After trying to grow natural grass in our backyard for years, we finally decided to go with artificial turf. I had multiple quotes and Purchase Green was the best. Their turf was a lot less florescent than others, which I like. From the time I called them to the time the job was completed was less than a week. They came out for an estimate within a day, gave me the quote on site during the estimate, and scheduled the job for the following week. Granted, they conveniently had a cancellation and my job was only a one day job, but I was extremely impressed. Everyone we dealt with was professional, friendly, and efficient. I purchased the turf here to install it myself. Baljit at the store helped me choose the right turf for the great price. He made the entire purchase very easy. I had the layout of the areas where I plan to install and when Baljit saw my plan he recommended to get the estimate instead of directly purchasing so that someone can come home and do the measurements. Thanks to Baljit. By doing that I saved a lot. My initial estimate (in sqft) was more than what I actually needed . Ryan came home and did all the exact measurements and suggested which piece would go where and in what direction and did the cuts and markings on the rolls. This really helped a lot while installing as I purchased 2 different varieties (as in few areas I needed a turf with shorted blade height so it will be easy to blow the leafs) and for multiple locations (over 2500 sqft). 5 star to both Baljit Samra and Ryan Bartell. They have a great turf selection and the quality is much better than other turf stores in that area. Shipping was quick. Overall awesome experience. read more

My brother used their artificial grass product for his large backyard when he had the entire yard landscaped in 2012. By 2018, we noticed the grass breaking into small pieces that would get stuck on our feet, clothes, hair, etc. My brother called the installers in 2019/2020 to have it looked at because it was within the 10 year warranty. They repeatedly said they would send somebody out, but nobody would ever come. At one point they said it was because of the pandemic, but in 2022, my brother was fed up and called in to say it was for a new installation (not under warranty) and someone came out immediately. That person said they don't do warranties and they would let their team know so we would hear back soon. Not surprising, but we did not hear back. So I submitted a complaint and somebody finally responded. They basically told us that this is our 10th year and that Purchase Green would not honor the warranty. They said they would do the installation but Purchase Green is refusing to provide the replacement product under warranty. Purchase Green themselves say that their artificial grass turning into powder after 6-7 years is normal wear and tear. They essentially said they would not honor the warranty and would not provide the replacement material, which is insane given the owner says on their Yelp page that their artificial grass should last 15-25 years but you're covered under a limited lifetime warranty. Ours barely lasted 5 years... and I'm wondering how safe it is for people to breath in powdered fake grass. While we intend to take additional action, I feel compelled to warn fellow consumers... I'm no expert in artificial grass, but I don't think it should break into pieces/ powder after 5-6 years, and I can't imagine that it's safe to lay on/ run around on, and breath in. TLDR: Buyer beware: they do not honor their warranty. Their warranty states, "Residential projects: Years 1-8 (100%); Years 9-12 (50%); Years 13-15 (25%); Years 16+ (15%)" They would not even honor the pro-rated amount which falls in the 50% category today. I preferred the look and feel of one of their turfs, but they overestimated my square footage (253 ft.²) compared to another company who measured my square footage at 207 ft.². That's a significant difference. I left two messages within a week of one another, but no one ever called me back. The tone of the voicemail greeting is also unprofessional as if it's a high school girl's phone (something about "super-awesome service"). So weird. read more

I had these guys do everything. They took out the old grass, graded, prepped, etc. The grass looks great and I love the solar lights. Their product is terrific. Their installation was slightly cheaper than using my landscape guy. Plus, their work is guaranteed. The only thing they need to do is to communicate better. The bid was competitive and in the same market as all the others, but the grass was the seller. It's not plastic and too shiny, and the blades are different widths and colors. I just had artificial grass installed from Purchase green. I had a great experience with Josh who was initially assigned to this project and after we agreed on a quote, the variables involved, installation proceeded, and got completed. All went well so far, and am happy with the outcome - Thanks to Purchase Green, but its too soon to give a 5 star. I'll be sharing my experience as time goes and update the review accordingly. Few areas that I was disappointed with the quality of communication and to address queries as work progressed at site: 1) Poor communication as they pass the baton from an estimator to a project manager, a lead installer and back to the manager who is overseeing all this effort - there is a ball drop at every layer and to connect those dots, its an effort that you have to take up on your own, and it becomes ugly that you are sharing the info what was shared to you. 2) Miscommunication between the manager and the project manager and after I heard the story, it was not right and they become one team leaving the customer in an odd state. 3) No final inspection was done by the project manager who said will come and do it, but when pointed this information, got defensive. In summary, the crew did good work but could have improved on communication, addressing queries effectively as they came up and if there is a change in work (reduced effort) then accounting and updating it, than not. .. Update: Josh and Malia followed up and apologized for all the communication issues and took care of what's needed. Upping my star! read more

We love our new front yard, it's completely transformed the look and usability of the entire area! We got the Bluegrass Pro grass. Our kids having been rolling around on it daily when they get home from school. We get compliments from all our neighbors and have convinced a few of them that artificial grass can look great and be practical. So on to the details... Like any renovation work, there will always bumps and issues that pop up along the way... this was no exception. However, I give Purchase Green 5 stars because of their professionalism, responsiveness and desire to get things right. First off, I got 4 estimates and ultimately went with Purchase Green because of the great impression that Josh left when he came by to provide me an estimate. He came with samples and talked me through the entire process. Josh wan't pushy, just gave me the facts and provided me a prompt and reasonable estimate. The issue came when they began excavating the dirt in my yard and came upon unexpected concrete and large rocks. Jose promptly showed up and worked with his team to get the right equipment to remove the concrete/rocks. This was unexpected additional scope of work through no fault of theirs, but I was disappointed nonetheless (not at them but the extra scope). The point here is they talked me through the issue, the options and what it would take to fix the issue. This helped me think through the options and be happy with the path forward. After the job was complete, there were a few things I wanted Jose's team to adjust. Note that I'm very particular about straight lines and how things looked (i.e. spacing around tree and my irrigation system). I'd say their work was already great, but these adjustments would have been the icing that put the big smile on my face. I called Malia at their office and she was super pleasant and really wanted to make sure I was satisfied. She sent her crew the next day to make the adjustments. I was particularly impressed with how communicative they were during this whole experience... it took the stress out of the entire experience. In many of my other renovation projects, I'd have to chase down the contractor and leave multiple messages but this just felt like the opposite experience. So while I'd give 5 stars for their product alone, I simply had a unexpectedly great experience with their customer service and was pleased with the entire install process. read more

Salesman John was very thorough. He had a wide range of turf product samples in a large enough size, so you could get a good idea of what you were purchasing. He explained the process and produced a quote within a couple of days. I remote-signed the contract and mailed in my deposit. They set up an install date a couple of months out, but they kept to that date. Their installers were amazing. The yard was 800 square feet and change, and they managed to remove the topsoil and install the crushed stone base before lunch, and were done installing the turf by the end of the day. I would not even give One Star, but no other option. Purchase Green delivered recycled material to our property, NOT the Class 2 base that was in the contract. Went got my DIY Artificial grass here. Guys were very friendly and knowledgeable. They also gave me helpful tips on my DIY install. I gave them 4 stars just because i think they need a better billing system and one of my roll was 1ft short. Just getting to the system to get my refund took longer to process. This was because of the refund of 1 ft shortage, items I didn't use and the rent of the power broom. This review is a follow-up to the 5-star rating I left on Yelp just after installation. We needed a way to deal with our weed farm. Both front and back yards were heavily overgrown. We weren't willing to become gardeners or to hire gardeners; we decided to pursue artificial grass for our family's health and safety. Knowing one of the employees, I called Purchase Green. As we walked the yard with them, we asked if we needed to clear the weeds before work began and they said that they would take care of it when they remove the top 4" for their installation. We asked if we should treat with weed killer and they assured us that their installation of stone, base rock, and weed barrier would take care of it. We decided to go forward with the project and purchased a product that was closer to the top of the line than not. Work began. Due to no fault of their own, they uncovered a significant sewer problem that delayed their work by a few weeks. Plumber finished, and grass guys got back to work. You can see how beautiful the finished product looked in the Purchase Green photos on Yelp numbered 3, 14 and 26 of 69. We were delighted! Until a few months later when oxalis began showing its ugly leaves around the borders of the yard. I'm not surprised about that and used the plucking of the edge weed as my zen time. Sadly, the growth of the wicked weed did not stay around the edges. Now, just a few months after installation, the oxalis is growing through the fibergrass. Now that's way, way out of my zenzone. I contacted purchase green about the problem and here's their answer: "I spoke with my management team regarding the oxalis coming up. Generally speaking, you shouldn't have a problem with weeds popping up everywhere, and we don't often hear issues of weeds coming up but they do happen occasionally. As a courtesy for our installations, we do add a weed barrier layer underneath the base rock to help with preventing weed growth. I know your yard had a specifically heavy weed issue, so it is certainly possible that they come back to a certain degree -- again, not common, but possible. "To address the weeds, we have heard some success with Roundup. You want to make sure you are using something with a more neutral pH (5.0-9.0), and it is best to test it on a small sample left over or a small spot in the back corner where discoloration wouldn't be noticed. Again, just make sure to test it out on a small sample first to make sure it doesn't discolor the grass and follow the instructions on the container. "We generally don't service weeds since our warranty doesn't cover plant or animal-related issues, but I would be happy to have our crew come out and try to help with treating the weeds next time they're in the area if you think it would be helpful." The weed barrier is a courtesy? The only place I can imagine it wouldn't be necessary is on concrete or a sterile soil. We had a specifically heavy weed issue. Yes, that's why we checked and checked again to be sure we didn't need to clear and treat the ground first. They said we didn't. Their suggestion? Roundup!? Really?! *The* Monsanto Roundup? And the strongest one at that! So now it seems that my choices are to become our home's gardener or to hire someone to come pick the weeds that are growing around and between our $18K fake grass. Not at all what I expected and certainly not the resolution I want. What do you think? I would have attached a photo or two, but I just completed this week's no-longer-zentime before I was reminded to leave my experience on Yelp, and there's none of the weed currently showing. This is an UPDATE on my original (poor) Review of the Product - FESCUE SUPREME. This (HONEST) review is of the Product itself, not the Installer (Genesis Landscaping, Santa Clara, Ca.) We had 1,100 sq ft. of Purchase Green "FESCUE SUPREME" Turf. The Landscaping Co. highly recommended it around our Pool area. The install went fairly well. The crew did a great job & it looked very professional when it was all done. It was yes, expensive ... but not quite the price of other quotes from places like Heavenly Green, etc. Now here is my warning/suggestion for anyone considering artificial turf. Do your homework. Don't just listen to the suggestions/recommendation of a landscaping company. Purchase Green has many choices of artificial turf. Some are advised for High Traffic vs Low Traffic areas. Some don't get as HOT (as ours does). Had we had the opportunity to actually RESEARCH the choices on their web site, we would NOT have installed this specific turf around our Pool. A lot of the Turf Blades are flattened down in higher traffic areas, and the summer heat really makes this specific turf HOT to the feet (pool side). A spray of water every half hour during high sun helps cool this. We unfortunately learned all this AFTER Travis (and store mgr) made a special trip to our house to see the issue first hand. They were great - and I highly recommend their store/business. They are very knowledgeable and should be consulted BEFORE you settle on a specific turf. Unfortunately the turf is installed & not much we can do about it now. So buyer beware - do your homework to make sure you have the correct Turf for the area you're having it installed. Update: after seeing my review Travis reached out to me (Travis helped set up the project in the beginning, and has always been great) offering to resolve the issue immediately. With his help, they fixed the issue within days. After 5 months of working with Purchase green, this is how it rolls out: Travis is pretty on point, consistent and great communicator. Installation crews are really good - fast, courteous, on time. Product seems to be good quality (we will see how it holds up!). Eric and Jeremy both struggled with proactive communication which ultimately led to so many of the issues during the project. In my mind, these are good guys (they were always friendly, etc), but direct feedback from my experience might help head off issues for future customers. read more
