After my initial appointment, the general manager Nicole reached out to me. She was very kind and apologetic on behalf of her staff. When we talked on the phone, Nicole addressed every aspect of my review with me and assured me that the girls on her team would all talk about it to make sure there is a cohesive understanding of their salons procedures. She was very professional. Nicole also offered me another Brazilian wax free of charge as well as an enzyme and mask treatment. I gladly accepted! I worked with one of her lead technicians (Lexi I believe) who was very kind. After the wax, we did the enzyme treatment then the mask and she even suggested leaving it on to go home with so it could have the maximum application time! Which I gladly did. It was a refreshing experience compared to last time and I haven't had a single ingrown since which in my opinion means that future enzyme treatments would be worth it to me. I went here on September 19th because I was offered a free bikini wax. They offered to upgrade it to a Brazilian wax for $18. So of course it's not a bad price so I agreed to the upgrade when I set up the appointment. It was a nice place and seemed clean. However, it was very awkward when my aesthetician's hair was down and touched my feet and legs while she was waxing me. But my aesthetician was very professional and walked me through my first time. I moved to Arizona from California a couple months ago. I've always went to the same lady for my Brazilian since I first started getting waxed. I'm consistently every 4 weeks on the dot client. I have always loved my services here (I just do the Brazilian sugar membership) and the ladies I have seen are amazing and fast. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the front office staff leaves a lot to be desired. It's not that they are rude, but very uninterested and not friendly. Today I walked in, no one was at the front, and then she came in a few minutes later with snacks. As I was leaving, she was texting and could hardly be bothered to look at me. It's like my presence is a nuisance. I've seen many different people in the front and it's almost always been this way, so it's not just one person. If I didn't already like the service I got here, I wouldn't go because the front is so off-putting. read more

I've been to this location twice now and I've always had such a great experience. Today's experience, in particular, was spectacular! Karley is so sweet and totally knows what she's doing. She's easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable. She's a perfectionist so I'd definitely recommend her if you're looking to get a perfect landing strip! The location of this Hello sugar is tucked behind AJ's Fine Foods next to all you would want around you (nails, hair, shopping, restaurants,etc). The experience was great and I had a great staff member who let me try the sugar vs. regular wax. Personally, I prefer regular wax, but the result was great. My eyebrows look great. Okay. I have NEVER and I mean NEVER gotten a Brazilian wax or even a bikini wax. This was my first time ever going to a waxing salon and I decided to do a Brazilian sugaring. I received many text messages as to where the best place to park was and how to prepare for my appointment. That information was so helpful and beneficial! I arrived and was greeted by the receptionists. Now, I've been a receptionist for many different salons/businesses and I will say that these two girls were not interested in anything I had to say. They kinda rolled their eyes at any lighthearted conversation I made. Whatever-- I guess. But for my appointment, I had Lexi. Lexi was incredible. She was so nice and kept talking to me during my appointment and told me everything I needed to know about aftercare of a Brazilian sugaring. She was also great at calming my nerves and just being an amazing esthetician!! The prices are kinda up there but I can assure that the services are more than worth it. Overall, I would go back for Lexi's wonderful service or any of the other amazing estheticians-- but I could easily pass on the rude and unenthusiastic receptionists. read more

Sugar me wax is the worst experience of my life! First it started with trying to get an appointment. I used their texted service which I thought was convenient..ITS NOT! Every time they gave me a time slot and I tried to confirm, the next message I would get was "sorry that time is no longer available". Eventually it got to a point where a manger offered the appointment as complimentary. Now I'm at my appointment (early) and the doors to the building are locked. I kept calling and no one picked up. Then I texted, no text back. I finally get into the building (it is now 5 min before my appointment) and apparently a member came in so she goes before me even though I made an appointment and she didn't. Today, was my first day going to this particular place. The staff was friendly and professional including the receptionist. I showed up a little early to my appointment and checked in to let them know that I was there. When Yocelin was ready for me she came and told me she was ready whenever I was. When I got in to the room, she was professional she talked me through it and it was quick and easy. I had the Brazilian sugar wax, and I prefer it over the traditional wax. If you're used to getting waxed, you'll literally be in and out in 15-20 mins. I love how fast it is and how thorough it always is here. And I would recommend signing up for the membership, especially if it's your first time going. The membership really makes sense, especially if you keep up with your Brazilian waxes. I hate posting bad reviews, but this needs to be said. I've been getting sugared for the last two years in Chicago, so I feel very comfortable with my knowledge of what feels right/wrong. I went in for the promotional sugar Brazilian for $20, and was so excited! The salon is text-only, and does not answer their phone. Okay, no sweat, makes it harder but I can deal. When I went in, my aesthetician didn't ask me my history, skin type, etc. I'm used to aestheticians giving you a moment alone to undress and put a towel over your lower half, but mine just looked at me and said "get undressed and hop on the table." Maybe this is a personal preference, but I didn't feel great undressing while someone was right there. We both know I'm about to Winnie the Pooh, but a bit of privacy before would be great. It was incredibly painful, the sugar was much too cold (it dragged painfully against my skin--I've gotten quite a few done, and I remarked that it was colder than normal and was told "oh this is just my preference, I like it cold to warm up in my hand later.") It was so painful I asked for a break, which I was given for five seconds and then she was back at it before I indicated I was ready. When finished there was no tweezer cleanup, nothing. The aesthetician gave me a long offer of their subscription packages, which was more than she'd asked me the whole time about my skin or history. When I checked out, the front desk staffer let me put a tip on the screen and said I was good to go. I asked "but don't you need my card?" to which she responded "we have one on file." I said no she didn't, and it turns out she didn't even check who I was, but let me put a tip on someone else's card! And didn't stop the transaction, just seemed very blasé. The whole experience was just uncomfortable and very bad, and I left feeling kind of exposed and violated. I would never recommend this place. read more

So in February I had a scheduled Brazilian wax. My appointment got changed to a girl named Rachel which I thought was fine at the time. She was very unprofessional and made my experience uncomfortable. I felt as if she was very rough with me which left me feeling sore and irritated a lot longer than I usually do not to mention I had hair breakage because of how she was doing it! I later find out there have been racial issues regarding her that were never addressed which is completely unacceptable because it made me feel that how she performed the services on me could have been intentional being how I am a person of color. I just hope no one else went through the same thing because it definitely was not a nice feeling. I will not be returning especially if this is the kind of behavior the company excepts. I hope this situation gets addressed the proper way to spare any future customers the same bad experience! read more
