The girl who did my eyebrows did so haphazardly and was very messy. I could hear her throwing stuff on the ground while she was doing my eyebrows, there were strings of wax around, and she got really close to my hair and eyelashes. It was a really uncomfortable experience whereas I've had very calming experiences getting my eyebrows done. When I checked my eyebrows out after there were several patches that she missed. The wax was also ridiculously expensive for the treatment received. $20 for a clean-up is overpriced but I'll pay it if the esthetician is good and the experience is comfortable. I would never recommend this place. I hated my service. I got a Brazilian wax. It was by far the worst. Towards the end when the lady was trying to sell me a membership plan, it's like she knew I wasn't going to buy (I never buy cause I go whenever I want even if it's months in between not every 4-6 weeks) it so instead of treating me with care she ripped off the wax without even a warning. Every waxer I've been to always tells me to breath in and breath out for the rip. She didn't do it, just to hurt me. Every waxer I've been to that I'm not a regular with, does that crap and it's ridiculous that you feel you have to inflict pain without warning just because someone doesn't wanna buy your membership so you can make your commission. Total bs. My lips hurt for two days. That never happens not even with my first ever wax. She also asked me for a tip. What kinda crap is that? I hated my service, her technique was horrible and so painful compared to my very first wax and every other wax I've ever had, yet I was guilted into tipping, because she practically begged for it in front of another customer and that makes me look shitty if I would've said no gratuity just my bill thanks. She literally said "gratuity in cash or card?" Like what??? Who tf even asks that. I work in a place where I get tipped. Not once have I or anyone ever asked for a tip. It's never expected, just appreciated. I will never be returning to your location. By the way Nijera Bell was my waxer. I would recommend European Wax and Urban Wax over this place. They have better prices, waxers, technique and aftercare. I just came to this place because my waxers were booked out. I've been waxed four times at three different places. This was my worst experience. I was the last appointment of the day and the esthetician seemed rushed. I found whole portions left unwaxed when I got home. She had difficulty ripping the strips off and it often took her several attempts, which was especially painful. At the beginning I used to LOVE this place but lately it has been very disappointing. I was debating whether to post this or not but here it goes. I understand with everything going on with the pandemic some staff will be calling off or not show up because they're sick. But today AGAIN my appointment was rescheduled. So it's fine it got delayed... when I got there I couldn't find parking so I took about 5 minutes parking my car. Then, I walked in and the receptionist was nice and understanding that the parking was full therefore I got there late (Honestly, I would've been on time for my appointment if it wasn't for the restaurant next door taking all the parking.) Anyway, the receptionist texted the esthetician that I had arrived. We could hear that the esthetician was on a personal phone call and didn't reply to the receptionist. The receptionist and I were just waiting. After a while, she finally replied and said she wouldn't take me anymore because she was having dinner and I was 5minutes late! Are you serious?!! I thought the policy clearly states you can be up to 10 minutes late before they cancel your appointment. Back to my point, she didn't want to take me in because she was having dinner 5 minutes after my appointment!? An appointment that was suppose to last 5 to 10 minutes. It's very frustrating especially since I pay my membership and I tip 20% or more always for the services I get. I didn't get the esthetician's name or see her at all but It's very unprofessional the way she behaved today. I'm sorry but, Why go to work if you don't want to be there? So basically, my appointment gets rescheduled because another girl couldn't make it to work. Then, my second choice doesn't want to take me because she's talking on the phone and having dinner! Not sure if I want to keep my membership here anymore. Very unprofessional today and at the end I end up losing because I didn't get my wax. I suggest at least a couple of parking spots reserved specifically for the store to avoid future delays because of parking. read more

So I will start by saying I was a mess when I went to Sugar ME. I had been shopping around on Groupon and came across Sugar Me. I got a call back from the secretary who was able to squeeze me in for a last minute session. He was very nice and helpful even when I couldn't find the place he helped with directions and waited for me at the door. Now Layne is the women who cleaned me up. She was nice, patient, and worked very hard. African American hair is a bitch. I will be going back to her and will be taking my daughter along as well to get her brows fixed up. Great experience! I went in for the ever horrifying brazilian wax expecting that I would be traumatized and in unbelievable pain. After discussing with Crystal, I decided to go with the sugaring technique. BEST DECISION EVER. It decreased my pain significantly and left my skin nice and soft. okay, I had to wait a couple of weeks to write this because the last wax I had was actually a little traumatic for me. and I feel a little bad because i've had the best experience with my normal aesthetician I book with but this was so out of line it makes me mad just thinking about it. okay, so I had to reschedule my wax appointment like three times because first my car died and then I threw my back out and then finally on the third try I ended up with someone other than my usual (Gaby, who is amazing). and by that point I was like three weeks overgrown (I had to wait five weeks for the initial appointment because she was out of town in the fourth week), this time i was scheduled to be waxed by Cienna. so I get to the appointment like RIGHT on time, and usually when I get there gaby is ready for me even if i'm a little early. this girl? TWENTY MINUTES LATE she literally came out fifteen minutes after my appointment started with her previous client and THEN SPENT ANOTHER 5 MINUTES SELLING THE OTHER GIRL THE MEMBERSHIP and i'm just sitting there like "?????". gaby had taken a client AND GOT HER FINISHED AND CHECKED OUT by the time the Cienna was ready. i'm already pissed at this point since i'm usually DONE in fifteen minutes and i've literally spent more time waiting on this girl, there wasn't even an apology or an acknowledgment of how long the wait was either. now like I said I was THREE WEEKS overgrown and my hair is fairly thin so this should have been a breeze. it wasn't. first she started with the wrong part. Gaby always does the sides, then the bootyhole, then the front with soft wax to make sure everything comes out because the hair on the front is a little more stubborn, and then she cleans me up with a sugar wax ball. this girl STARTED with the front and I immediately want to die, especially since she used hard wax and had to keep going over it. then she starts on the side, first, she kept putting the wax on in the opposite direction of the hair growth so it was pulling as she put it on, i have NEVER had an aesthetician do that, it's always wax goes in the direction of the hair and then is pulled opposite, this actually hurt as she was applying it. then she LETS THE WAX COOL ALL THE WAY DOWN so she can't pull it off and is like "omg this stupid wax" as if the wax made her wait for it to harden beyond use! then she's like "i'm just gonna finish you off with sugar, I think you'll LOVE IT". it was super uncomfortable because she kept doing little strips whereas Gaby just slathers the whole lip and boom! one side is finished and all it needs is a little sugar clean up and everything is gone. anyway she does my bootyhole last and barely gets anything with the sugar and I was just OVER it at that point. when I went to tip her I accidentally did 5¢ instead of $5 and I felt a little bad about it until I got home and saw the worst case of ingrown and "razor" burn i've had since I started getting waxed and then I realized I shouldn't even have given her the 5¢. like I said usually I have the best experience here, but this girl should NOT be waxing the bikini area, maybe arms and legs and faces, but I actually wanted to cry when I saw the ingrowns, it hat taken me a year to stop getting them and here they were, on like the most sensitive area of my body. if you're coming here to get a brazilian or the like, don't schedule it with Cienna. (i'm still giving it 3 stars because Gaby is amazing and will give you the smoothest wax in a very decent amount of time and is actually on time for her appointments.) read more

I LOVE this place. I've tried many different waxing places and I feel like Sugar Me is the best. Lexis did my waxing and she was so nice, quick, and did an outstanding job. She didn't miss a spot. I'm now a convert. The only negative thing (which isn't that bad) is that this place is hidden. It's in a plastic surgery office with no mention of Sugar Me on the door. So when you get your appointment confirmation email pay attention to where it tells you they're located. Then you won't have any issues. read more

I'm a member and was sched for a Brazilian. I was 5min late due to confusion of sched time/traffic. I arrived at SMW, sat down, and waited for assistance. Receptionist walks back to room and returns to desk. She states we have to cancel and reschedule your appt. Another client is coming in 8min. Confused I ask am I late? Receptionist stated Appt was 245pm (arrived 250pm) and time currently 252pm. Something is not adding up Brazilian takes 25-30min. I take full responsibility for being late. However, arrived under cancellation policy timeframe. I walked out and contacted SMW disappointed in poor customer service. I have never complained when had to wait 5-10min for prior client being serviced. I contacted smw and wanted to inquire on situation. Apology given but my question was not addressed. So I asked for corporates number. Complaint forwarded to assistant manager Paige. Over a week of ineffective communication and no response. Definitely canceling membership and will research corporate info. read more
