**Careful buying the 2022 Lexus Rx they have listed!!!!!** Drove from austin after texting back and forth for a couple days to work out price. Emilio the sales person was great communicating. We agree to a number I would be comfortable agreeing to before driving 3 1/2 hrs to their dealer. I get to the dealer and the car is not even there. I get to sit around for 15-20 min because the car is still getting an oil change when I get there. After them knowing I was on my way and knowing around what time I was gonna get there. They finally pull the car around. The car has a hit that was not shown in pictures. The windshield has 2 very sizable chips and the tires are dated to 2023 but they feel like hockey pucks due to how dry rotted and cracked they are. Obviously no one in their right mind is gonna agree to pay 30k for a car that needs at the most minimum a new windshield and tires. Robert, the terrible manager there or whatever position he holds. Explains to me that even though those things were not disclosed and are not able to be noticed in a picture. He will absolutely not help me at all in price because he had already brought it down before I agreed to drive out. So obviously im getting pissed. Smart person Robert offers to zip tie or tape up the bumper so it doesn't look like its loose. THEY 3M TAPED IT!! 30k car again. Then I get mad so im just done with this bullshit so I decide to leave. Im my way out. Not so smart Robert offers me to swap our the wheels and tired ( and take care of that labor) from the car I was trading in so that he can make the sale. My car has 18inch base tires. The car they were selling came with 20in premium alloy wheels. This goober ( cant call him what I really want to) really tried to steal more value from me so that he can make a sale. Absolutely no respect shown to the costumer after driving more than 3 hours to see them!!!! Cant trust this guys! ! I feel duped and disappointed. Do not buy from this dealer! At first it was a great process. I bought the car basically over the phone and they shipped it. It arrived with damage on the front end from the shipper. The dealer told me they'd make it right... they sent me a late model basic car to use while they repaired mine. 2 weeks later I got my car back with still visible damage and a refusal to take any more responsibility. My just off lease EV came back with crappy body work, 8% charge, and tar all over the rear end. After a ton of back and forth with a manager they offered me a too small amount of money to buy me kdf but have yet to deliver. Its been another 2 weeks and counting... Bad dealer. Bad communication. I've had a terrible experience here that I feel compelled to warn others about. I initially called ahead of time to discuss purchasing a vehicle, and I was assured over the phone that I wouldn't need to put any money down. Based on that, I went ahead and provided all of my sensitive documents (proof of income, identification, etc.) as requested, believing that everything was in order. A week went by, and I heard nothing from them. No updates, no communication at all. I reached out multiple times, and it was like pulling teeth to get any kind of response. Finally, after over a week of waiting and chasing them down for answers, they called me back only to inform me that I would, in fact, need to pay $9,000 upfront to move forward with the purchase. This was completely contrary to what I had been told initially. Not only was I misled about the terms, but they had all of my sensitive documents for over a week, leaving me in the dark the entire time. This complete lack of professionalism and communication was incredibly frustrating. I felt like my time was completely wasted and my personal information was mishandled. If you're looking for a trustworthy and transparent dealership, I would advise avoiding Houston Auto Sales. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and I hope others don't have to go through the same ordeal. read more

The guys were generous letting me test drive the silver Mercedes 2014 E350, which they would not haggle in the price at all. In fact, they were not enthusiastic salesmen at all. The call smelled inside. The tires were mismatched with only one Michelin. I always had all Michelin tires on my former E320. When my mechanic looked under the hood, there was oil leaking all over. The brake pads had been replaced but not the rotors. I'm sure there were more issues underneath. It was at least a couple thousand dollars in repairs that were needed. The price should be closer to $9,000, not almost $13,000! Make sure you get a reputable mechanic to thoroughly check a car from this dealership before you consider purchasing. In the end, I purchased pre certified used from Mercedes Greenway. Great service and assurance I did not purchase a lemon. read more

I sold a Mercedes-Benz GLC300 to this dealership over a month ago and had a positive experience with the transaction. I went through Cars.com and received an online bid that they honored when I visited their dealership, which was honestly a concern since I had to drive out of my way to conduct this transaction. When I was leaving Houston Auto Sales, I mentioned that I would be selling my father-in-law's Ford F-150 truck in a month, and they replied Let us know before you sell the Truck. I contacted Houston Auto Sales and spoke to Emin about an offer to sell my Ford F-150 Truck. I sent detailed pictures of the 2018 Ford work truck, which has nearly 45,000 miles on it. I was informed by the salesman, Imen, to bring the Truck over, and he would quote me between 22-23k. Once I arrived at their dealership, I was never greeted by Emin; instead, he told another salesperson to bid out the Truck. That salesman informed me that Imen had given me a lower-than-expected bid, but he felt bad and gave me a higher one than instructed. After hearing the appraised bid, I waited for Emin to speak to me about the offer or apologize for driving out of my way, but he never got up from his desk. I eventually left with the Truck, feeling disrespected. This is not a professional way to conduct business with anyone, regardless of their level of busyness. I will never do business with Houston Auto Sales again! read more

This has been the worst car-buying experience I have ever encountered. I spent days communicating with salesperson Marcus, requesting pictures, discussing car conditions, and prices, and exploring financing options. Their lack of professionalism was evident as they were unaware that Chase wouldn't approve a loan for their dealership. After I spent $300 for the inspection and told I would buy it. things took a turn for the worse when I was ready to purchase. Manager Emmen appeared, collected my loan information, checked my credit, and then began miscalculating taxes intentioned. Initially overcharging my taxes by $1500, even after a correction, there was still a $300 discrepancy. After finally providing the correct tax amount, I requested the next steps for the purchase, but Emmen claimed he needed to contact with the loan manager and then inexplicably stopped responding. Neither text nor call was returned the following morning. To my dismay, I discovered that the car had been sold, as their website already listed it as unavailable. This not only wasted a week of my time but also the $300 spent on the vehicle inspection. I missed out on other potential vehicles. After explicitly expressing my intent to purchase, they had me fill out forms and run my credit, only to intentionally mismanage fees and delay, ultimately selling the car without informing me. This is an incredibly dishonest practice! I strongly advise caution when considering purchasing a car from this dealership. read more

I ended up returning my car and thank God I got at least 3k back even though I put down 6k and only had it for 4 months. I also referred my cousin to buy a Honda and within 5/6 months she had to change the whole starter. She later ended up returning the car also and her credit has been ruined since. Small dealer with perfect professionalism, excellent inventory, and genuine trustworthiness. I've shopped for a hyper specific vehicle for weeks (2009-2010 Infiniti G37 Convertible in white or black only with specific trim/features). When I found that Houston Auto Sales had one in inventory I sent an email. Marc responded in kind. He called during the window I had expressed in the correspondence. He told me about the finer points of this particular vehicle, carfax certified, details on each point of light wear incurred by the previous owner, and the options with which it was equipped. I made an appointment to come down and see the car. Upon arrival both Marc and the car were there to greet me. I won't feign an experts ability to immediately and accurately judge character. But, Marc was genuine, professional and friendly. The car was as described. I ultimately made the purchase. Though, I sincerely had exactly the vehicle for which I was looking, the inventory begged a second glance. I can honestly say that had I not driven home in the beautiful convertible, I would have found a number of exemplary vehicles from which to have chosen. Came to add to the positive reviews I've seen about this place in other sites...and realized there wasn't a Yelp one already. HAS is a small-ish shop with about 50+ cars in a warehouse area on the west side of Houston. No frills-offices so you don't pay for it in the cost of the car. Driving from out of the city, we didn't know what to expect but they made us feel very much at ease. Test drive the car--no pressure. Have a 3rd party do an inspection--no problem. Bring our own financing--no issues. There were several other people also buying on a Saturday afternoon and everyone was taken care of, whether they bought or not. The team at this place does their best to do make you feel good about your buying decisions. The cars are fairly priced and most looked to be in good condition. We ended up buying ours after the test drive and negotiating a bit--but again, no pressure. Highly recommended if you're in the Houston area...or come on down from Dallas like us! read more

I was lied to and mislead until they discovered that I wasn't falling for their lies. I don't intend to hurt or damage the reputation of the company, but I feel the need to tell the truth, because I was mislead to this company due to their questionable reviews. I'm going to summarize my horrible experience with them briefly. Here's a list of some vital topics within our lengthy conversation... -The cash price for the car, a used 2006 Toyota Highlander with 136,000 miles, was $7,785.00 -Due to poor credit, and a low-down payment, the supposed loan lender, Credit Acceptance Corp., has charged us $2,000 for giving the loan. -The $450 GAP Insurance was mandatory to receive from the dealer, and wouldn't greatly impact the cost of things if it were to be removed. I informed the finance manager that I was aware of GAP being optional, it isn't mandatory, therefore, I refused it. The reps continued to emphasize the small impact on the monthly payments that the deduction of GAP has. However, I continuously told them that I was unwilling to spend $450 on something that I won't use. They then said that removing the GAP won't decrease the Purchase Price of the car, and I told them that didn't make any sense. If the GAP was used to calculate the purchase price, the purchase price should decrease when deducted. They told me that it wouldn't, and later told me that it would as we we're walking out of the door. -As buyers, we should focus on the monthly aspect of the finances, instead of the total purchase price. I know that this is a scam tactic, I just never experienced it like this before. -We were also told that the purchase price of the car included a multitude of the dealer's fees. $632 for taxes, $252 fee for docs, title, etc., and the $450.00 GAP fee. If the initial price of the car was $7,785, and increased to $9,785 solely due to a $2,000 charge from the loan lender, then how could these other fees possibly be included within the final purchase price? I asked for an itemized list of the cost breakdown, and some verification for the supposed loan lender, and received a word doc with a simple breakdown, and I never received any verification about the Credit Acceptance Corp.'s $2,000 loan fee. Later, the financing manager admits that there was never a $2,000 fee from any lender. Instead of admitting this truth early on, he continuously ignored us, often walking right past us, even though he told us that he would bring us back paperwork that he never did. -The finance manager later admits that they are selling the car to me for $9,785, and the approval and info that they'd used to give us our info had not been accepted yet. I told him that a purchase price of $9,785, in addition to other fees, totaling about $14,000+ was extremely high for that car. According to a variety of resources and tools that I used to receive a ballpark estimate, they were trying to sell the car for hundreds of dollars above the fair market price, and exceeding the purchase price for the car in excellent condition. I asked the finance manager if the price of the vehicle was negotiable, he said yes, but continued to speak at me with frustration. He rudely continued to subtly kick us out of the building as they were closing. These guys are cons, and tried to use everything that they felt that they had over me as leverage. Thank God, I did my homework, and asked questions. They would've gotten over on me, just as they did others. read more
