I was there was my trip to Pismo Beach last year when I had pinched nerve around my neck. The pain radiated from my shoulder to my arm. It had been going on for weeks. Perry knew the exact locations of the pressure points.l to apply pressure. He stepped on my back as well. It was painful during the message. The pain significantly reduced the following day. Last week we were in Pismo Beach. I had another appointment with Perry. The tennis/golfer elbow had been bothering me. He massaged my injured elbow and the pain level reduced. I had a follow on appointment with him the following day before heading back home. We come here fairly regularly. About once every 2 weeks. We get the hour long foot massage and it's consistently good. I've only have one really terrible massage but I haven't seen that person since. They have a nice selection of teas that you can try and buy if you like. The cinnamon is my favorite. They take walk-ins but to be guaranteed a spot I would call ahead as they tend to get busy in the afternoons. The owners are very nice and the prices are reasonable.
