I'm surprised more people haven't posted reviews because I know when the pandemic shut down the gyms, everyone bought some sort of fitness equipment for home from this place. Location: and the end of long warehouse strip off Kahuhipa (see the pics so you know what to look for ahead of time). Don't put into google maps, it took me to the wrong place. By appointment: because of the tight parking and limited space, I would recommend making an appt if you want to go in to look at things. If you buy online first, they'll give you a specific pickup time to drive into their "garage" so there aren't too many ppl coming at one time. Service: the first time I went, they just loaded what I ordered online into my trunk. The second time I went, Justin (warehouse manager) was there to show me everything including the medicine balls, weighted vests, sand balls, bands, and more. I bought my son a squat stand with the bar and a full stack of bumper plates last year along with the floor mat squares and just went back to add on a tricep dip station and a plate storage attachment. I was able to assemble the rack myself and put on all the attachments without any issues. It's pretty neat to have everything at home, I even sneak in a workout once in a while. My friend bought her stuff from here too & they assembled it at her house, not sure if that costs more but I bought my stuff during covid so I had to pick it up and assemble. I purchased large fitness equipment at another place here on island during the beginning of the pandemic before I found out about Hele Fitness. Husband and I have known about Hele Fitness for years, but were hesitant to drop the $$$$. Yes, it is a huge investment, but LISTEN it's an investment on your health and wellness. We finally decided to make the move after meeting the owner/CEO, Gus Mello, through some very good friends of ours. He told us a part of his testimony, how the Lord worked through him and his family, and how He has given them a gift to bless others. As believers ourselves, we felt moved to support his business. We went all out and bought a whole home gym set - the "Nui Home Gym." Before committing to our purchase, we contacted Hele through their email and got IMMEDIATE response. Loved it. We had a lot of questions and asked to swap out a couple of the 9ft posts for 12ft posts. The process was super easy. Paul and Justinn were extremely helpful. They have a shared cellphone they call and text you from. Let me just reiterate that we had lots of questions and they didn't make us feel like we were being humbug customers at all haha. They had everything in stock at their warehouse. TBH, we weren't expecting to have the equipment ready for months, but Paul asked if we wanted to pick up our equipment the same day we made our purchase! Great surprise. With some awesome help from a friend, we were able to pick up all of our equipment within the week. The warehouse is located in Kaneohe and is rather large and fully stocked. You can pull a truck right into the warehouse for easy load up. Justinn had all of our equipment put together and ready to load. He even helped us load up! Super thankful for that. Really glad he wasn't just some desk guy telling us, "There's your equipment now pack it up yourself." Saw him helping another guy before us too. Loved his energy and willingness to help! He let us know to contact them if we needed help with anything else, even set up. We're very grateful for this awesome service. We live on the west side and don't expect rain, but still decided to change out our hardware for stainless steel (thanks to our friends for the tips). You'll need a concrete drill bit for mounting your rig into the ground. Also, lots of drill power; it took us all 3 drill batteries for each post to drill into the concrete and mount it down. So it took us about three and half days total since we waited for all our batteries to charge up haha. Like I said, it's a huge purchase and lots of equipment, but from the energy from the staff and quality products so far, we don't have a single regret. Our family was introduced to Hele Fitness by our realtor who had purchased a rig for his home gym and had high praise regarding the quality of his equipment. We started following the Hele Fitness brand on IG and attended some of their community outreach events including a friendly, competitive "Inner Strength Tour". This was a lifting/cardio event fundraiser where the proceeds were donated to a local non-profit which directly helps the community. After the event, the equipment used during the event was available for purchase with a pre-order before the event. It was an easy process to place my order and after the event, their pick up process was efficient so I was able to quickly pick up my change plates from a Hele Fitness rep. This past memorial day weekend, they had shirts for pre-order that were highlighting the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) and 10% of profits were donated to WWP on shirt sales. My mom and I ordered shirts for pre-order and I got a call from Justinn, the warehouse manager, that our order was ready for pick-up and I drove to the warehouse. The warehouse was easy to locate in Kaneohe and they were having a BBQ event and sale when I picked them up. The shirts were sooo cozy soft! The quality of all their products stand out, even to the shirt material they use. We had closed on a home this year and moved in the same week as Memorial Day weekend. Our incredibly thoughtful realtor surprised us with the most incredible Hele Fitness themed accessories and kettlebells to celebrate our homecoming. When we went to the warehouse to pick up our shirts, we ran into Marcus, one of the owners, and he explained Derek came down there to discuss the best gifts for us. My favorite gift was the tactical backpacks which were like military grade, water resistant material. I can throw a pair of nobulls and lifting shoes plus a change of clothes, towel, protein shake bottle, hair ties, etc. We have family in Washington so the water resistant feature will come in handy. Adjustable straps make it easy to fit my husband, (6'1) or myself (5'2). All their gear is quality at wholesale price which is rare for fitness equipment on the island since quality equipment shipped from the mainland has a high shipping price tag. Don't anticipate getting your presales on time. We ordered our plates and bar back in April.. informed that we would get it in June and after many push backs.. we still haven't recieved it (it's now nearly the end of July). The gym I go to has Hele fitness crumb plates and after a couple of years of watching them get put through their paces, I knew the quality was on point. Platforms and racks can sometimes be hard to get at the gym. I wanted to get a bar, plates, and a squat rack to use at home; I knew exactly who to put my trust in. Checked out the Hele website then went over to the warehouse in Kaneohe. Despite not having an appointment, Justinn was happy to show me around, answer all of my questions, and just talk stories. After going through a ton of options, I picked out my rig, bar, plates, and 5/8" mats and Justinn even loaded them into my car! From design, materials, construction and metal finishing the squat stands are bulletproof and look amazing. The bar has comfortable knurling coupled with a consistent, durable metal finish and the bronze bushings are butter. The crumb plates don't have wild rebound and just look good and the mats are a must have for a garage setup. Local company, friendly and knowledgeable staff, high quality equipment, fair prices. Horrible customer service! I'm very disappointed in how they went about my pick up today. I had an original appointment time at 1:30pm. I arrived early and waited. Called a few times even. No answer. I checked my email and had an email (40 mins prior to appointment time) saying my appointment was canceled and rescheduled for 4:30pm. I stayed in the area instead of driving home. Came back at 4:00pm and waited until 5:00pm until finally giving up. Another attempt of calls. Even asked the nice guy next door if I was in the right place and he said yes. The gentlemen actually brought the remaining items to my house for me (20 minute drive away) so I wouldn't need to make another trip. And he did that after they had closed for the day. definitely recommend Hele fitness! Great group of people and awesome gear. Only downside is the adjustable bench was missing two bolts, not their fault at all, definitely just an oversight by the manufacturer.
