I am writing to share my recent experience during my full hands and full legs waxing appointment today. Unfortunately, I am quite disappointed with the service I received. This is not the first time -- I have had a similar experience with the same staff member on the past two occasions as well. Today, I was not expecting to be assigned to her again, but I was. The staff member (wearing a red T-shirt and glasses) used hot wax even after I clearly mentioned twice that I was uncomfortable with it. The first time my concern was ignored, and the second time I was told that my skin was not burning and that it was fine. However, my skin is now extremely red and experiencing a burning sensation. Additionally, the service felt rushed. Several patches were skipped, and it seemed as though there was a hurry to move on to the next customer. As a paying customer, I expect proper attention and care during my appointment. When I requested after-wax care such as oil or aloe vera gel, I was told that none was available. Post-wax care is very important, especially when the skin is sensitive. I believe it would be helpful if service quality and customer care were monitored more closely. Ensuring that clients feel heard and properly attended to should be a priority. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and look into the matter to improve future customer experiences. read more

I got my eyebrows threaded here for $5 mind you that's the price if you pay with cash if you're paying with card it's an up charge of $1 I went on a saturday afternoon the wait was not bad but the service itself was pretty bad. They use to dust off the hairs with a brush and even apply aloe vera on the waxed/threaded area but now they just let you walk out with the hairs on your face and onto the next customer. I came in for the first time to get my face threaded and within 2 days my face looked like this. The lady who threaded my face wiped aloe Vera on it but didn't give me any instructions about there potentially being a reaction. I came back today for advice on what to do and they were zero help informing me of why my face reacted like this. The only advice I got was "Don't put anything on it except ice". I'm two days into following my same skincare routine and this would've been helpful to know in advance. I will never come back here and don't recommend this place. This is the height of lack of professionalism to neither tell me what to expect (they knew I never got my face threaded before) and to have no helpful advice on what I can do or what kind of reaction this is. Toxic, Unhygienic, Disrespectful! First of all, the female manager is so rude and full of attitude. Second, every time I go there they charge me different depending on who is charging and how much they like you. Third, they treat you based on your color. If they are free, they treat u better but if they are busy, the manager will be so loud, rude and will try to embarrass you. The only reason I was going there it was on my way but after today, I prefer to go couple of miles extra and get better treatment and I am glad I found a much better place. Last but not least, the female supervisor with glasses treats her subordinates like slaves and will ask them to go grab water, tea and all very personal tasks like she is a queen and everyone else is there to serve her. This chick barely did my eyebrows, didn't trim them, did a piss poor job on my sideburns. She didn't give me a mirror. I had to get one. I pointed out that she left hair. She hurried and removed it. Still, no trimming, no aloe, nothing. Said it was now $10. Left $10 in cash. There's your tip. I swear. If you are going to blatantly overcharge (sideburns aren't $6 sweetheart) then take it out on your tip) be my guest. It's really the only place in Mckinney to get threading done. It's hit or miss though depending on who you get. I find the younger girl there doesn't usually do the best job. The environment can be scary for a newbie, but trust me here: the Indian telenovela on the TV and funky inscence smell are apart of any good threading place. Heads up: even if you come in to just get your eyebrows done, they will always ask you about your upper lip. Even if you've got no hair there, they will make you believe you've got a Tom Selleck going on. Be prepared for the up sell. Price is $4 cash, $5 if credit card, making it by far the cheapest around. I just left Henna Salon in McKinney with one red eye and feeling insulted. I had individual lashes installed. It seems the technician was either new or inexperienced. The glue from the lashes scratched my left badly. Another technician spoke roughly to the first technician and then to me regarding how I should let the technician know what size lashes I would like from the beginning. I initially stated I wanted medium lashes. Another technician suggested short since I have few natural lashes. After the technician installed the lashes on my right eye, I asked for a mirror. I didn't like the smaller lashes, so I asked for the medium lashes. Instead of removing the smaller lashes the technician added medium lashes in between the smaller lashes which scratched my left eye. To add injury to insult, as I previously stated, the second technician told me condescendingly, "It's not a matter of suggesting anything. Whatever size we start with we must continue with!" Whatever happened to customer satisfaction. I left the salon feeling really bad and with a red blood- shot eye to boot! I can seldom afford getting lashes because I am on a modest fixed income. Business is good and you can expect a 10-15 min wait during peak times. Luckily there are several stylists and they'll call out numbers so you know when it's your turn. The ladies know what they're doing and in less than 5 min you'll be ready to go. That being said, they aee careful and detail oriented and happy to do touch ups as you see fit. $4 cash and $5 with card - you really can't beat that price. They do a great job for a very reasonable price, and you can use your card with a $10 minimum purchase but they wont let you do tips on the card so bring a few dollars cash to tip your lady! Heena has been my go to threading spot in Dallas. The prices are incredibly affordable and there isn't usually a super long wait, but I think that just depends on when you go. When there is a line, you grab a number like you're at a deli and you wait for your number to be called. There isn't much organization to check on numbers though, so someone could easily skip ahead if patrons weren't paying attention. I don't have a regular lady that does my brows and I've left satisfied. I can't speak to their other services, but I definitely would recommend them for threading. read more

I've been coming for the last 6 years. My last two Ladies have now left. Sad sad, but what gets me every time is that they NEVER sanitize their seats after one goes. Also when did it become sanitary to use the same wooden stick to wax everyone? Eye brows, lip, or bet yet WHOLE FACE? Yuck The once tried lashes had been applied with hair glue. My eyes lids became swollen allergic reaction. No one sanitizes their hands. The Hispanic lady that does the waxing has great conversation. But.... The waxing room needs to be sanitized as well. The way everyone walks out so fast and then next one goes directly inside. This used to be the spot. The OWNER has that sits in the first station has let the shop go down. I took my daughter to get a heena tattoo. VERY blah personalities in this salon. So to start, my daughter chose a pretty design from a picture on the internet. The lady could not speak ANY English and had to ask another lady to help out when we spoke to her....she was not much help either as she was not able to even clearly ask if I was paying with a credit card or cash. The work of the tattoo was messy and not even close to what we asked for. Instead of $10 it was $24. I will say that the threading the women were doing on the customers did seem to be a pretty good job. I only have my eyebrows & face threaded here. A plus is every employee does a great job. I also just started getting my eyebrows tinted & i LOVE it. I don't have to use any eyebrow pencil or any products for that. Having them tinted makes them look like I've used any eyebrow product. I'm 40 so every now & then there will be a grey hair. Having them tinted takes care of that issue!! I recommend this salon. I've tried other threading businesses & this is the best & the cheapest whether you pay with credit/debit card or cash. I paid $40 for my eyelashes then I came back to get them fixed due to the them ripping and they wanted me to pay $12 to get them fixed the lady was rude and said their only meant to last 1 week. I always get them done at SEVA and they do a great job and last about two weeks. This place is cheap but you paying for a bad service eyebrow threading here hurts to the point of making me cry. I've been coming here regularly for 3 years to get my eyebrows threaded and a Brazilian wax. I always get a nice threading experience from Chelsea and the best wax from Zenaida (Chelsea when Z is out). Today I went in and Menju was suggested to wax me. I said I'd come back tomorrow but they insisted. Menju made me feel so uncomfortable. I'm 9 months pregnant and was having and anxiety attack in the room. She told me to wait when I asked to sit up for a second and when I asked for water. I was literally sweating everywhere. In the middle of waxing me she asked me did I lose weight as she could tell from my skin!!! I asked her to stop waxing me and told her she was rude. Shen then tried to apologize. It wasn't genuine. I've never felt uncomfortable getting serviced here and this is my 2nd pregnancy since I've been coming here. The other 2 ladies has always made me feel comfortable and not different bc I'm pregnant; which is why I always came back. I told the guy manager about my experience as well. I went to get my eyebrows done and the lady offered eyebrow tinting . I always wanted to try it so I told her she can tint them but they came out too cakey and it didn't look very natural , and I got my eyelashes done because I had an event but the lady that did it didn't properly do them right , she didn't put tape on my lower lash line which made my top lashes and bottom lashes stick together and she did them with my eyes open. Saying it was eaiser for her but it only irritated my eye. I payed $50 for all services still gave them a tip because Im respectful but they didn't even offer to discount my price or nothing I wish I would've seen the reviews before I came here will never come back again read more

Really upset with this salon. I've come here multiple times and get the same thing done every time. First time I came it was $12, next time I came $15 and today I came it's $20. The owner is really greedy and is like oh no we'd never charge less than $15. Um yes you do when I came here previously. Not only that, she has the audacity to tell me to get my eyebrows done. That's my choice, not for you to look at me in distaste and tell me that. So unprofessional. She sits on her phone and waits to speak with you when it's convenient for her. Also, I told the lady multiple times to not do a specific area and she still did. And she left patches of hair. Definitely not returning. I came in today to get my underarms waxed, and quickly was taken to a private room, with a woman with very curly hair who did not introduce herself. I removed my shirt to allow the technician to wax my underarms. After applying the wax and ripping the strip off, more than half of the hair remained on my underarms. The technician continued to wax my arms over and over, making my skin raw and irritated. She applied wax to my underarms 5 different times and, using the same strip to remove the hair, ripped the strip off 10 times. She then left to get thread to remove the rest of the hair, even after waxing the area 5 times over, and left the door open. Had anyone walked past they could have seen me topless laying down with baby powder covering my underarms. Not only did this strike me as unprofessional but disrespectful of my personal privacy. She came back and threaded my underarms attempting to remove the remaining hairs, however in the process she cut me and broke my skin in several different areas. After 5 minutes of wiping and threading she told me the process was finished. I looked at the area to see more than 100 hairs left on my now swollen and blood red underarms. This was by far the most unprofessional and worst experience I've ever had with waxing. I could have done a much better job myself and would not only avoid going near there again but warn others as well. I'm writing this review after trying to clean up the many hairs left, however my underarms are still so irritated and red that the pain was unbearable. I would rate this experience less than 1 star if I could. read more
