Best liquor store! We were looking to buy a bottle of Macallan 18 and found it here for just $9 over cost!! You can't get it for that cheap in duty free! There overall selection is much more vast than most local liquor stores around here located on the avenues. The staff is really friendly, the guy always is so knowledgable and offers suggestions. This place is awesome, I don't even know what to write to sing it's praises b/c there are so many good things to say. The owner is a cool, super friendly guy who is super knowledgeable & always makes great recommendations. Even the inexpensive bottle he suggested for making Sangria (and you know you don't even need good wine for sangria) was delicious - his taste is SPOT ON. To boot, they have the fastest delivery time EVER & the guy also carries a CC machine which is awesome for a perpetually cashless person like me. What really stood out to me though was the time that we bought a bottle as a thank you gift for my bf's doctor & being that the doc lives near the owner, he offered to drop it off with the doorman! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The wines are as reasonably priced as they get in New York at a relatively small wine shop. I'm glad this shop is nearby my apartment, always my go to for wine, Monday through Saturday, if I forgot to stock up at Trader Joes. read more

Hands down, the BEST wine/liquor store in the area! The owner is always so helpful and nice + you just can't beat the prices. For example, I went in today to purchase a couple of bottles of wine. I grabbed a rosé and the owner helped me pick a red. At checkout he suggested I switch my rose for a cheaper, new rosé which they just got in stock. It's probably one of the best rosés I've ever had. So happy and thankful for the suggestion and I know the red will be just as good! read more

Roger is laid back, friendly and very knowledgeable about what he sells and will guide you to the bottle which best suits your needs. Best of all, he does NOT try to upsell you to a more expensive bottle. Prices for my favorite wine and my favorite vodka are the lowest in the neighborhood. What an experience! My wife and I just walked out of 54 Wine and Spirits. We arrived from Monterey, CA three days ago and have been looking for a knowledgable and friendly wine store since we arrived. What a stroke of luck and just two blocks from our hotel. Roger was friendly and definitely knew his wines. A number of the wines he carries are from our home area. We noticed immediately that, unlike many of the wine stores we have encountered since our arrival, Roger's prices are very comparable to what we would pay back home. We were impressed that he asked our opinion on his pricing for California wines. Roger also took the time to give us a bit of history on the store. Family owned and operated for 17 years - as well as a tip on a great New York style pizza place! Drop in and see Roger and you will not be disappointed. He also mentioned he offers local delivery but I think we will be shopping in person during our stay for the knowledge and experience! read more

She made great suggestions and was very professional in both her knowledge and advice. Her customer service was outstanding. I've loved this store for three years, and the wonderful people who run it. Great prices, vast selection, the nicest (and fastest) delivery person in America, and really just a great down to earth joint. This neighborhood has wine/liquor stores that are overpriced, or generic, or rude, or arrogant, and then there is 54 Wine & Spirits. This store is awesome! I went in today with a list of what I needed for a party I'm throwing tomorrow. This place is the best! I have actually only been in person once because their delivery is so good. The owners are friendly and always happy to make recommendations, regardless of price point.
