The largest indoor mall on the big island since 1985…read more....... The Prince Kuhio Plaza has been the main shopping complex on the eastside of the big island which provides - restaurants/food court, banking services, dental services, veterinarian services, shopping, and entertainment for all of the Hawaii community, & visitors abroad. Situated in Hilo town, you can find this mall just about a 3.7 miles away from the Hilo International Airport. I haven't been to Prince Kuhio Plaza in ages, as I had stopped commuting to the Big Island on a regular basis, but when I did finally come to this complex for work recently, I noticed a few changes in the vendors at this shopping complex, for instance Sears is no longer here, and a TJ Maxx took over a very large portion of the shopping complex. For a list of vendors at the Prince Kuhio Plaza, check out this link - https://www.princekuhioplaza.com/en/visit/ As a bonus, directly across the street from this mall, you will also see Walmart, a Ross Dress for Less, Office Depot, Target, Safeway, Home Depot, and a few other vendors who provide food & banking services. The mall is clean & well kept, this used to be one of my favorite spots to go to watch movies, whenever I had to stay overnight in Hilo. Of course one cannot compare this mall to like Ala Moana Shopping Center on Oahu, but at least the big island has a pretty good mall that provides many types of services for the big island community.

For those suggesting I call, I did. Acting store manager refused to allow my Keiki and even my wife from bringing one out to me. I lived w shopping here before now no longer. Walmart in Hilo did the same. They're owned by FEMA (Hilo Walmart) so apparently FEMA & whoever owns Target don't care a lot for their disabled customers. Long time customer lost out of discrimination against ADA.

This Target is so terrible I feel I must wait. Firstly, my Donor's Choose TV... I had to buy a TV…read morethrough Target because no one would ship a 75" TV to my classroom. It was a donation from the Benioff's to DOE and it takes a ton of work to do the requests. No one would ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever,e ver, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever answer the phone to check stock. I tried to pick it up at the store. I live an hour and 10 minutes away. Order cancelled because, although the website said it was there, it wasn't, so the system cancels but did not notify anyone at Donor's Choose or me. THIS HAPPENED FOUR TIMES, FOUR DRIVES TO KONA AT $40 A POP. I spoke with two floor and one customer service manager and those ding dongs absolutely would not hold the PAID FOR TV until I came to get it because I had already spent $160 of my money, not my school's to pick it up. They just could not figure it out, It took me over an hour to get a store manager to agree to keep his eye out and then put it in his office so it wouldn't get sold. That never happened. It was in the back with all of the other stuff in the back. Luckily, I came back the next day, so $200 in gas. Such a ghetto organization. Shameful how poor the customer service is. It is so embarrasing because people from other places that understand how customer service works come to Kona and get to experience how stupid people are..... And another thing- I never buy food at Target because it is always expired. I happened to pick up a bag of popcorn on sale because I was hungry- Expired again and I didn't notice until half the bag was gone. Target, you should replace your managers and service people. They have failed miserably. No one should have to endure such stupidity. I already cancelled my card and I am boycotting due to your cancellation of Diversity and Equality, but people still gotta know that you are feeding them old, expired food.
