My husband's new favorite place to go. I honestly love it too not only for their food but for the amazing service. The guy in front counter - you make my day. So jolly and so hospitable. Definitely a lot of regulars come in, from what I see. Such a homey environment. Been here a few times now and I gravitate towards their box sets all the time. Their baked mussels are good. Food: I've tried the following sushi .... Yellowtail Tuna Shrimp Salmon For the rolls... Alaskan Baked Crawfish Baked Scallop Popcorn Scallop Quality for most part is pretty decent, not too bad. Not so much for the Popcorn Scallop roll though, but that ok, everything else was great. Service.... They took care of me good. They care about the customers when it comes to sense of urgency and great game plan. Those are the kind of people that belong in hospitality. Excellent service. Heemo Sushi is a solid sushi spot in the 626! The service was great, and the waiters were so nice. When we went it was not crowded at all so the waiters were all very attentive. The rolls are huge! I was shocked with how thick the pieces were. I did enjoy the quality and freshness of the food. Each roll we got was $17. And there are lots of different roll options to choose from. To be honest though some of the combinations for the rolls weren't something I loved too much, but of course that's on preference. My fiancé and I wanted to try a new sushi place while heading home on Labor Day weekend. After some searching we found Heemo and decided to give it a try. WOW were we impressed! We ordered the Kami kaze, the spicy rainbow, and the king dragon roll. Before I get into specifics about each roll, I want to mention the portion size. These rolls were HUGE! We did not expect them to be that big and ended up having to take some home. Our favorites were the Kami kaze and the spicy rainbow. The Kami kaze came with crispy fried onions on top (the real kind) and they were so addicting with the roll itself. The spicy rainbow was fresh and tasted fantastic with the sauces on it. Even though the king dragon wasn't our favorites it was still delicious. Our only critique was that the ratio of avocado to roll was a bit too much. We felt it needed about half the avocado and maybe something like cucumber to add variety in the texture of the roll. The waitress/host was so nice and attentive and everybody seems like they enjoy their job. We will definitely be back soon and it goes on my list of "must try" places for sushi. read more

I particularly like the wide choice of sake. They have a chart that rates the sakes from sweet to dry and then you can see where sake each falls on the chart. Like most other California sushi restaurants, Heemo has a wide range of speciality rolls with cute, descriptive names.I highly enjoyed the Aloha roll. I got their Chirashi Bowl (comes with miso soup), Mixed Tempura, and my girl got her own roll and sushi. The Chirashi Bowl's portion was huge; the cuts of every sushi were big, fresh, and the seasoned rice underneath tasted great. Miso soup was perfect; it wasn't too salty and it had a lot of tofu and seaweed. The mixed tempura was lightly battered and tasted fresh as well. Our waitress came to check on us on a timely manner and I'd say the service was excellent. There's always one or two discrepancies whenever we go eat somewhere but this place was a 10/10. It's family time, took them to Heemo. Mom got the baked scallop and 4 pc Volcano $7.5 each. Sis got the box salmon teriyaki $21 while my son chose the beef teriyaki $22. The tuna and avocado taste fresh and I love the ginger and eel sauce!
