    Sons 12oz boxing gloves
    Loriann N.

Went in to look for sons boxing gloves for his kickboxing class & they have some nice gloves ranging in prices that fits your budget. Owner was super nice & helpful! Will definitely go back to get the matching shin guard set! They also have mouth guards if you need! Nice designs too! Their bags are so nice and pricy but the quality is made beautifully which makes sense. Found a new place for my sons go to needs for his boxing class!

Tatami Nova gi and the very nice patch they give you when you buy a new gi from them.

This is a great small fight store at the corner of keeamoku and makaloa street, upstairs. Kinda easy to miss if you're not sure where is at. Upon entering I got greeted by two very friendly guys, and that's great because you only have one chance for a first impression! I just got started training Jiu Jitsu and I needed a belt, they seemed genuinely excited to see someone getting started in the art and they started to give me lots of good advice. I felt very welcomed, and that's very important because going to a fight equipment store as a newbie can be a bit awkward and intimidating. You won't feel that way in this store. Even though the store seems a bit small, they do have a very nice selection of gear. Lots of Jiu Jitsu gis, rashguards, fight shorts, gloves, etc. from many brands, sizes, and for women too. Their prices are reasonable too, there is a small premium to pay when compared to shopping online, but you won't get the friendly customer service, and also the chance to feel and try a piece of gear before you buy. I'll gladly pay a few bucks more just to support a local small business that will give me lots of aloha in return. Aside from the brand-name gear, they also have their own line of apparel and fight gear. They have some very nice high quality shirts with original designs, their own Jiu Jitsu belts, and just recently they introduced their own fight shorts. The first time I went there I bough a belt and two shirts. That was about four months ago, and the shirts are holding up very well, the logos still look like new, and overall the shirts still feel great. Good quality. The second time I went there I walked out with a brand new gi. It was very reasonably priced, only about $10-15 more than online MSRP but when you take into account shipping charges (and waiting since time is money), it pretty much evens out. While I was there I tried a bunch of their gis, and got some good advice on how to choose a gi that's right for me. Needless to say I'm a happy customer and will go back many times.

The Merrie Monarch vibes must have kicked in and I had to finally pop that cherry. I initially went with my hula family and used that time to soak everything in. The next day I went back alone to purchase a few items I couldn't stop thinking about. Both Nāpali and Hōkūpa'a hyped me up during my visit and all items I tried on was sold on the spot. Countless hugs and mahalo were exchanged during my encounter with them. Again, I had to go in a third time just to mahalo your (business) ʻohana during my trip to Hilo! Just about a week later I figured I would "window shop" again during my lunch break at South Shore Market and I was able to catch up with Hōkūpa'a. Then after some time of being educated about the items at the store I was sold again - resulting in me purchasing even more items than I did in Hilo! More hugs and mahalo were shared that day. I can't thank Nāpali a me Hōkūpa'a and the rest of the Salvage Public ʻohana enough for your continued legendary service every time I visit.

First the female sales associate said they didn't carry the color he received, but he said he just wanted a small shirt. She said he had to return it to where he got it from....IT WAS A GIFT!!! He didn't know where they got it from. Then he found a small in the other shirt he received and the male sales associate asked if he had a gift receipt. No, we didn't have one. So he asked "when did you receive it?" My husband said on May 19. He said "Oh, that's more than 30 days-we can't exchange it." Today is the 20th of June. Seriously!?!?! One day late and no grace period!?!??! So now he's stuck with 2 shirts that he can't use....So CAUTION! DO NOT BUY ANY GIFTS from this place. I know if the person he got the gifts from knew they had such a strict policy, she would have warned him to rush and exchange them. Horrible customer experience. Arrive very early. The line starts well before sunrise. On Tuesday, the first person arrived at 4:50 AM; I got there at 6:00 AM and was already in the third section of the line. Another day I arrived at 3:45 AM thinking I would be first, but someone had been there since 3:30 AM. Small sizes are especially difficult to get. If you line up before 8:00 AM, you'll generally have a better chance at Medium through XXL. 2. They may open before the posted time. Although the store lists a 10:00 AM opening, it has opened around 9:15 AM. 3. Use the next-day exchange option. If your preferred size is unavailable, buy an available size and return around 9:00 AM the following day to exchange it. Keep in mind that exchanges are only for swapping sizes. You cannot purchase additional items during that visit. And since Small sells out quickly, it may still be difficult to exchange into one. Overall, the staff is friendly and professional, especially considering they manage huge crowds all day and answer the same questions repeatedly. Great store, but treat it like an early-morning event rather than a casual shopping stop. I would stock up on socks and sweaters with abandon from the Uniqlos closer to my home in San Francisco. That was why it surprised me that I would seek out this familiar store at the mammoth Ala Moana Center. However, I had seen a local vlogger's YouTube video where he showcased the Hawaiian-exclusive clothing they sell here. Jamie W and I decided to drop by when we were at Ala Moana. Although not at the scale of the Tokyo Ginza flagship, it's one of the global chain's larger stores with an expansive multi-floor space. They offer the Brands Hawaiian Loco line, which is quite a distinct array of T-shirts spotlighting locally renowned businesses like Leonard's Bakery, Hawaiian Airlines, and Zippy's. I even bought one featuring a bowl of Zippy's saimin called Zipmin (Photo 4). I also really liked their line of aloha shirts because designs came from top quality Japanese block prints. I fell in love with one shirt based on Hokusai's "The Great Wave Off Kanagawa". I had never seen one like that before. They even offer opportunities to customize T-shirts and tote bags using exclusive designs from local artists. There's enough here to justify a shopping expedition.
