First time here, and I really liked it. The drinks are inexpensive, which was a nice surprise. I didn't try the food, but several people in the group I was riding with ordered meals, and everything looked great. I'll definitely have to come back and give the food a try. There's plenty of parking, which is a big plus. The only downside was that the drinks took a while to make, but we were a large group and everyone went to the bar at the same time, so it's completely understandable. We went to the 2920 Roadhouse for my other half's birthday on a Thursday. We were so excited to try this place! There are apparently some really great singers who entertain their fans here. Pulling into the parking lot, the restaurant looks like it was a large house. So interesting! We got inside and waited about 3 minutes for someone to greet us. There wasn't a line. Once the hostess arrived, she was very nice and then we were seated. The ambiance is comfortable and casual. We waited about 8 or so minutes before we finally flagged someone down to ask about our waitress. Other tables in the same room were being serviced, but they kept walking on past us. It was the oddest thing. We were able to finally have a waitress and placed our beverage orders. They made a great martini! Since we were here on their steak night, we opted for that. I ordered my steak medium rare to rare. It was more medium to medium well, but I chose to keep it vs returning. The food was good. They comped a piece of chocolate cake for the trouble. Our waitress ended up being really great and the night ended up going well. Overall, I would recommend to the restaurant to make sure your hostess is communicating with the staff to keep people from having to wait, do random floor checks to make sure new tables have been serviced or something. DON'T COME HERE FOR FOOD WHEN THEY HAVE AN EVENT!!! Complete chaos from a waitstaff-perspective. Arrived at 1:55...got greeted by hostess 15 minutes later after my sister-in-law flagged her down. The hostess brought menus and left with a "waiter will be right with you"...We sat there 80 minutes after arrival and FINALLY thr food arrived. This was just a terrible experience. Spoke to three different managers, including the owner (female); they were all completely dismissive and rude (almost a hint of arrogance and entitlement). To the three managers, ladies, when your hostess gives the table the menus and says, "your server will be right with you" does that NOT count as a "Check in with the host/hostess"? Your customer service is fuggin terrible it needs some work...period. Food was decent, but not worth 80 minute wait and then to be completely dismissed when face-to-face. The Micro Wrestling was entertaining. I tipped 18% but felt that was too much for the horrible experience. Not the waiter's fault for the complete lack of organization of how the staff handles the seating. Can't say, "I won't be back", but I definitely won't be back during an event. Again, complete chaos and no lack of accountability for the bad service. read more

The venue is beautiful and we enjoyed seeing Glen Templeton perform. We were so excited to try out the restaurant. The variety was impressive, however, the food was not good at all. Our order ranged from a Filet Mignon to Fried Pork Chops, baked potato, mashed potatoes, green beans, cole slaw and we were not impressed with any of it. At the Ty Myers concert. The configuration for the audience is the craziest most inefficient thing I've ever seen. They have maybe 50 tables or so in the pit area spaced out 10 feet apart (Covid style) and have allocated one small 50x20ft area for the General Admission off to the side of the parking lot. There are HUNDREDS of people crammed behind gates in this area. And, it's behind the left WALL of the stage so you couldn't see the performer even if you were able to see over five rows of 6ft tall men in cowboy hats. The opening act hasn't started and I'm thinking I may just go home. Too bad I drove 1:30 out of Houston during rush hour to get here. 2920, if you are reading this- configure your venue like every single other venue in the country. GA/SRO is in the pit and the VIP tables on an elevated area in the back. I cannot recommend this location for concerts. read more

I was pretty pumped to see a concert here. Pro tip... spring for the VIP seating. For real. They had table service and menu choices. I had to eat premade food from an ice chest... no forks or spoons unless you hunt them down. It was not clear that the menu choices would be so severely limited. As someone with a gluten allergy, I could eat sausage. On a stick. The venue is beautiful. I'm hoping to find something in all this that raises this experience out of this disappointment. My husband and I have been going to 2920 Roadhouse for several years now, and have always had really good experiences with the awesome servers and the great food. It has been one of our favorite weekly go to places..However, we will not be coming back after what we experienced. We arrived around 715 on Fri 03/07/2025, to dine inside the reataraunt, not for the outside concert. I saw that the bar had only one person sitting, and seats available. I asked one of the ladies, whom I assume was a manager, if we could take a seat at the bar. She rudely replied that she "isn't accepting any walk ups, I only have 2 servers, sorry" and then turned and walked off. She had no problem turning two long time customers away, because we were "walk ups". I understand concert nights are busy, but when there are available seats, I just don't understsnd turning away any paying customer. That's ok, Chili's down the road was very accommodating to us. We will not be returning to 2920 Roadhouse anytime soon, if ever. read more

Bought vip tickets for a concert & my view was butts of random people that did not get vip tickets. Never again

We are Tomball locals and wanted to try this place. Made a reservation to celebrate my son's birthday. We were sat right away. We watched the other tables around us being serviced but not ours. Asked one of waiters if there is a sever available and responded he will find out. After 25 minutes we left. So disappointed. Disappointed at the lack of service. We stumbled onto this place last night when we were in the area visiting my grandchildren. We fell in love with the property as we were walking up and it only got better from there. The property is sprawling and beautiful, with massive old oak trees that have seen some serious history. You really need to look up the history of this site to truly appreciate the grandeur of this historic site. The restaurant has some really delicious food, we've had fried catfish, fried pork chops, chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak. All delicious. What brought us back the very next day though was the fact that this lovely spot doubles as a venue for events, weddings and my favorite... Concerts. I saw the tribute band Escape ( a journey tribute if you haven't figured it out) was going to be here tonight. So we are here tonight. We got here about 630 to enjoy a fantastic dinner, and now we are enjoying a few drinks before the concert. I will be completely hoarse in about 90 minutes, and I can hardly wait. We tried 2920 Roadhouse again and they delivered! Food was tasty and cooked to perfection. They have a great bartender because every drink was on point! The fried pickles were some of the best I've ever tried and the queso was creamy and not spicy! Our dinners were hot and came out as ordered. 6/24/2023: This is the kinda place you wish you could give more than 5 stars! Outstanding Texas friendly venue! It's on a large piece of historic property surrounded by beautiful trees; one is 5 centuries old! We met the owner. He gave us the background (you can read about it on their website). We went for an Elvis tribute concert (Kraig Parker) and though we've had temperatures in the 100s, it wasn't too bad. They have large fans and the seating area is completely shaded due to the positioning. It is not covered, but it is shaded. So, if it's raining, it would not be an ideal place to be. We ate dinner first inside the restaurant. It smelled amazing upon entering. That Texas barbecue smell! There's a cute little gift shop inside with fun merchandise. We were seated within 2 minutes. We enjoyed a couple glasses of wine each, then we had the brisket grilled cheese, pulled pork sandwich, fried okra and jalapeño creamed corn. Everything was fantastic! Our waitress, Chloe, took excellent care of us. We split the items so we could try as much as possible. $75 (after tip) for our meal. I was expecting our dinner to be a lot more expensive. The outside concert area is dog friendly, there's a dance floor off the seating area, they have a large outdoor bar and there are air conditioned restrooms outside. The owner introduced the artist after thanking our military and first responders. Then he led us in prayer. I was so touched by this experience. I loved that we prayed and everyone stood plus removed their hats. Very Country and made me proud to be a Texan of the great United States of America! The drink prices are great. 5 wines between the 2 of us and our total was only $48 (after tip), The concert prices are great too - $35 per ticket. Parking is very convenient and directly by the seating area. You don't have to worry about anything happening with it so close. Plus, you're in the country surrounded by good people. I felt very safe the entire night. We had such a good time and I'm going to be checking their calendar for fall events. Really great find - wonderful brisket and baked beans. Unique coleslaw with a bit of jalapeño- surprisingly good. Going to try the brunch next time. Kids meals were generous - ribs went over well and nuggets met with approval. Lots of outdoor seating for when the weather gets cooler. TVs kept the kids amused while we waited for our bill. GF and I and friends were here to see Mark Chestnut. We've been a few other times. Great music venue and great atmosphere. Only downside again is the dark haired older lady at the front door was very rude again. Not sure is he's the owner, manager or what but not welcoming at all. Other than they were a little short on servers but that is the new norm anywhere you go. The servers we're working hard and friendly. We will go back I'm sure but try to avoid this woman. read more

My grandson and I were asked to leave an event for which I had an invitation because someone did not like my grandson's choice of clothing and we were told "you have to leave because this is a private venue." I have never given his clothing choices a thought, because he is one of the most respectful, kind, patriotic and gentle persons I know. He was wearing his standard plaid button-down shirt, canvas jacket and cargo pants. We were at the Michael Berry rally, where my grandson was super-excited to see Ted Cruz. He was hoping to see other people his age to talk to because he is a senior in high school (with excellent grades) and wanted to have a discussion on their mutual views. Unfortunately, while I got to chat up the adults around me, he never found any young people to visit with. While I was using the restroom, 2 of the security detail approached him, escorted him to the parking lot, searched and questioned him, and then told us to leave. We were not given a reason. Second visit to this establishment and they once again did not disappoint. Prices are very reasonable. Green Chile Queso is delicious! It doesn't have a strong green chile taste to it; but it is good tasting queso. I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich plain and dry with jack cheese. Although I was hoping to have my chicken breast slathered in buffalo sauce and then added to the bun, it tasted great and was way more than I could handle. I had to take off half of the breast and only ate half of the sandwich, which was plenty! The General Manager is all "hands on" right now while they are getting things ready. Ready for what you ask? Well... 2920 Roadhouse will soon begin to feature live artists. Primarily country. Updating my review. Total turnaround. Service was way improved from last time, and while they still need a bit more variety on the VIP menu the food was much improved quality wise. The Kevin Fowler concert was amazing. High energy! I think having Susan Hickman as the opener really set that energy level high and Kevin Fowler took it up even more. One of the best shows I have seen. Now if you could only stop with the furniture store thing. Paying that kind of money to listen to them blather about their stuff is irritating. For a brunch menu it was okay. Not a lot of options. For a casual restaurant and to meet friends it will work but the food didn't wow us. if you are hungry they do provide huge portions. The one thing that we didn't like was the service. We sat at a high table and waiters and waitresses just kept walking pass us after the hostess seated us. Then two other tables sat next to us and were helped right away. When we asked the waitress where our server was she was surprised we didn't have one... While the other waiter ignored us when we asked him. The annoying part was they both took tables next to us and saw we had no one to help us. Our waitress was nice and helped but it was annoying that we had to go through a process... And she had to look around before even assisting us. It may have been one day, but the situation makes me not want to go back if the customers are not paid attention to. After striking out at our favorite Italian restaurant, we decide to give this place a try. We have driven by here more times than I can count. Atmosphere is very nice. It is remodeled house decorated in a Texas/Western theme. They have a nice bar area for adult seating along with a family dining area. Their menu is typical of a barbecue place with some nice additions thrown in. Started with a cocktail (Cosmo) for my wife and a beer for myself. Being Cosmo snobs, my wife found their Cosmo very good. We saw another table or two order Cosmos also. I ordered a half rack of ribs while my wife ordered a Turkey filled baked potato with a side salad. I had two sides - Mac and cheese along with jalapeño creamed corn. Food came out quickly. Portions were very good. We enjoyed everything! Our waitress was attentive making the service above average. Give them a try. read more
