We ordered the Liz's special with tenders and mac n cheese. We were greeted immediately and they were very nice. The customer service was great. The food came out pretty quickly and it was nice and hot. The tenders tasted great and fresh but the mac n cheese tasted a bit watery and bland.

I was in town on business and craving to sample good southern food. I must say out of all the places I sampled I really enjoyed this spot. The chicken fried steak smothered in gravy was amazing! The fried okra, mac and cheese - delicious! Had a couple of beers and spent a little time talking to Joel behind the bar - super nice and humble guy. I really appreciated the service here. This place had a super chill vibe, an extremely friendly staff, great food, great beer selection. It is definitely worth a stop if you're in that area.

Classic burger with cheese and the Bacon Cheese Burger! Their sauce was delicious and the fries tasted homemade. Seasoned to perfection.

I think I've been here 4 times, and I do believe this is the best spot to eat in Waller. Burgers are really solid, and this last time I tried the BBQ chicken sandwich. While a little different than most I've had (see pics), it was delicious. Sweet potato fries are very good. Fried pickles are awesome. Service is sweet and personable. On one visit, service was very spread thin, but I can't fault them for that - it's so common these days. Pretty good beer selection for such a small place. Little covered patio that's dog friendly. I'll keep seeking this place out every time I'm in the area. Solid little local spot - very popular.

Most disgusting food item ever ordered, & attempted to consume. They, literally, fried the bread with the shrimp. BREAD FRIED!!! Do you know what happens to Italian or French bread when it comes into contact with liquid? It soaks it up! Yup. A half a loaf of bread with soaked up oil. absolutely disgusting. The chicken "tenders" were dried up & burned. The child refused to eat them. We tried them & understood why. We did not pay for them. We also had sirloin steak & I had something I don't even remember. I am very grateful for one thing, I don't live anywhere near this place, & I know I'll never ever have to go back. Btw, I spoke to the owner & he said he was trying new ways to make the po-boys. I told him to NEVER fry a loaf of bread again.

    Beet and restaurant.

Awesome little place. Excellent wait staff, cold beer and delicious food. The locals were warm and inviting. Definitely, coming back the next time I'm in town.

Bacon and cheese burger with mashed potatoes and cream gravy. Indulging but delicious.

Pricey!! Pretty high prices for par food. Nice people but high prices. Don't think a return trip is in order.

Food is decent, not super exciting. Good selection of beer. Pricey though, bacon cheeseburger, fries and a beer is $20.

They do not serve hotdogs I repeat - they do not serve hot dogs!…read more They serve much more than that. I came here for an event and was surprised at how good and fresh the food was. The staff was so attentive and knowledgeable on all the foods. It's American food, but they do a lot of fusion, so there was something for everyone. My favorite of the night was the loco moco fried rice and the lemon cheesecake! The cheesecake was zesty and not overly sweet, which I appreciated because it let me taste all the distinct flavors going on. The curry chicken salad with chickpeas I know my husband would've loved, I ate it for him lol. I don't know what it was but the bottom of it had a dressing that made it very delectable. I was on the outside on the patio that had a large fireplace and it was so cozy, I can imagine it being very inviting during winter time. Even though I drove from Cypress to Richmond, it was worth the drive. The general manager was super friendly and I learned they have a Cypress location so you know where I'll be going!

This was a very disappointing experience tonight, which is interesting because last time I came…read morehere it was amazing and over the top quality. First, tonight my family and I came into the restaurant and were not greeted by any hostess or employee for about 7-10 minutes. We understood though because everyone seemed to be in a rush since it was busy. We patiently waited then we were finally seated. Our server took our drink orders first as usual, got us our drinks then walked away. We waited a good while for her to come back since we were wanting to order an appetizer, and that took forever. Once we finally were able to place our appetizer order, it took another 10 minutes for it to come out. Again, we tried our best to be nice since it was busy. Now to the meals.. we put in our order for our dishes and proceeded to wait about 30-35 minutes. There is only 3 of us! Once everyone got their meals we realized it just.. wasn't the best. - My mother ordered a customized pick 3 meal, her roasted chicken sandwich didn't have any roasted chicken, she said it was all lunch meat? And her bread was as hard as a rock. The "truffle fries" that she had to pay extra for didn't have any truffle, when asked about it.. we were informed it was just truffle "oil". What. Lastly, she didn't even receive her soup. They forgot about it. We had to remind them about the forgotten soup for my mother to finally receive it. She said it was not even good. - My mediterranean chicken bowl was..okay, but I did notice that last time I was here I had a good amount of chicken. This time.. I had barely any chicken. We received 0 REFILLS on our drinks, so by the time we ordered dessert we couldn't even finish it since we were so thirsty and the chocolate was so rich. In the end, the rush died down so much where once we sat up to go we were wondering why service was still awful when no one was in the restaurant. The manager did come to apologize, both our server and manager were very nice. They decided to take off the sandwich from our bill and remake the sandwich and soup to go. Once we got home, my mother realized the soup in our to go package was actually the correct soup, and that at the restaurant she has no idea what soup they brought her. Overall, this experience tonight has been awful. We went home thirsty and hungry.

I can't believe it. It's been 10 years since I reviewed Grace's. I've probably been here 35 or 40…read moretimes since then. I bring family and friends here all the time along with business partners. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Houston, Texas. You will experience the best food and the best service here every single time! Today was the first time I decided to get some food to go. Bradley was an absolute professional. While I was leaving, Johnny Carrabba came out and talked to me for a second. What a nice guy. Full of natural charisma. Reminds me of an old wise guy from casino or Goodfellas. We had a great conversation. I told him how my grandmother was born in Bryan Texas in 1927. He told me about his family that migrated there in 1905. He also mentioned his family had a store on Canal Street. I had no idea. An exceptional person, a legend in the restaurant industry here in Houston, Texas. It was great to meet you today Johnny. Thank you for your professionalism and hospitality and also thank you for serving some of the best food in Houston, Texas! Food: as you can see from all my pictures of the food is simply amazing. The best cornbread in the world. The best pot roast. The best sticky ribs. The best desserts. Everything here is phenomenal. Lunch dinner brunch you cannot go wrong. It was an absolute pleasure to meet Bradley and Johnny today I've been coming to this location for years and I will continue to come and support this restaurant.

I finally made it to Grace's on Kirby and left with mixed feelings. The dining area is a little…read morecompact (not super small though) but it's not a quiet, romantic spot. The main highlight was the 5 star service by Eric! He's enough to make me want to go back! I'll definitely ask for him every time! 2nd highlight is that cornbread because whew...bussin. Pair it with the collard greens and that's a five-star combo all day. I was undecided on what to order, so I went with the cajun stuffed chicken exactly as it comes, along with mac & cheese and collard greens. The meal wasn't bad, but it wasn't that good either. The chicken, I'd probably skip next time, I took most to go and it went bad cause I couldn't do it. Mac wasn't anything to write home about either but again, them greens and cornbread are absolutely getting reordered. My friend ordered the key lime pie and enjoyed it, so that seemed to be another solid choice. But back to the real MVP of the visit which was our server, Eric. He made menu suggestions without being pushy, kept my glass full the entire meal, was kind, patient, and anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask. That level of service is becoming harder to find, and it definitely elevated the experience. Overall, the food landed somewhere in the middle for me, but Eric's service easily pushed this visit to four stars. I'll definitely be back...mainly for that cornbread lol.
