I arrived and they were very pleasant folks. The salesman was very personable and always polite. As was the owner. About 1 min into the test drive the BMW I was test driving went into reduced power mode and the check engine light was on. We returned. The owner said that last week it had done that, he was aware of it and had already ordered the part and assured me he could fix it. The VANOS solenoid....pretty typical BMW stuff. While a car essentially breaking down on a test drive is never a good look, I realize I'm buying a 10 year old German car. If he knew it was bad.... it would have been nice to have had a heads up when I initially called. But hey...people get busy and forget things. Stuff happens, right? I had some other cars to look at and told him I would most likely be in touch as all of the cars I had looked at so far we're not as nice. I looked at the cars, decided I wanted the car at Americas Auto Financial so I called back. Now I'm not sure if it was because I said all the others cars I looked at weren't as nice.....or if this is typical of the way they operate......but now the price was 12,500. Hmmm....why? Well apparently all those prices on their website are as-is prices.....so if I want them to fix the car then I have to pay. Yeah..... honestly thats what they said. So beware......all those cars COULD have known issues. Then when they sent the final price now they are also charging a $650 RECONDITIONING FEE. So they are polite, they are nice.....but absolutely are just as shady and sketchy as every other dealer out there. I sure hope the nice salesman finds a job at a better dealer before his boss ruins his reputation. Thank you for the good service Rodrick. Perhaps since they weren't making any "finance" money I was treated to the suddenly inflated price and hidden fees.

Andrea you did my daughter no favors with that temporary car tag when the car is not even safe to take on the road and is good enough for salvage, but that's ok because we all get back what we give and yours is coming. Emilio the sales person was great communicating. We agree to a number I would be comfortable agreeing to before driving 3 1/2 hrs to their dealer. I get to the dealer and the car is not even there. I get to sit around for 15-20 min because the car is still getting an oil change when I get there. After them knowing I was on my way and knowing around what time I was gonna get there. They finally pull the car around. The car has a hit that was not shown in pictures. The windshield has 2 very sizable chips and the tires are dated to 2023 but they feel like hockey pucks due to how dry rotted and cracked they are. Obviously no one in their right mind is gonna agree to pay 30k for a car that needs at the most minimum a new windshield and tires. Robert, the terrible manager there or whatever position he holds. Explains to me that even though those things were not disclosed and are not able to be noticed in a picture. He will absolutely not help me at all in price because he had already brought it down before I agreed to drive out. So obviously im getting pissed. Smart person Robert offers to zip tie or tape up the bumper so it doesn't look like its loose. THEY 3M TAPED IT!! 30k car again. Then I get mad so im just done with this bullshit so I decide to leave. Im my way out. But the lack of actual attention and care... Horrid. Pushed something I was open to, but never once opened my current account to see how I was set up and what my payments or anything looked like prior to insisting on needing to do a credit pull to see how much the potential new vehicle would cost. Would've known wouldn't be remotely interested given where I was at. So cool, now a pull on my credit that was entirely unnecessary. Around this time Tony came back and I immediately got out from under D&M. Same account manager had no idea I had gotten rid of the vehicle I had through them over a month prior. Again, either it's that disjointed or just absolutely no homework done. Zero regrets in leaving. Wouldn't recommend.
