I had called to book an appointment for a month down the road, the receptionist gave me a date and I had asked to make sure this date is available as I would have to ask my manager to take time off in advance. The receptionist gave me re-assurance so I had asked to take time off from work. 1.5 weeks later, I get a call from the receptionist stating "we are sorry, but we made a mistake and the doctor will not be in during your appointment date and you will have to make another appointment". I found this to be highly unprofessional as it took them 1.5 weeks later to inform me that they had made a mistake, on top of the fact that I had to rework my schedule and the schedule of my work colleagues because they were not able to keep track of their own calendar.

Was told that they no longer take blue view and that they could do my eye exam but when it came to my glasses I would need to go to their sister location or somewhere else. I was planning on going to their sister location. The day of my appointment I was told my copay was $90. $30 for my annual eye exam and another $60 for them to just give me my prescriptio. that's ridiculous. It's my prescription. It's not my fault they no longer take the insurance. Especially if I was going to their sister store for my glasses. I will never go back there.

In fact, there are 5 different tiers of contact pricing, so that helped me figure out what would fit me best. In addition, they let me try a certain type of contacts for 4 days and come back in to determine if it was a good fit and feel for me. That little gesture really helped solidify my confidence and eased the pain of the cost. Dr. Lindower was very kind and efficient without making me feel rushed. The other two people working here who helped during my appointment - I forget their names! - were also very nice. You could tell they do the same sequence with most of their patients, but I felt cared for and not just another paying customer. They answered my questions along the way and were very descriptive about what a certain test or a certain liquid was for. It was a little challenging getting a first-time appointment, but there was a lot more flexibility for the follow-up appointment. Definitely call with a bunch of time leeway in mind. I believe the hesitation was to consider if it was "safe" to make the joke that he did. The shop is not a large space and I did not want to lose my temper and escalate anything, so I pretended to laugh and told him I needed my relatives' approval before buying anything. Well. I have a lot of racist relatives. They would defend this man. I won't. I will not give him money, theirs, mine, or anyone else's. It's sad to hear a local business owner and operator, otherwise welcoming, kind and polite, talk like that because it undoes his kindness--he's only willing to show it to people who look like he does. The only time I felt the doctor was giving an in-depth look at what was going on with my eyes. They offer you two additional exams that insurance does not pay for, but they are not expensive and worth it for the amount of detail analysis/images they are able to get on your eyes. I am post-op day 5 from my Lasik procedure. I was nervous about doing the procedure and put it off…read morefor years. I can't say enough great things about LasikPlus and the procedure itself. It lasted a total of 9 minutes! And my vision is 20/15 across the board. My eyesight was -5.5 in both eyes and I had astigmatism, I had been a glasses wearer my entire life. There's nothing like waking up everyday and being able to see unassisted. If you're doubting doing the procedure, just do it! Only thing I would say is give yourself a day or two off from work after the procedure to rest your eyes and be sure to take your eye drops every couple of hours as they recommend. They say you can go to work the next day, but don't. I worked the very next day after my procedure and my eyes were quite tired. I do have to look at a computer screen for most of my work so there's the caveat there. I have no regrets about this procedure and you won't either!
