Both of our cars had, at various recent times, the driverside front fender pop off its clips. Each time a (different) person gave the fender a little chiropractic adjustment to get it back in place, and didn't charge us for it. The second time my car also needed some touch-up paint. Danielle told me what to order from Amazon, and, again, quickly applied the touch-up paint without charge. Surprising and delightful! Brought my car in for an estimate for a scratch I did while backing into a parking space. The woman comes out and says it will be at least $3,000 to paint one door panel. Then she states, "I am an honest person and I will be honest with you, you should tell your insurance company someone keyed the car and then you will pay less and it won't go against your policy". I said, "that is insurance fraud and I am not going to do it." She then said, "it's not fraud, because you just told me someone keyed it...didn't you." I said NOPE and drove off. Insurance companies BEWARE of this shop. Oh, I failed to mention that my wife was in the car with me and overhead the entire conversation where the shop instructed me to file a false claim with my insurance company. I brought my Jeep in here to get an estimate on repair after an accident last week. The whole experience from the time my partner called to when we walked in was great. Everyone was so kind and helpful. When I mentioned it was my dad's car, Taryn was so kind. He recently passed and gave his car to me. He took such good care of it. I have had major body work done at Heitzman and was pleased with the service and results. Today I stopped by for an estimate in my number. I was bracing myself as I thought it was going to be an expensive repair. Much to my delight the person who greeted me at the car told me she thought she could fix it herself. She got down on her hands and knees and worked for about 10 to 15 minutes on, pushing it and working with it back in place. between the estimator and a gentleman who came out from the service department to put in a clip they fixed our car in the driveway! Free of charge! I was blown away! When you walk into a body shop, you brace yourself for a huge expense. You also feel very vulnerable. Recently, we were considering buying a used car from a private party. The CarFax showed that it had been in an accident. It was not clear how significant the accident was. It had not been totaled. We took the car down to Heitzman to get it inspected. They did an inspection in short order and pointed out where the car's frame had clearly been damaged and shakily repaired. As a result, we did not buy the car. We really appreciated the great service that we got from them. They took the time to walk us through the inspection and show us the issues with the car. I stopped by Heitzman for a repair estimate on my Mercedes rear bumper. Taryn came out to look over the damage. She immediately offered to scrub off the yellow paint fixed to my black bumper. Taryn suggested it would not be so unsightly, at least until I decided to get the repairs done. Taryn then also offered to take the car into their shop to temporarily improve the nasty and embarrassing looking dent. She was a miracle worker and what a huge improvement! She refused to let me pay her for the work she did this afternoon. Other shops like Precision Auto Body in Beaverton charge $75 for just writing up an estimate. Taryn wrote up a reasonable offer and gave me a timeline for getting the work done with Heitzman's busy schedule. With this type of customer service....why would I go anywhere else? I've had to use Heitzman twice in the past two years, once for a small ding I put into my front bumper at a campsite, the other more recently, when a driver damaged both doors while my Audi was parked in a lot. OMG-Daniella is fantastic. All these other Body Shops, I had to make appointment out into mid to end of August/September just for a quote. I happened to stop by today because a friend suggested to stop by Heitzman. Thought what do I have to lose, I can make an appointment while I'm in there. I waited perhaps 2 minutes and we were at my car. The quote was outstanding, fair and had an open and honest conversation with Daniella. I never felt like it was a sale pitch. And they are a family owned shop-imagine that not a big corporation with outrageous prices. Will I take my car here to get fix, without a doubt. I did just read some of the reviews and I had a good laugh about someone getting upset because the car took one day longer. That person never said if they did a good job or not-she rather rip on the employees. Some people do think they are the only customer on earth, or that others are not human and can and do make mistakes. I found the customer service by everyone in the office today outstanding. Let me start by saying we took our vehicle here based on reviews...So go at your own risk because we had a different experience... They are not commutative or straight forward at all... If you want a half ass blotchy paint job with little care then this is the place for you. Also if they take off your decals for a paint job don't expect them to put them back on. :) Danielle was rude and argued with us which just seems not okay if you're running a small business and you want your customers to feel like you have integrity and want to come back. Go literally anywhere else... Also along with the lack of communication. THEY TAKE SO LONG. Like I understand it takes time to get parts and what not. But you won't get a timeline and they won't contact you and keep you updated. It took months and months to finish the job, on top of waiting months and months to even get in and it came out looking terrible and I was very upset and unhappy with the outcome with my vehicle that has a lot of sentimental value to me. I had an amazing experience with Heitzman! Unfortunately my new mustang was hit head on and Heitzman was quick to make a bad situation into a good experience. I went to several body shops in the Beaverton area for estimates. When I came in I spoke with Danielle and she sold it for me. I am all about customer service and she was beyond helpful and friendly. A smile and sincerity go a long way. And to top it off they had the most affordable estimate! I was told they weren't booking anyone out for a month which was longer than some of the other shops I had received estimates from. I called and asked them if there was anyway they could squeeze me in because I really wanted to go with them, expecting to get turned down, they told me I was more than welcome to drop it off and if they could get to it they would. I came in with a few paint scrapes on the side of my car and didn't have an appointment, but my family usually frequents them, so I thought I'd stop by to see what they could do. I walked in and was greeted promptly and I told them what was wrong with the exterior of my car. (I was prepared to pay for the repair paint job) but the man who was in the office at the time said he'd take a look at it, and after seeing it said it was merely cosmetic (surface level) and he fixed it on the spot - free of charge. The day after my wife and I got a "new-to-us" 94 Jeep, a neighbor backed into it (while it was parked). A co-worker recommended Heitzman's. The estimator was very knowledgeable, professional, and thorough. He listened patiently to my story and description of the damage, then checked over the entire vehicle. He quickly wrote up a detailed estimate of the repairs, confirmed the insurance company would provide a rental and called Enterprise for confirmation and to reserve a vehicle for my use during the repairs. After writing everything up and clearly explaining it all, he gave an estimate of a week for the parts to arrive and 3-4 days for the repair work. During the time the vehicle was in the shop, I received a phone call to let me know they discovered some more damage and the repairs would take an additional day. The repairs were completed on-time and I received a call to let me know the Jeep was ready. When I picked up the Jeep, it looked *fantastic*! They not only did great work on the damaged area, but cleaned the interior and exterior. The estimator reviewed all of the work, confirming my satisfaction before having me sign the paperwork and returning my keys. The repairs are guaranteed for life.
