I love this place. Have tried threading in at least a dozen places and Heena wins - and not just because it is by FAR the cheapest. Really, you pay less for both eyebrows here than most of those silly mall places charge for just one. It's always pretty crowded, but they work quickly and get you out of there before you know it...and with perfect, wonderful brows. For those of you who have not tried it - threading might hurt a little more than waxing at first, but the lack of irritation after certainly makes it worth the pain. I've gotten used to it and find it only mildly annoying now, not painful. Visiting a place like Heena where the staff actually know what they are doing does help. read more

I could not wait to get back to my desk to write this review! I have never had my eyebrows threaded and heard good reviews from fellow Yelpers that I had to try it. I was not disappointed! My eyebrows have never looked this good!!!! I called before I headed down there (Monday 11:30am) and there was no wait time. When I got to the Salon it was emtpy and there was nothing in there but the signage on the windows. So I called and they told me they had moved to the southeast side of Beltline and 75. I hopped in my car and made it over to the new location in mere minutes. There was one person in front of me but it was a brief wait. I sat in the chair and the lady got to work. It was quick and not as painful as I expected. So I opted to do my upper lips as well. The lady suggested that I do wax and then clean it up with threading. She gave me some cooling lotion and the redness disappeared before I knew it. I truly recommend this for anyone. I paid $6 for eyebrows and upper lip. Plus tip, this was the best $8 I ever spent. They told me that the wax that they use is home made. So go on a weekeday as everyone suggested. I got back to my office within 30 minutes. That's driving to the wrong location, getting to the right location, eyebrows/lips threaded, AND stopping by Cafe Max for lunch to-go. I will definitely be back in two weeks and recommending them to all my friends. read more

I was in a bit of a time constaint so I wanted to find a threading place that was close to the other errands I was running. Found this place on Yelp. Good: Super fast, I was in and out in like five minutes. Cheap..! Except if you don't have cash, then they have to run you for $10 and they gave me a $6 gift card.. Which would be great if I wanted to ever come back to this place. I told the girl I didn't want them too thin, but I needed the arch defined and them cleaned up. She muttered something that seemed like agreement. What I had was two messy caterpillars, and what I got was two clean caterpillars. Apparently she didn't understand what the word arch meant. I am not one of those lucky people with naturally arched eyebrows. I need some help. She didn't really help. Not the worst eyebrows I've had, but certainly nowhere near the best. Whenever I need to get my brows nice and defined AND on the cheap, Heena Salon is the place to go to for that. It is a nice substitue from the waxing, though the string rubbing against your skin may hurt a little at first, but after a while I got used to it. The service took as short as 5 minutes to the max and I could come out with nicely arched, defined, well-groomed brows. Despite that my sparse brows when it is not cared for, they made them look surprising denser. Saturday afternoons are usually their busiests, when there is a wait, you have to take a number to wait for your turn. While you are waiting, you either find something to do like reading, or checking your phone, while it is refreshing to hear Bollywood music on TV. :) Again this is my regular spot which I'd definitely come back to. read more

I found this place through Yelp which I hadn't heard of before browsing reviews for eyebrow threading. I just got back and to my surprise from reading other reviews, I took my number and only waited 2 minutes...super fast, friendly. And YES only $4!! I paid with credit card and wasn't even a place to tip which was strange to me. Since I only had a total of $4, they ran my card for the minimum $10, so they gave my a gift card for the remaining $6 to use next time. It wasn't painful - I have VERY sensitive skin and the wax can pull off my skin which is NOT good - little bit of hurt but it digs it out of the root so won't have to go as often...this is my first time so I'll get used to it. I took cards with me to pass out to friends and will continue to go! read more

I have been going here for years, and I usually stick with 2 people that know how to shape my brows. I highly recommend waiting for the owner if you want your brows threaded, the wait is worth it. I nearly had a panic attack today when I went with someone new, she threaded my eyebrows, and when she was done, I asked her if she even threaded them. She attempted to fix them, and yet again, no shape was given. She wanted to give a 3rd attempt at trying, I said NO THANKS! I didn't want to look like the jack'o'lantern with the jagged teeth as my brows. I waited patiently for the owner, and she fixed them. Whew. I have learned my lesson. The prices here are reasonable and cheaper than most salons, so I recommend going here. read more

I've been coming to Heena Salon for about two years now to get my eyebrows and upper lip threaded. They have never messed up my eyebrows and always do a good job of not making them too thin and shaping them very well. It is definitely not the nicest place ever, but it gets the job done. Plus, it's only $4 to wax your eyebrows and $3 for upper lip...you cannot find prices like that anywhere else. I live in Austin now and the cheapest eyebrow threading I can find is $10. You go in and take a ticket with a number on it. When the ladies start yelling out numbers, listen for your number to be called. They do go pretty fast so make sure you're paying attention. Also, try to avoid going on Saturdays. Usually I can be in and out in under 20 minutes, but on Saturdays it can take 30+ minutes just due to the large amount of people. read more

I am torn on this review, if I could give half stars I would give them 3.5 but cannot warrant rounding up from there. Came here on recommendation for waxing arms. Pros: SUPER CHEAP!! Really quick, two people did the waxing at once. Cons: They didn't get all of the hair, they offer you services you don't need...please don't offer to wax my hair-free upper lip and my maintained eyebrows. They told me my issue is that I shave my arms. And I do, have been for 10 years because no one likes man hair on a girl, especially me. People think I exagerate on this but I kid you not. I had not shaved my arms for over a week and even asked if the hair was long enough and they said yes. I don't honestly think that shaving my arm hair changes the consistency of it like waxing consistently would so it's not an excuse. I paid $12 for the service (entire arm, upper and lower) but would have happily paid double for them to get all of the hair. I do plan on going back giving the hair longer to grow in than I did the last time and will update my review then with additional comments/rating. If you are looking for a quick, no frills salon for waxing or threading I would suggest trying it out...I hope I created my own issue by shaving because I love this price! read more

My eyebrows have never looked so good! I walked in and was immediately in a chair getting them done. This place isn't glitzy, but is clean and for $4 threading there are absolutely no complaints. I don't have crazy eyebrows naturally but they don't have any shape. The girl who did my eyebrows gave them the perfect shape. I live in Dallas and break my 635 bubble to come here. Look, Heena Salon is not the Bliss Spa at the W, but when I have needed an emergency brow shape up on the cheap, they come through. When you walk in you take a number. You know, like the type at the butcher counter. Just make sure to listen for them to call out your number because if you don't pay attention, they will skip over you. They do threading... Also waxing and facials, but I would not have them done there. I have been satisfied each time that I have gone. They do take credit/debit cards, but there is a minimum charge of $10, so take cash if you can. They have a sign saying you cannot add a tip on the card, but the owner has let me the few times I have had to use a card. read more

Every time I go back to Dallas, I go here to get my eye brows threaded. $4.00 for threading (Assuming they haven't up-ed their rates) and then plus tip. It's an amazing deal and you won't get that deal anywhere else. They're fast, extremely careful, professional, and they know what they're doing. Your eyebrows come out looking GREAT. This was a great place to go for threading.It was just like the places my Bengali friend used to take me when we were growing up in Houston. The real deal, four dollar threading, in and out in 5 minutes. and they do a great job. They were also super nice- I got pretty lost getting there- i think the address on yelp is wrong, they are actually a little further north on central than listed here- and i called for directions, and the woman at the salon stayed on the phone with me until i found the shop. Highly recommended- it is very bare bones though- don't go expecting a fancy salon. basically just a bunch of chairs and a few mirror stations. but you can't beat the price. read more

I can't understand how this place has average of 4 stars. Sure, it's cheap ($20 for a full leg wax), but in this case, I got what I paid for. The waxing table was dirty with spots of wax from previous clients. There wasn't even a layer of paper placed over this. Two women waxed me, which made the process go quickly. However, they did a terrible job. They were too quick, not paying any attention to detail. Neither woman seemed to really know what she was doing. And somehow, they managed to get wax in my hair. When I discovered this and told the manager, he was indifferent. I will never go back. read more

I've been getting my eyebrows done for about 10 years and have gone to my share of eyebrow ladies. Heena Salon is by far THE WORST salon I've ever been to. They don't even deserve one star. To all you girls that don't speak Hindi, they talk about you in Hindi, and not good things. The ladies that wax yelled at me when I told them that it was burning my skin. She actually said "If you know how to wax then why do you come here to do it? Why dont you tell your mom to wax you if it burns" Verbatim. I got a facial here and asked about all the ingredients in the facial I even pointed out all my allergies to the lady that helped me out and she reassured me that none of my allergens were in the facial paste. She proceeded to do my facial and immediately I started breaking out terribly! She said that usually happens on the first time someone gets a facial. Well, it wasn't the first time I got one I don't know why she assumed it was. She didn't even offer to take it off! She said to relax and everything would be ok. Invest in laser hair removal!! $100 for underarm hair gone forever rather than dealing with mean ladies!! I would have given this place 5 stars before, but they've definitely become greedy... I did laser hair removal on my bikini but wanted to go in for a full Brazilian. They made me pay $35 for what literally used one sheet of wax. Srsly, how does that make sense? I tipped her before I saw the "check" she handed me on the way out. I asked her if this was the price I had to pay bc it was so little hair! And she said yes ::dead pan:: Not going back. We came here for a walk in threading appointment. My 13 year old daughter's fist threading experience! She left with a hole in her eyebrow and they dyed them BLACK. Keep in mind she has light brown hair, they said they would tint them light brown and then dyed them black and took off part of her eyebrow. Her brows were two DIFFERENT shapes located in 2 different spots on her face!!! She was mortified and crying to stay home from school so she wouldn't get made fun of. My experience: I asked for a full facial thread, it took them 3 times and still didn't get all the hair done, which I know is possible because when I went to Styles Of India it was done quickly and efficiently the first time. She then suggested a wax...(why I'm not sure the hairs were way too short for wax to work) she waxed me and the hair was still there. I got up when she was finished attempting to thread me and noticed there was hot wax IN MY HAIR, she dripped it onto my North Face fleece and into MY HAIR! I was mortified, I asked her to give me something to remove it and she got baby wipes! I was so upset, I asked my daughter if she was ready and she said yes and the lady just walked off, didn't even apologize, they then called someone else to ring me up and charged me full price $30. Heena Salon doesn't have the best reputation and I have known this for years as the number of times I go has diminished. A few days ago, I wanted to try it out again hoping that their service had improved. However, I left incredibly disappointed and driven to make sure that no one has this same experience. So I went in a few days ago to have my eyebrows threaded and tinted. The woman who threaded my eyebrows was very impatient and threaded so fast she knicked my skin on both sides and I was bleeding. She didn't even shape my brows the way I had asked. Then she started tinting my eyebrows and I had asked her for natural color and shape. She overdid the color and the shape and after she had finished my eyebrows looked so unnatural and I was very unhappy. I asked her to remove part of the tint off so it looked more natural so she began using a liquid solution. Immediately my skin felt like it was on fire and started burning and I asked her to stop and she kept using the liquid solution. I asked her what she was using and she refused to tell me and I demanded she tell me. I looked at the bottle and they are using hair bleach. Imagine hair bleach...a harsh chemical on someone's face and freshly threaded skin. This is a health code violation and their customers need to know that they do not have their health or best interest in mind. I have called the City of Richardson and also reported them for this. In the end, I refused to pay for the service since it was so awful and the female owner of Henna Salon (she is always there and sits in the front counting money) refused to let me leave and harassed me into paying. Absolutely no customer service! I hope that readers reading this review and other low rated reviews take the time to read our comments. Heena Salon has been around for a long time and for their service to be this awful is a reflection of their owners and a lack of respect for their community that has continued to pay their light bill. read more

I found out about this place from suleka.com(website for Indian classifieds and such), when I first moved to Dallas beginning of this year. I was surprised at how cheap it was when I first went there ... 4$ for eyebrows.... but wasn't completely satisfied with the service, because the lady didn't pay any attention to what I said or how I wanted it to be done. But I went back because it's cheap, quick and pretty close to my work so I can go during lunch. I have tried different girls at this location every time I went and now I found a girl who does a pretty good job and actually listens to how I want it to be done. She is the third person from the left when you walk in. I would stay away from the first 2 on the left. I also tried arm waxing there, it is pretty inexpensive and quick. I don't think I will try any of the other salon services like facial etc.. just not too sure about the cleanliness of this place required for facials. But pretty good for waxing and threading(I would suggest to find a girl that you like and stick with her every time you go). There may be little bit of wait for the good ones but its definitely worth it. And make sure to take some cash when you go, because there is a minimum limit for them to accept credit cards($20) and also they don't let the customers leave the tip on the card. read more

First time experiencing this establishment, viewed a commercial before I went. The place was jam packed w/ppl waiting to get serviced. I took a number then found an empty seat, then waited 10-15 minutes before my number was called. The lady greeted me before she began, asked what shape I desired. She completed one eyebrow then she brought another young lady over to finish me. I objected to that notion, and asked for her to finish my eyebrows. Came here for a year because of the price and it's cheap and quick, however I had a bad experience a month ago when I walked in and the manager put me as a "try customer" for a girl who was interviewing for the job there. I didn't understand what was going on until this other worker told me "if you don't like the way she does your brows I can redo them for you" so I got out of the chair and told the manager I wanted to get my brows threaded by someone who ACTUALLY worked there. I have only used them for waxing services. They do a generally good job for the price (which is cheap) but it's not the best. They tend to hurry, so they miss things -- make sure you take a look and are happy with the service, before you leave the salon. They seem to be most popular for threading, and also do hair and henna. The line is usually really long for these services, but usually not more than one or two people waiting for a wax. I'd avoid weekends if possible, those are the busiest. read more

It's $4 to get your eyebrows threaded in (usually) under 10 minutes. Recognize your privilege if you can't handle the brusque, efficient service. I would say 9/10 times I have been more than satisfied with my eyebrows. The ladies aren't going to pamper or chat you up, but they get the job done. Certain ladies have tried to upsell me to get a facial or other services which is a tad annoying when I've been clear about what I want. Get in, and get out. I was involuntarily jerking away as she plucked away at single hairs EXCRUCIATINGLY slow, and this woman had the audacity to yell at me to sit still? When I asked her "Why are you being so rough, it hurts!" she responds "Maybe you're not holding it right." No ma'am. I've been doing this for years now. I'm sure I'm "holding it right" She gave me a tissue and I wiped my eyebrow and to my horror, I was bleeding. Never has this ever happened. I go on to look at the brows - as thinned out as they could be. On top of it all the shapes were uneven. Forget sisters, they weren't even cousins. Hell they were completely unrelated! With them being thin and uneven, there was no room to fix them. So i just get out of the chair and walk to the counter. At the counter I ask for her name, so I could make sure I never went to her again. But she snapped back and went "Naina" and proceeds to yell "I didn't mess up your eyebrows." Yea right. Lose the attitude, or you will continue to lose customers. I sure as hell will not be going back, and neither will any of my girlfriends - I'll make sure of it. I will also be sure to raise awareness with all the Desi girls at UTD, which is 90% of their customers. Yes it's $4, but save yourself the pain and trouble. Pay the $8 or $10 it takes elsewhere. They messed up my eyebrows and they wouldn't even apologize, instead they tried to force me to pay, and they told me straight up in the face that I was bitching about paying $5 !! Now I have 2 diff eyebrows and I can't even draw them bc they're so messed up. Even the manager instead of trying to solve the problem by offering any help or even spend a fuckn 1 min to look at my eyebrows, or even to come up to me and talk to me, but instead from a 15 ft distance she said oh even if that happened you're supposed to pay, I have rent and paychecks. Their prices are inexpensive and their service is fast. Sometimes they are too rushed to take time to pay attention to detail but you just have to stop them and tell them what you really want done. Overall, they keep me coming back. The location looks very bland and warehouse but I imagine that is how they are able to keep their prices down. I've been coming here for years to get my eyebrows threaded with no complaints. They are diligent courteous and keep the line moving. I came this weekend for a facial and Seema did an excellent job. The facial lasted about 55 minutes and my skin felt amazing. I would have given this visit 5 stars but the only reason why I didn't was because there was an employee doing waxes , in the room next door and she was extremely loud. Didn't get the peaceful relaxation due to her loud voice. read more
