After sifting through their large menu, I landed on a few items I thought I'd ask about. Thankfully, he was very knowledgeable about each item and what would need to be changed about it to make it vegan. I ordered the Crispy Pad Thai with Veggies, Pad Cashew with Tofu, and the Vegetable Dumplings (which he said are made in house). All were really delicious and good size portions. The in-restaurant dining room wasn't very busy but there was a steady stream of delivery drivers picking up orders, during my 15-20 minutes there. It's a modest, fairly casual restaurant with not a lot of "bells and whistles". The menus are very informal printed copies of what's listed online. But my experience included really good food, a knowledgeable staff, and confirmation of a great local spot for solid take-out. Looking forward to trying more of the menu.

I came here at 7:30pm on Sunday and they had already had all the seats indoor flipped and the place was completely dark... which is crazy considering they close at 8:30. With that said, almost every single time I've come to dine-in here, the same rude lady makes it feel like you're inconveniencing her by asking to dine in instead of doing take-out (and this could be hours before they close by the way). She rarely ever has a smile on her face and she always drops things off at the table a bit aggressively without any care in the world. She's genuinely just a rude lady. She always just drops the check off too when she assumes you're done even thought you might be halfway through a meal. Another thing that really bothers me and I genuinely don't know why I've continued to come back, but I've heard stories that she profiles people outside on who she lets in or doesn't. This place requires you to ring a button and she chosen whether or not she'll let you in based off of your look or SKIN color. Yes, I've heard that black people aren't allowed in here sometimes and so i'd say it's also a discriminatory or racist establishment as well. Anyways, the final straw for me was that we placed a take out order last night since clearly we weren't able to dine in. Everything was fine up until I decided to use the restroom. I walked to the back where it clearly said "men's bathroom" and used it. I did notice that nearly half the bathroom all had random things inside as if it was being used as storage. Didn't think too much about it but when I came out, the lady was just staring at me down the hall and looked pissed. Then she started going off on me about how she had cleaned the bathrooms and I wasn't supposed to use them or at least that specific one. Like how am I not supposed to know this? The door was unlocked and there was no sign anywhere. She had a really bad attitude about it and my friend and I were in shock. God forbid a customer paying over $50 for a meal wants to use the bathroom. I genuinely told her that her attitude is why she's losing customers and even asked "don't you guys want money?" In which she took that as me trying to give her money for inconveniencing her by using the cleaned bathroom expecting me to hand her cash or something. Honestly just one of the crazier experiences I've had as a customer at a restaurant. It's sad because I LOVE the food here and find it to be one of the best thai food in all of Chicago, but if you want to deal with rude customer service or outright discriminatory practices... then I guess be my guest.
