Greg Luther the shop manager charged us fraudulent fees of $1855 for doing 0 work on the car (proof attached in the pictures). Totally takes away from a luxury brand experience I have called Mazerati the manufacturer filed a case against them. They have started an investigation, waiting on the results. It's a brand new Mazerati, less than 6 months old Took the car there for an estimate. It was part of the state farm insurance claim. The car was there for few days until the state farm appraiser could get to their shop. They couldn't agree on the repair price. So went to pick up the car. They wouldn't give the keys back to my car, until I paid $1855 for them (essentially for doing 0 repairs). I wish I had read the 1 star reviews from their body shop before we headed down there Save your time. Don't take your Mazerati there for any repairs. They are dishonest people read more

My experience is with the service department. It's been a long time since I was treated like an "annoying dumb girl", and this was one of the worst examples of that treatment I've dealt with. I took my vehicle in for its annual service, as I have done for the last couple years since moving to the Houston area. When I picked my vehicle up, I was told "if you need anything let us know". As I'm driving away from the dealership along I-10, I noticed a strong pull to the right. I called my contact back from the car and told him that there was a pull and it didn't do that before. He seemed irritated and told me to bring it back in, and he would look it over. A couple days later, I'm told that there's nothing wrong, they couldn't duplicate the pull, and so I pick up my car again and there is still a significant pull. Over the next couple days I tested the steering at different speeds, different pitches of road (from steeper highway crowns to flat residential roads, different lanes, and different types of road bases. I calculated the rate of the pull and gave an averaged number for the feet per second that the car pulled to the right. I had to consciously counter steer to keep the car on the road. I emailed customer service and said I felt dismissed, ignored, and cast aside. The customer service rep was very kind, and relayed the message to the service department. My contact reached out, said he was going to get his manager involved, and we'd go from there. I responded to the manager and gave him the history, my tests and results, and asked if it could be looked at again. The manager sent me a pdf to explain how to test for what Maserati classifies as a pull, and ignored all the data I had shared. I explained again that there was indeed a pull, and asked if they could check the alignment, the tire wear, the suspension, I brainstormed anything it could be to make sure they checked everything so we could figure out what was going on. This car is my daily driver and I didn't feel safe in it, and I told them as much. I took the car back again, they kept it for a couple hours, checked the alignment manually (because their alignment equipment was inoperable the entire time I dealt with them) drove it, and I was told that the alignment is better than 90% of the cars they see everyday. That it wasn't perfect but it was what they would deem safe. They said they drove it again and still couldn't replicate what I was talking about. I picked up my car again, they didn't give me any data sheets to show anything they had done, I never actually saw the manager that I dealt with, only spoke through phone calls and email. I paid a large sum of money for a service, dropped off a car that didn't have steering issues, picked up a car that was obviously driving differently, and I was treated like an inconvenience, told that what I experienced wasn't real, and sent on my way in a vehicle I didn't feel safe in. My next step was to find a different service provider and get another opinion. I took my car to Garagisti, told them the story, and they took me in right away. They were kind and professional, didn't make me feel like I was a dumb girl that doesn't know anything, and sent me updates with photos and videos and data sheets so I could see what was going on in real time. The videos I received from Garagisti confirmed the pull I was talking about, and the path to repair was significantly less expensive than what I'd have to pay Helfman. It turns out, they had to fix the alignment 3 different times, I needed two new front tires, and they even replaced the coolant reservoir because it was in poor condition. Helfman had said that the tires, alignment, coolant, etc etc were all fine, and didn't listen or help me when I needed their help. Save yourself the headache, lack of integrity, and gaslighting. Don't go to Helfman Maserati's service department, especially if you're female. Start with Garagisti and have the best auto experience at a great price from people that live and breathe exotic cars. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO CLASSIFY MY EXPERIENCE. Is it because I'm a Woman?? Why am I being price gouged? unethical practices? or all the above?!! I called Pat S. Last week, (he has been my Rep for the past 2 years for my Maserati) I noticed the tread on one of my tires was low. He asked me to stop by so that he could take a look and order the tire. I stopped by on Monday April 5th, Pat S. Was out for the day, Jacob (service rep) came out to "help" me. Jacob looked at my tires, I asked him if my car was safe to drive after he assessed the driver front inner tire was very low, he recommended that I leave my car there, he would order the tires. Jacob went to his office, came back out with his quote sheet. He told me " the tires you have on your Levante are on back order and will not be available for a month!! there is another tire available, but, it doesn't last as long" I asked "how much is this tire" his response " it's about the same, may be a little less". Jacob had the quote already written out...4 tires around $2080.00 and an alignment would be $1,120.00. I had paid around the same amount for the tires( which now I know I was price gouged in the past) I wasn't shocked. I told Jacob the alignment is three times more than I paid last year?? Why?? He told me that Maserati is now requiring a calibration when you get an alignment. I asked " what are you calibrating?? He explained it would be the cameras, electrical blah blah blah... I was confused ‍ I told him I had gotten and alignment last year, when did it change? He said around August of 2020. He continued to say...This is a new requirement, that we must do when you get an alignment. I left there feeling I had no choice. Later in the evening I called another Helfman Maserati, (where I purchased my car) and spoke with the service manager, I asked him how much is an alignment for a 2019 Maserati Levante? He asked the qualifying questions ( has there been damage to anything etc...). I explained that I needed to get 4 new tires and I would also need an alignment. Micah quotes me $300.00 . I called Jacob, told him, I called another Helfman and I was quoted what I paid last year!! Jacob then started back pedaling and said " it's recommended". I said "you did not explain to me that it was was recommend or optional" you said to me " Maserati made the change mid last year and the cost is $1120.00". I told him, Just get my tires, don't do an alignment. " if customer service is a priority, I'm sure they record their calls, I invite them to play the recording" As I rehearsed the conversation I remembered a past encounter with Jacob, again Pat was out and Jacob came out to "help" me. I was in a loaner car. I was sitting in my car as Jacob walked around the car and mysteriously there was a fresh scratch‍ (Let me say, I'm not accusing Jacob of scratching the car but I went back to the car wash and looked at their cameras of the car going through the war wash, close up and there was not a scratch. I left the car wash and went straight to the dealership to drop it off) however, I paid for the damages but it never set well with me. I digressed, sorry. I arranged to have a tow truck pick it up and deliver to A different Helfman. I called Jacob to let him know, I didn't feel good about our encounter yesterday and don't want them to do any work on my car, I'm arranging to have it picked up. I called back to speak with Caleb (service manager) I told Caleb I was coming to pick up my car please get my key I don't want anyone else to have it; he agreed. I arrived, spoke with Caleb, he gave me the breakdown (of no work done) and had someone bring my car. CALEB NEVER asked me ONE question! My car arrives at the other Helfman. I was quoted on the SAME TIRES @ $285.00 each they could have them in 3 days!? (No back order for 1 month) I also got an alignment for $300.00. I picked my car up yesterday and paid $1,761.51 total. I have had two good experiences at this dealership/service department. The first was the buying experience. I live in Austin, but became frustrated with the Austin dealership when I bought a Fiat 500 there. When I got home from buying the car, I went over the paperwork carefully and realized I didn't get a good deal at all, unlike their claim. When I decided to upgrade to a Fiat 500X, I found what I wanted and found the car in inventory at multiple dealerships. Helfman gave me the best deal and was very straightforward throughout the whole process. No tricks or run-arounds. The Austin dealership never stopped with the tricks and manipulation. Another Houston dealership could not give me a good deal, and the San Antonio dealership refused to answer my calls. My salesperson at Helfman was Janet. I'm not sure if she still works at Helfman (I bought the car in 2015) but if she is still there, I highly recommend dealing with her. My second favorable experience at this dealership was the service department this week. The service was under warranty, and it took 2 days, as was explained to me in my first phone call to the service department. Again, I had tried the Austin dealership but they (rudely) told me that the part was on backorder until October. I called Helfman on Friday and they said they had one in stock, so I made an appointment for Monday and had my car back on Wednesday morning. My service adviser was Matt and he was super friendly and helpful, including making sure that my rental car was covered by the warranty. While I was waiting for my car to be serviced, I came to this site and read the negative reviews and became worried that there would be an issue with my service. But later that day I received a call that my car was fixed, under warranty, and ready for pickup. So from my experience, this dealership is better than any others I have encountered. I will definitely return here for service and/or a new car, though I adore my Fiat 500X so I may never want another car ever. read more

Very disappointed in customer care at this dealership. I made an appointment a week in advance to test drive the Alpha Romeo Spider. After arriving, the person I was supposed to meet with was busy taking care of other customers, so another representative took care of me. I explained that I made an appointment to test drive the vehicle, but he told me it isn't an option until "we're further in the process of buying the car". My Fiat broke down on a Saturday evening about 5 miles from Helfman Fiat and I had to call for Roadside Assistance. This service dictates that the car be towed to the closest dealership. Monday morning I placed a call to Helfman to explain what the car was doing and why it had been towed. The service writer was upset because there was no paperwork that had come in with the car and asked me why I had the car towed to Helfman since I did not originally purchase the car from them. Bottom line is that they refused to work on the car. They only have one Fiat technician and he was too busy with customers that had bought cars from Helfman. Gene, the service writer, was unprofessional and treated me like I was a real bother for him. George, the service manager, told me that their customers make appointments for service and confirmed that they had no time to work on my car and offered to tow it, as his expense, to another dealer. The car was towed 29 miles to the dealer where it was purchased. Gee, I'm so sorry I broke down close to your dealership and that Fiat Roadside Assistance towed my car, that was not drivable, to your facility. I've filed a case with Fiat based on the unprofessional way this emergency situation was handled. read more

I was finally able to make an appointment to check the noise coming from the steering wheel after a month of pushing and calling. Once I was finally able to make an appointment, I had to pay for the diagnostic report, which showed that the defender liner was broken. Arrived after many emails and calls to find the salesperson polite. However, as they were new to selling Maserati's (2016) I was a bit apprehensive. Still I spent 5 hours signing the paperwork for a car on the lot and setting up a lease. I was hoping to get the car that day, but they needed more time to process my paperwork as I lived out of State. I was promised it the next day. When I showed up the next day I got a total run around for 5 more hours from multiple people. To be honest, I loved the car and put up with the many delays. If I had to do over I would have gone to one of the other dealerships nearby. To put "salt in the wound" when I returned the car (with less than half the mileage limit) I got screwed by Ally over a windshield the Heflman and me agree was not my fault! but no one will re-emburse me! I have purchased traded and sold over 100 vehicles in my life and many deals were OK and some were very good but this one was by far the best and it is due to a great sales person (Janet Brush) and a well organized and managed dealership on all levels. So I'm chiming in to let y'all know that if you're in the market for a FIAT, Alfa Romeo, or Maserati you will enjoy the vehicle purchase experience at Helfman. Recently I purchased a FIAT 500C POP for my wife and the transaction couldn't have been simpler or less time consuming. Absolutely NO AGGRIVAGATION or GAME PLAYING! I did the entire deal over the phone, email and text with an outstanding sales person there. Her name is Janet Brush and she is the internet manager. I searched the inventory on line found exactly the vehicle we wanted. Called for the price (which by the way was excellent) and made the arrangements to pick up the car a few days later. Gave Janet the down payment via credit card over the phone and completed the credit app that way too. She called me a few hours later to congratulate me and let me know that we were approved. She patiently reviewed and explained the figures to me and we confirmed the pick up time and date. Texted to confirm the morning of P/U that we were running an hour late but no problem. Got to the dealership and the car was ready and out front for delivery. Went over everything with Janet and she took plenty of time with my wife in the car explaining how everything worked. Waited in waiting room for finance manager for about 10 minutes and took another 10 minutes signing the paper work which was prepared exactly according to our agreed figures and we were out the door. This was as easy and hassle free as a major purchase can be and I highly recommend the dealership and Janet for any vehicle needs you may have. Had an appointment for an oil change here it wasn't a busy day due to the Labor Day Holiday. Took two hours for them to do an oil change, clean, vacuum, and check my fluids. The wait sucked, the outside of the car looked awesome but the inside was a half a** job. I don't feel it should haven taken two hours for all that. Once I got home I realized they removed my personal license plate frames to put their own to I guess "promote" themselves.. (I bought my Fiat from Clear Lake).. Annoyed, I called the dealership spoke to Eric about the frames being removed from my car he said "he found them and would mail them out to us." Two weeks later still nothing. I know it's cheap frames but there's no need to remove anything off someone's vehicle and obviously the costumer service isn't all that great. read more
