A mostly empty $10 plastic bowl of salad items.
    Alan F.

I've used this chain quite a bit since the COVID-19 thing happened in mid-March. There was no dine-in, so I went here (and still do) for carry-out salads. During the beginning of COVID, they limited the items they offered (not sure why, maybe availability) but I was OK with that. After about eight weeks, they returned offer all the "toppings" they had before mid-March. A salad that the customer picks what he/she wants, but without any chicken/shrimp/salmon is about $10 with tax & is served in a plastic bowl. That's a decent amount considering I'm able to get a salad with grilled chicken for about the same amount elsewhere, but not with the variety of fresh salad vegetables offered by Hello Bistro. Recently, I went in for my usual proteinless salad that I typically get mid-day, then take home & refrigerate for dinner. After paying, the preparer started my order. She began with my choice of lettuce & seemed to skimp on it, but I didn't say anything. Then I started saying what else I want & noticed that she continued to skimp on the toppings, grabbing teeny amounts of each item in the serving tongs. I still decided not to say anything so I asked for an item I don't typically get & asked for an extra "serving" of another item. It seemed to me she was of the notion that the diced red peppers were really rubys, the diced green peppers were emeralds, the bits of califlour were diamonds, and the lettuce leaves were really $100 bills, as she was so meticulous to not give me too much. I did specify a specific amount of feta cheese, which I got & the salad was drowned in dressing. NOTE: I think they make their own dressings & the one I always request, I like a lot. And for some reason, she was very generous with the crunchy add-ins & asked if I wanted more, but I declined. I'm there primarily for the variety of vegetables. As noted, I got it home & stowed it in the refrigerator & below (or above) is what I ended up with for dinner. I've probably had two or three per week since early 2020 & this one salad was so noteworthy for it's nothingness. Instead of the glass being half-full, the plastic bowl is. Hopefully the trend does not continue.

Came here as soon as they opened for lunch. They offer beyond burgers which I appreciate since I don't eat meat. Their fries were seasoned very nicely and were tasty. I like how they prepare the salads in front of you. Self serve drink station along with both a ketchup pump AND ranch pump which I've never seen before.

Well, today was the day, and we had high expectations based on the photos and other Yelp reviews that we saw before dinner. It, unfortunately, did not live up to our expectations. The outdoor seating area is nice, and the entire restaurant gives off an upscale Primanti's vibe. We ordered the Pabst burger, Fried chicken sandwich, buffalo wings, and kids' chicken tenders. The French fries ended up being the favorite part of our meals. Everything else was so-so. Warning on the wings... They came out incredibly hot. I ate everything else in my meal and came back to them, but they were still almost too hot to eat. The service was solid, and the food came to our table quickly. I understand that "Tap House" is directly in the restaurant's name, but the patrons at the table next to us were enjoying Happy Hour heavily, and their conversation, during our time there, eroded into a significant amount of loud cussing. It definitely made me second-guess whether I would go here with my kids again. I think we'll give it another try, and I hope that today was just an off day.

Burgatory is a vibrant burger spot with a bar and plenty TVs. Making it the perfect spot to watch sports and grab a drink/meal. I ordered the wagyu burger with a side of fries. The burger was delicious, just slightly over cooked. Fries were hand-cut and amazing! I loved that they use vinegar on them for that zesty kick. +Customer service was okay. +Plenty of free parking. +Good for parties/large groups +Prices are average paid about $20 for burger and fries. Thick, rich, indulgent... basically dessert doing the absolute most. And bonus points for bringing out the extra shake that wouldn't fit in the glass--because no one should be denied that kind of joy. On the savory side, I ordered the cheeseburger sliders with baked beans. The sliders were perfect for snacking--juicy, classic burger flavor--and I loved that they brought out a plate with lettuce and tomato on the side so you can build it your way. Thoughtful touch. The chili was zingy, rich, and packed with flavor. Great food, fun vibes, and staff that clearly gets it. Burgatory continues to deliver, and I'll absolutely be back--probably sooner than I should be.

I always love making my own custom burger, changing up the seasoning, sauce, and toppings. This time I tried their house sauce, which reminded me of a much better Big Mac sauce, it was delicious. My burger was juicy and cooked exactly how I like, topped with fresh banana peppers, onion, and tomato. Their pretzel buns are incredible, always fresh and full of flavor especially after soaking up some sauce. Only negative I experienced was an annoying amount of flies that were around our table. Several landed on our food/drinks and even flew into my friends eye. I ended up having to smack a few so we could eat in peace.

Shake was incredible. I got the turtle shake cause some portion gets donated to PGH aquarium for turtles. The habanero wings were crispy and good, but small. The burger was underwhelming. There was little to no seasoning on anyone's burger or fries. There's one shot to make a good impression so we come back and repeatedly spend the $112.69 on my family at happy hour. I'm sad to report that we will likely not be back. The ambiance was phenomenal, and we liked our server, Crystal (?? I think. She was very nice and attentive). The cornbread was also bland, and was supposedly jalapeño cheddar. Honey butter lacked salt, which is imperative for good honey butter.
