The Pecan Flavor I tried! Amazing!!!
    Loosey B.

Wonderful ice cream at this cute little Old Town business. Friendly service too! We looked in at a couple of other places, then decided to try this one. They serve BlueBell ice cream, and boy, is it good! If you are in Old Town, and fancy an amazing, inexpensive ice cream, try this place! I tried the Pecan Pralines 'n Cream and it was the best ice cream I have had in a long time! A single scoop is only $3.25. They also have cookies and muffins, coffee, and probably other goodies too, but we were just there for the ice cream!

This is a fun coffee and ice cream place in the heart of Old Town. Steben was super friendly and their cookies are great. I also bought a rainbow sherbet cone. Reasonable prices and hit the spot on a warm day. Gotta check them out!

We stopped this place when we visit old town ABQ. This is a tiny place but very cute. They have many different flavor of ice cream as well as juice, coffee, soft drinks We tried their ice cream and it is really yummy. The only con is they don't have many tables in their restaurant so you will have to hold your food and eat outside. Overall a good place!

My brother and I spent hours walking around the botanical garden and were so HOT and thirsty this hit the spot. Very cold, minus a star cuz no napkins, would recommend

What is down at the gazebo can Old Town listening to music started craving ice cream. So I took a walk over to Steve's ice cream. I had are butter pecan sugar free ice cream. It was fabulous I would recommend it to anybody. I can't tell the difference in taste between the sugar free and the regular sugar one. But my stomach sure can tell a difference. My stomach was a lot happier with the sugar free

This place is cute, it's family friendly. Have lots of ice cream choices. I would definitely recommend for a nice scope. On the other hand there wasn't much of a selection of coffee. Service was amazing. I was welcomed and treated with respect

After visiting a few of the other stores we made our way over to La Choco Salty & Sweet to grab a quick sweet to eat and support a local shop. From the outside it looks like just a chocolate shop, but the sweets section is just a small area up front and the rest of the store is tourist type products to buy like clothing, knick-knacks, etc. The sweets area is cute, they have a little cafe type area set up for a few people to sit and they have all the chocolates on display. Most of the treats look pretty good, but the prices are a bit high for some of the things. We generally enjoy grabbing a few truffles when visiting sweet spots like this so we selected four truffles to try. They do not have clear pricing in the case for the truffles nor do they provide any kind of hint to what is inside of some of them aside from the name of the truffle. I had asked the woman working what was inside one or two of them and she seemed annoyed I asked. We ended up getting the four we picked out anyway, and I was kind of bummed afterward. Not only were they $3+ EACH but they tasted like they had sat in the display case for several days. They were a bit hard, stale and didn't really have a lot of flavor to them so I was a little upset we had spent about $17 here on five things of chocolate that weren't really anything to write home about.

I loved Yay because they didn't charge by weight, like most shops, but instead charged via cup size, toppings were endless. Okay, I liked it, my daughter LOVED Yay. And like so many culinary lovers of ABQ, one day the place just up and closed. We lost Yay. Boo! I'm happy to report that we got our sweet treats back, with some sandwiches, coffee and frito pie, to boot. The owner of Blackbird Cafe (a wonderful cafe just a couple blocks away) brightened up the walls and put together a great little spot for a cuppa joe and a casual bite to eat, and get this: No, the froyo toppings aren't unlimited, they're... FIVE CENTS. The first topping is free, actually, but after that -- oh, please, don't fleece my wallet -- five cents each. One nickel. No no, don't worry, I've got the check. Look, toppings selection is limited, so are froyo flavors, but I'm not uppity about my cold treats. I'm so glad I can continue to spoil my daughter on the Plaza, and I appreciate the Little Sparrow theme, and the lovely plate that held my brain freeze.

I enjoyed it very much. As for the keto cookie, that was amazing! Had chocolate and caramel swirled into the cookie. I should have bought another one. I think I'll have to get it again the next time I visit. I received good customer service, which is hard to come by these days. Especially during this pandemic! The samoa bar, although messy, had the right amount of chocolate (I love plenty) and the red velvet was soft, cakey, and big.
