The hamburgers were really good and we liked the fries. The restaurant was pretty clean. The menu had a great selection. However, the kids menu is too small. My son had to get a grown up $10 burger because there wasn't a kids burger. We were disappointed with the queso appetizer. Overall, the restaurant is pricey. For locals trying to support a restaurant in a small town to stay open that's okay I guess. However we were here at Jellystone camping and came to town to eat. For the money we paid, there are so many places in the Houston area that we would prefer to go to. Overall still glad we tried it. read more

This was a mistake...waited an hour for food. The place had 6 tables sat at the time we were in the restaurant. When we finally got the food the burgers were charred beyond the point of being edible. Sent them back and after another 20 minutes finally got our food. They were still extra well done and not that great. Extremely disappointing meal and instead of the "manager" coming over and apologizing she sent the waitress over to offer free nachos or dessert. When you screw up the least you could do is come apologize in person...not have the waitstaff do it. That is NOT their job. We will definitely keep driving next time we pass by this place. read more

A little off the beaten path in a small town but decent food for the price. Not sure I could recommend but their isn't much choice in the town of Waller Texas. Had the fish tacos and mixed vegetables. The tacos were ok and the mix vegetables were sautéed in bacon grease- which is a little different but had a good taste. Wouldn't make a special trip to eat there but wouldn't avoid it either. It's either this, Pizza Hut, Subway, Popeyes, Jack in the Box, Sonic or one Mexican restaurant. I had a great experience at the Hedgehog grill today. The service was great and everyone was incredibly friendly. I ordered the Southwest Burger and loved it. The burger was huge and they did not skimp on the fixings. The atmosphere is relaxed. The weather was nice enough today for the windows to be open, which was a great added touch to the overall atmosphere. I give them 4 stars because they have a good model. The service is outstanding. I had the bacon cheeseburger with cheddar. The bacon was thick, a bit burned which I kind of liked. The meat was oddly dry. The bun was dry too. It was still tasty though. Worth a go. It wont change your life. It isn't the greatest burger ever. But it is a cool, small, local business putting out food better than their chain counterparts, and doing it all with genuine smiles, and friendly waves. I ordered the shrimp and grits. Not only was it not good, the shrimp smelled too fishy. I ate some of the grits but was afraid to eat the shrimp. A friend ordered the gumbo. More like a stew, it had a lot of shredded meat, we didn't see any seafood and not very good at all. However, my husband and other friends ordered hamburgers and said they were very good. My family enjoyed the food we all got burgers and we all couldn't come up for air because they were so good also the fries were on point and the chili burger was so good the chili wasn't onion flavored more meat flavor. The next time we went we got the fried chicken which instead of buying the adult meal for $8 you should order two kids chicken nuggets you get more chicken nuggets and delicious fries. The appetizer were also a bonus my brother and I loved the cheese sticks they tasted real and not the frozen kind. And my dad who is very meticulous about his chicken wings could not get enough they actually looked like chicken wings and the sauce was the perfect amount of hot. We found this little place here on Yelp and it is a great place to eat. We loved the atmosphere as a casual place and the staff was so friendly. We loved everything we ate from appetizer to the dessert. The Loaded Queso was delicious and I really enjoyed the homemade Onion Rings with my TBA sandwich (Turkey,Bacon,Avocado). Review update: The first time i ate here it wasnt too bad, good service and good atmosphere. The second time i ate here the food was absolutely horrible, the soup was lukewarm and the BLT was greasy, and the queso was just plain gross. I decided to give this place a third time, i tired the turkey bacon alvocato salad, i was so disappointed. There was bearly any toppings and for a $10 salad thats just rediculous. You can go to salata for $8 and get a bunch of toppings. Also this time the service was horrible, we waited to get our order taken for way too long. Normally i understand if the restaurant is busy, but there was literally one other couple there. They were too busy chating amongst themselfs to give us proper service. I will literally never come here again, if anyone asked me how i like the place i always tell them to not waste thier time! Delicious burgers! It may seem pricey at first glance, but both my husband and I took home half our burgers and sides, so, we ended up with two meals off it! My sister and I stayed the night in Waller, TX on our way to Chappell Hill, TX for the Bluebonnet Festival. We wanted a good place to eat dinner but didn't know what to expect from such a small town as Waller. We chanced it, and went for a burger at the HedgeHog Grill. We were pleasantly surprised. It was a great experience on every level. The service, the waiters, the building, and the food - OMG it was delicious! I had a burger and my sister had a mushroom burger. We had onion rings and they were hand-battered and huge. They were out of this world. This was one of the best dining experiences we have had on our many trips. read more

Very disappointed in this establishment. The gumbo was disgusting rice was hard and crunchy. Roux was brunt and so was the sausage in the gumbo. The crackers was stell as well. The manager told us we would receive a free meal the day we decide to get it the owner says they cant do that. This is the best restaurant in the city of Waller, Texas. It is sort of hidden away, located on old highway 290 near the post office, so it may be hard to find for travelers. Most of the Waller eateries off of 290 freeway ... are nothing to rave about. So it is worth "finding" this place. read more
