Yum! I absolutely love how creative this shop is. You can taste that there's care in the homemade scoops! The employees are super kind and helpful- (not shy with the samples)! My favorite is the crème fraiche with blackberries- it's fresh delicious and super appetizing. If you know me, you know I'm a chunky ice cream girl and they deliver!! You can pick up pints in store too. If you haven't been it's a must try, especially with the hot days in store!

Lovely place in a relatively unappealing industrial area that's actually pretty easy to access. Don't let that worry you (as it did my wife), Heidi's Ice Cream Shop is wonderfully situated with good on-street parking, nice indoor areas to sit and a really thoughtfully designed outdoor patio area that turned out to be a delightful place to eat an ice cream. (And it was being used - a quiet and in-every-way diverse wholesome crowd was enjoying the Saturday evening - it was one of the nicest vibes I've felt in Albuquerque lately.) And what ice cream! Served at the perfect temperature for eatability without a mess, there are cerebral and interesting flavors but not so many as to cause difficulties by slowing down the ordering. The three I tasted were (baklava, Adobe Road and green chile pecan) were so nice - great milkfat level, not overly sweet but with rich, vibrant flavors. Service was - believe it or not - every bit as stellar as the rest of the experience. The two young counterpeople were on-the-ball, friendly and so, so helpful. What a wonderful treat: I am sorry to only be discovering this wonderful place now. I eat ice cream so infrequently that I really want my experiences to be a treat, and I just can't think of anywhere serving ice cream in the metro area that provides a treat as delightful as we experienced at Heidi's. We will for-sure be back; I just don't see any reason for me to get ice cream anywhere else in the Albuquerque area.

Just so good! Super cute shop. Super nice scoopers right when you walk in. The bf and I both tried a few flavors, I ended on brown butter piñon and blueberry creme fraiche on a cone with honeycomb on top. Everything about it was so good. I highly recommend the honeycomb. Was nice enough to eat outside by the water fountain looking at the Sandia. A plus that it's so close to Canteen, could be dangerous!

Fall weather is slowly showing up, so might as well enjoy ice cream before it gets too cold. So we ventured to Heidi's Ice Cream shop for the first time. The place is a nice little refuge among the vast industrial area around it. People attending the shop were quite friendly and helpful. They saw our indecisive faces and offered the perfect solution, a flight with 4 flavors. So we followed their wise suggestions. On my end, I had the brown butter piñon, yuzu black sesame caramel, passion fruit cheesecake crumble, and jasmine tea and honeycomb. The range of flavors was restricted but there were some interesting notes in each. The yuzu gave a note of brightness with its citrus. The sesame gave a bit of roasted smokiness with a nice textured the piñon gave more texture and crunch. As for the Jasmin tea, it brought the whole ice cream to a whole new level. Hubby had the crème fraiche wild blueberry, the adobe road, and a triple chocolate flavor to add to the tasting. He also preferred the Jasmin tea, the adobe was second due to the spicy notes, the triple chocolate was scrumptious, and last was the blueberry. Overall, this was a nice place with friendly people who knew how to help us out. The creativity in flavors was interesting and the Jasmin tea was an absolute favorite.

A true gem, never a bad scoop. My recent bad habit has been buying their pints and eating them at home with the raspberry jam. It is so good. Went in today to check out their fall flavors and I really enjoyed the pumpkin and the apple butter. You truly can't go wrong.

Service was friendly and the shop is cute-- only 2-3 tables inside and about 5 outside in a cute gated and landscaped front patio. Flavors were unique and good but very turned off by the smelly water cups, smelled of sour milk... I think they were run through a dirty dishwasher then stacked without allowed to dry. I didn't see any other options besides ice cream like coffees or shakes as an fyi!

Great first experience! I came toward closing time for a quick scoop, and the customer service was something special. Greatly appreciated the friendliness of both ladies behind the counter, and they were willing to give me plenty of samples before I made my decision. Heidi's is awesome because they'll let you split a single scoop into two flavors, so I chose Brown Butter Piñon and Adobe Road. The red chile marshmallows mixed into that creamy chocolate were a fun kick, and I'd love to go back to try the new Lemon Basil flavor. Cute patio with water installment and plants makes for a nice place to enjoy your cup or cone. Street parking was easy. Again, lovely employees.

The space itself is a huge win; plenty of comfortable indoor seating plus outdoor options, so it's easy to hang out and actually enjoy your treat. The staff? Super friendly both times I went. And yes... I went twice in one week I tried the banana pudding and the vegan strawberry Oreo; both were amazing. The texture is unreal, and every flavor is packed with delicious mix-ins. I also had the Cookie Monster (bright blue and fun), which was just as good. Pro tip: one scoop is MORE than enough. Seriously. Also, don't skip the dipped cones; the strawberry dip cone and Oreo dip cone are next level. If you're into rich, creamy ice cream with tons of flavor options (including vegan), this place is 100% worth it.

I really liked the fun feeling...like a kid being in a candy store..except..this one was an ice cream shop! There were so many flavors to pick from....except it was hard to decide as there weren't images/glass window for me to see what the ice cream looked like (granted, they had a note posting that we could feel free to ask for tasting first!). I ended up ordering a hot fudge brownie sundae, with a baklava ice cream and pistachio heath. The price was VERY reasonable...and the serving was just huge...definitely way larger than what I was expecting. Now, I only gave it 3 stars..just because I felt the flavors could have been stronger...and I somehow found the ice cream to be wayyyyy too sweet that the sweetness came first as a flavor and kind of hid the actual flavor of the ice cream. I ended up throwing out 1/3 of the serving..because I couldn't really finish all the large serving they had..and felt it was wayyy too sweet for me. Parking is tight...so be mindful if you are stopping by around peak time after dinner/on a weekend!

The samoa bar, although messy, had the right amount of chocolate (I love plenty) and the red velvet was soft, cakey, and big.
